Very cool.
It does a great job at duplicating the Jazz style while at the same time adding something new. It also looks realy great. The fog is cool.
Some minor con-s:
- like Disguise said, a couple of things are missing (tubes, poles, etc).
- I also kinda dislike the copying of graphics. I’ve seen the (layer 8) clouds, the big mouth turtle and the weapondestruct blocks before (okay the destruct-blocks is nitpicking)…
btw…the keys and doorlocks are not new. Tomb Rabbit used them as well.

Definitely a very cool set. If you liked the game and would like to see Jazz in it, this is the tileset for you![This review has been edited by Ninja Dodo]
Ignore this and download the new version.[This review has been edited by Ninja Dodo]
Xmas enemies in Easter is the whole idea of the level. Haven’t you read the (short) story?
Santa’s elves are stealing easter eggs.
Weird I get a “Query problem” when I try to edit the info. Oh well, I’ll just say it here, then:
THIS LEVEL NEEDS TSF
I used the Xmas enemies hence the name ‘elves’ (santa has elves, right?).
woops sorry about that, I’ll change teh version number to 1.24 now.
Actually, you can use it for any kind of jungle level, and (of course) for a level with a Lost World theme. And in addition to it’s jungly-ness, there’s beach, mountain and buildings to make this a pretty versatile set.
Awesome!
Challenging, great puzzles, great obstacles/traps, the mummy enemy is cool and the level design simply rocks.
btw, did you animate that mummy yourself? If so, great work![This review has been edited by Ninja Dodo]
Great tileset; functional as well as good-looking.
Ideas for a future version; santa, elves and houses…
Personally, I think battling in water can be very amusing.
The weapon placement has been carefully thought out. You don’t need more weapons if you’re already carying 50 ammo of all of them. And the weapon placements has been made so that on an average run through the level you end up with roughly the same ammo for every weapon.
Hm, with every level I’ve made so far, reviewers complained that they were too small. So I made this level large…[This review has been edited by Ninja Dodo]
Actually there IS a batle level and a CTF level. Look for “LW, the battle 2” and “LW, the fall” on this site.
And a huge singleplayer episode is coming up.
All in all, a very nice level…especially for a first one.
Aiko, it seems your old review doesn’t entirely apply to this version, because the version I downloaded DOES include the Mez tileset. As for the mode it’s for, it’s written in the readme that it works best in multiplayer…
Hack2k, here are some tips for your future levels:
- use the other background layers (1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7) and put more decoration/eye-candy in a level.
-think long and hard about the amounts and types of weapons in your level. Finding the perfect balance can realy add to the fun of a level.
-Use tilesets that haven’t been used a million times already.
Good luck.
A nice, well made tileset.
I think it would benefit from a nicer background, though.
I think would give the tilesets a 1 on functionality because it’s non-existant. It is not possible to make your own levels with them. The whole tilesets are just three big pictures with a mask. They look very good though.
The levels, though, are great. I would give them a 9.
So don’t download this for the tilesets, but definitely download this for the levels.
A very nice tileset and a very good example level.
I’m not going to give this a higher rating because the graphics were copied from a game but I think the tileset is good anyway.
I love that water effect!
The rest of the level is kinda crappy but hey…WATER-WALKING!!!!
Black Ninja, please tell me how you made that level, or just release the password…
The best level pack I ever played.
Great tileset. Nice looking and well made.
