I have just come up with a very good idea today for Rabbit Adventure. I'm going to make Spaz have different levels from Jazz by making an intro level, and making Jazz and Spaz have different Start Postions and making them have different exits too. Here is my level list for Spaz:

Levels 1-4
*The Darkness Marsh
*Deforestation
*Sandy Paradise
*Dunes of Disaster

Levels 5-8
*Holy Temple
*Aztec Mountains
*Island of Beauty
*Pirate's Raid

Levels 9-12
*Sky Fortress
*Aerial Battle
*Dino World
*Prehistoric Nightmare

Levels 13-16
*Sacred Islands
*Statues of Worship
*The Forgotten Labratory
*Sacred Stones

Levels 17-20
*Hare's Clouds
*Decent.....
*Pits of Hell
*The Final Showdown

Because of this, RA Levels 1-4 definitely won't be on J2o untill next year.

This is my story:

It was a very normal day in Carrotus, until Bolly appears out of nowhere and captures Jazz and the other rabbits for Devan, and starts a forest fire in Carrotus Woods! Thats definetly not it, the area was quickly made to get a feel of what I wanted to do with the tileset, not to spend half an hour making walltiles look suitable. I never really notice that kind of tiling issues anyways, does it detract that much? I always feel if you're playing a game and notice the wall tiles don't perfectly tile, then the game really isn't all that fun.
The former part also applies to the waterfall.

It's probably the contrast of colors. Try maybe using a different version of Diamondus?

I think the choice of color makes it look kind of.. unhealthy.
And the simple design of the waterfall clashes with the rather impressive-looking rest of the scenery.

Because they suck, lack any form of gameplay in single player, unless you like collecting coins for no reason. There is no reason to put them on J2o. You should host them online as servers on your own, because they just don't work offline. And anyway, people would have to host and change your levels into their hotels and blabla.

Well, I practically finished my first CTF level a few minutes ago. Won't release it on J2O right away though; I'll test it online first.

The shortest path between the bases can be pretty well defended with bouncers.

Link works fine Camou, try jiggling your Flux Compacitator.

Anyways, I like the layout, it seems large and easy to navigate.

I have abandoned Tropical Paradise. I am making a different tileset called: "Natural World". I going to try and make it 0% painty, and I will use Photoshop instead of MS paint. It will be 24 bit. I am trying to make it as good as good as Disguise's tilesets.

@Spaz18 name it "Generic Test Level: Cliche Edition"
And have about 28 tests, have at least 5 of them be exact replicates of prior tests in the level.

Being helpful, huh?

SPAZ18, I suggest you stop starting different projects every couple of days. Did you even finish any of your previous ones? That would either render you incredibly quick or mean that you did not spend enough time on them. Just stick to one realistic project for a while and pull through with it.

Anyway, yeah, this is my first time I'm trying to make a CTF level (second actually, but the old one doesn't count...), here's a picture so you get the general idea of how it's gonna be.

The tile order is the same, or very similar
By the time the new conversion will be released you would make 20 new levels

Cooba's level hurts my eyes. ( Too red. Not the levelmaker's fault, but oh well. )
Paul's does the opposite, at least the second one. The first one is horribly confusing.

I can sort of see the other screenshots, but at this point are you even trying to pretend you're showing off anything other than "look at this cool tileset maker we enlisted"? There is no level design in that screenshot, no nonstandard tileset use, just "ooooh tileset."

Fact is NOKA being fairly motivated, can simply take requests of IC members and design a set easily by taking sepcific parts from other sets and fit almost exactly to the criteria to the level. There's basically a set for almost every imaginable theme (unless you count themes otherwise too abstract to be in existence). This gives them a very wide potential creatively.

Interesting layout. Needs far better eyecandy to reach the desirable aesthetic effect, though ( I'm not one for judging how <i>practical</i> a layout is, since I never played online ). A better tileset would be in order...

EDIT: ....ahem. Of course, it could still be improved on. Making the palette look even more like everything was underwater... add something to make it look darker.. you could arrange the background so the bottom part was covered by a dark layer so you only see the surface in the background, or have it covered with a pretty bottom-of-the-ocean background...

The tileset for my level is called "Lame Tileset" and I don't know where I got it. It only has 50 tiles, so I'm trying to do my best. Also, I'm going to try and make a treasure hunt version.

I also have the same problem with the flamey tubes, they just don't seem to fit.

There is some Buttstomp scenery to the right of those blocks so there is more below.
What can I do to improve it? I'm using the CZ+ tileset.

In the level, there is also a Bonus Area I am gonna put in it. The cost to get in will be 120 Coins. Any ideas what should be in the Bonus Area?

Well, color the background more blue. I'd say R:120 G:110 B:230, but you'll have to try yourself, and see what you like. Also, make the background move if you haven't already. That means, set the Auto X/Y speeds to something like 0.3

Perhaps some more blue/less green and red. Honestly I don't know.

Just one thing, perhaps the background eyecandy should be raised? It's kinda weird looking right now.

Used dark green tiles in Layer 8. Used R:0, G:0 & B:255 to get a cool light blue effect in the background.
I have also raised the eyecandy in Layers 6 & 7. Other BG I used in Layer 8 was ugly.

Though, you have to consider two things;

1. It seems to be a port of the SMB3 2 - 2 level.
and 2. The tileset has very limited amount of eyecandy.

As for the my opinions, I haven't got TSF atm so I cannot check it. Sorry. :|

Looks like I started a conversation. Anyway, The level I will be making with the Diamondus set will be a race level so it will still be different from the rest, also some new eye candy ideas are used. No screen though, the level is in a too early stage to show one of it now.

I forgot to put ßattlepack! and Night Cruise in the list, but that pack and that level were removed from J2O. Probably because there were no reviews(?) or the author wasn't satisfied or something. But P4ul has used Diamondus Beta 7 times, and worked on The Lost Battle Game's eye candy which makes it 8.

And Sacrush: I hope you can surprise us when your level is finished ;P.

Oh, I would also like to tell that I'm going to make a pack(again) and 3 levels of the pack are almost ready to be tested, The third level is an Orbitus Battle level, and I'll host it when I have time. But the problem is that I don't know a nice name for the level. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Well, that was the problem for me too. But the level has a lot of blue and yellow, so I called it 'Hypergenerated Shocks' thanks to Sacrush. The first name was 'No Particular Theme'

I don't spend time looking at Eyecandy when I'm playing too. It does have to be playable though (no bright yellow flashing bgs or something).

Not really, but first impressive is quite important in most cases.

Plus I wouldn't play Happy Semiconductor CTF/other popular levels if they had the same gameplay but looked like crap. ;P

MYSTERY. and currently the tileset consists of inferno, (-), castle, carrotus, jungle, diamondus and tubelectric (+some misc tiles)

edit: and i can add that i feel that the current mix of sets is enough for the level
