(Rendered useless by the server list changes. I had to change the .exe)
It doesn’t compare to Jazz Force, even the old xjj2. All you can do is list servers and grab some information from the server.
No character editing, no server listing, no server joining. The splash screen thing is irritating and one cannot use the program until it goes away. Then I have to click List and wait. This is not good. I want a program that launchs as fast as possible and immediately list the servers.
The options dialog is not prepared for a high DPI setting…
What size is this? 1MB? plus the images which should be embebed in the exe file.
As a bonus it cannot handle 1.21 s, 1.24 s and 1.24 x servers.
The reason I’m not giving this a 1 is because it might, if you merely want to grab some information about a server, might be as useful as other multiplayer launchers like JazzTool, Jazz Force and others.
I was surprised to see this upload as my top-rated review so I decided to re-review it. My original review of 9.7 was a little too much, so I lower this to an 8.5. This is a semi-simple little proggie that connects to the list servers and lets you see server information without actually joining the server in question – sort of. Whenever you join a server, the program joins instead quickly so it can grab information. I was glad to see that there is now an option to change your name. Just when I was hoping that I would be able to make it so the name and “joined the game” did not show up (this is possible with enough name tweaking, instead it just shows two blank lines), I realized that this program does not allow you to use ALT keys to insert symbols and didn’t allow copying and pasting, so any symbol that wasn’t on the keyboard was out of question – ouch. That was a major knock against it, since it is particurally annoying when I try to join a server only to find myself banned because someone with fast reflexes was able to ban the information bot before it could leave and exit (this typically takes less than a second, but in some lag bursts or periods of bugginess, the bot may even appear as a player on a map. There are sometimes contests to see who can kill the bot before it leaves.) Another gripe I had with this program was the way it handled connecting to servers that were pinging or had extremely high ping times. While it did have a well-appreciated ping out time, this took quite a long time in many cases, and the information it gathered on other servers was useless by that point. It will refuse to go on and look up information on other servers until it completes the information lookup on the current server, so it sometimes takes ages to see the information if there is even one server that is pinging or very heavily lagged. Sometimes, while looking up information on servers that were pinging, the program would hang indefinitely, usually until it was able to contact the server. Despite its many flaws, its usefulness far outweighs the few quirks I had with it. Its worth a download to anyone who plays Jazz 2 often and has always wanted to be able to tell information about what server they are joining. Download recommendation? Definitely.

Nice program with nice eyecandy and some other new stuff, but its getting annoying since there are already loads of other listserver-receivers.[This review has been edited by Super Saiyan]
This level, as you can tell from the level description, is a 1.23 single player level using the Medivo tileset.
It uses the tileset pretty well, except for a little repetition in the walls at times. I found a minor layer 3 bug or too, as well.
The design is well, small. It doesn’t take too long to get from the beginning of the level to the end, even if you take all the goodie detours.
It plays pretty well, though I could use a little more difficulty in my cup of tea. It feels like Medivo, even. Not, say, Battle1 converted to Medivo, but a level made for Medivo.
The enemy placement, along with weapon placement, is ok. Could be better, could be worse.
We shall watch your progress with great interest.
We never had the chance… I wish the demo content would go away _
No, it doesn’t work yet on the PC. I am a beta tester, and I’ve gotten only to the point where Over has, its a demo liscense thingy. Once we get past that, it should work.
No…Does it even work on your computer, Matrix?
It doesnt work on my computer.
It’s using some freaky mac bitmap.
Downloaded the SIT file… What is it… Hexedited it and saw it is compressed with stuffit.
Downloaded Stuffit. Uncompressing… Done. Running… Nothing happened.
Downloading ZIP… Unzipping… Done. Running… Ouch! All BMP’s are corrupted!
Replacing the non-corrupted BMP’s from SIT file… Running… Invalid file in the JJ2SU Resource directory… Deleting this file… Done.
Running… Boing! Now what? Demo license expired. Contact the original author for a newer version blah blah blah!
I’m sorry but this program doesn’t run on my PC. Looks like it needs some W32DASM and HEXEDITING to remove all those nasty windows. I’m gonna crack :P
And BTW Documentation.pdf is corrupted too.
It doesn’t do a thing :(
I keep trying to open it, but it doesn’t work (at my computer)
:(
OK, its a demo i know but it will be a full version soon :)[This review has been edited by MatrixCS]
