Rating Final Countdown
To start
In this level you must find the exit on time. Unfortunately this level has a lot of bugs and shortcomings…
Conclusion
Although this level has some considerably shortcomings, I need to give you nevertheless a narrow sufficient because the well maded clock. I was never able to create it! Good luck with the full episode!
[This review made literally no sense. “The eyecandy is absolutely not particular” and “I need to give you nevertheless a narrow sufficient” are not even correctly written Dutch sentences, yet alone English. Please rewrite the review. ~Cooba]
Not bad.
EYECANDY: There’s not much in the way of eyecandy in this level. Not that many tiles are used. The background is the same most of the time. 6/10
GAMEPLAY: The level was a bit short. You had to get to the end of the level before the timer ran out. Could have been made a bit harder but it was OK. 6/10
OBSTACLES: Some Buttstomp scenery and lots of fire. Could have been more obstacles. 6/10
PICKUPS: 2 gem rings at the beginning but there wasn’t anything else. 6/10
TOTAL: 24/40 (6.0)
BONUSSES:
The timer is really cool. +0.2
FINAL TOTAL = 6.2
GRADE: D
DR: N/A (7 needed for Yes)
This is not bad for your first level but I think some more obstacles and enemies would be needed.

Not good.
EYECANDY: There are lots of NES tilesets on J2O. However all 3 of these are bad. When you use any of these Tilesets in a level the character will look ugly and the score counter and text events become unreadable. The graphics are OK but these errors ruin it. 3/10
LAYOUT: The Mario tilesets have lots of blank spaces. The Zelda tileset has a lot of the Sprites from Zelda 1 & 2 but not all of them. The Zelda 1 Dungeon graphics are not there. 3/10
MASK: The masking is OK but the Mario 3D design looks bad. Zelda design is OK but the character turns out ugly. 4/10
EASE OF USE: The Zelda tileset would be way too hard to use. The 3D Mario Tileset would also be difficult to use. Some of the tiles can be animated but not all of them like in Zelda & Mario. 4/10
TOTAL: 14/40 = 3.5
I thought I’d try a grading system.
GRADE: U
GRADING SYSTEM:
S = 10.0
A = 9.0 – 9.9
B = 8.0 – 8.9
C = 7.0 – 7.9
D = 6.0 – 6.9
E = 5.0 – 5.9
F = 4.0 – 4.9
U = 3.9 or lower
If no one likes the grading system, then tell me.
Rating Hot Springs
To start:
In this level the rabbits must made it come to the other side. But that is not easy, because everywhere is lava…
Rating Eyecandy-
It is splendid level. A pink context with splendid green thorns. Moreover the lava is also very beautiful with all that lavafalls…
Rating Difficulty-
The level is considerably difficult… the lava makes the level extremely difficult. The only helping things are Springs, but then still it is a considerable challenge, even for the experts of the Jazz JackRabbit-players…
Rating Story:*- N/A
No story, but if there is no story I give no score for this factor.
Rating Bonus Placement-
The bonusses are well placed. It are not too much and not too a less. I have nothing more to say about this factor.
Rating Gameplay-
Excellent gameplay. Jazz, Spaz and Lori must cover a with lava area by jumping from platform to platform. But you shouldn’t do is too slow, because you will miss the Springs and then you are lost.
Your mark is an 8 now.
Punishments:Conclusion:
It is a fair level. Nothing more to say. Maybe less lava next time?
[Textile display fix. Ignore me. ~Cooba]
OK, I’ll give it a shot.
NOTE: This is the first time I have EVER reviewed a Tileset so my review may suck. I dunno much about reviewing Tilesets so I may need help.
EYECANDY: This tileset uses the NES Metroid style graphics. Unfortunately it makes the Character look rather ugly. The text and score counter becomes unreadable when used in a level. Most of the Tiles look really bad and jagged. 1/10
LAYOUT: There are lots of blank spaces which could have been filled in. 3/10
TOTAL: 4/20 (2.0)
DR: No
This tileset has so much texture.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy is……super!
10/10
MASK
A couple of minor mask errors, but it is still good generally anyway.
8/10
DESIGN
The design is incredible, there is eyecandy on practically every tile.
10/10
DIFFICULTY
Despite being an amazing set, it’s not very user-friendy.

There is no point downloading this because you can just change the 1up sprite in JSD.
[Unsupported rating (1.0) clearance. There was not enough support given for the rating. – Cooba]This file is pretty useless. If you want a sugar rush instantly, just type in jjrush. But that’s for cheaters. And you need 100 food for a sugar rush.
There is no point in using this.
This palette-editing program is very handy for making 256-colour tilesets!
It is very simple to use, and you can even preview what the game sprites will look like in this palette. It comes with a help file too. This program is a useful file for tileset makers.
This utility file makes colour reduction as easy as drawing a cloud in MSPaint!! It has palettes for all palette events, which are easy to use and require no palette work to put them in you tileset palettes. An absolute must-have for 24-bit tileset makers!!
[Unsupported rating (10.0) clearance. There was not enough support given for the rating. – Cooba]This level pack is the greatest on earth!!!!!!!!!!!
EYECANDY
Absolutely perfect eyecandy. It really looks as your in space.

STORY
This story must of taken you 5 years to design!

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is full of action and you can never get bored playing this again and again.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a perfect piece of christmas music. It has a nice rock element to it, and is good music to go in christmas levels. This is a very nice remix of holidaius.
[Unsupported rating (9.8) clearance. There was not enough support given for the rating. – Cooba]This tileset is has some very nice animations.
EYECANDY
This tileset is rather blocky, but has some great animations.
7/10
MASK
The mask is accurate and there are no holes.
9/10
THEME
The tileset looks much like a rainforest, but you could have had a layer 5/6/7 background.
8/10
DIFFICULTY
The tileset is well put together so it’s very easy to use.

I’ll start with the eyecandy. I saw that you used almost all aspects of this tileset(which is a very good tileset for the level) and thus you used this tileset very well. Another thing I noticed is that the layer5 had very good eyecandy , I like the variety you used in this layer. As you can see , I haven’t really something bad to say about the eyecandy. Next , the gameplay. This level aint 100% symmetrical and that absolutely improves the gameplay a lot. And it’s still not biased ,good job there. The flow in this level is good too , I can see you’ve been working on this. There’s one bad thing I’d like to say : the seeker PU is placed on a tiny floor , this floor should have one-way IMO. But that’s only a detail. Let’s continue with the placement. The carrot might be a bit campy , but the tubes in the middle can make you cross the level without your opponent knowing it. The Seek Pu is placed in the middle of the level so that’s fair , the bouncy and toaster PU aren’t paced symmetrical , but that’s fine as it’s still well placed , just like the other ammo : not too much , neither too less. Perhaps the 2 toaster boxes at the left side of the level will make this floor be full of toaster ammo as people will shot the boxes without taking the ammo. Again , this is only a detail.
Good job , Quickz , I really like this one;)
Rating : 7.5 (+0.2 for the music which fits this level well)
This is another failed atempt to make a good tileset.
EYECANDY
Nice Nes style graphics, but the extremly odd pallette spoils it.
2/10
MASK
The mask is ok, but with a very dull Zelda tileset design.
3/10
DIFFICULTY
Despite being a very simple tileset, it is quite difficult to use.

This tileset is one of hundreds of Nes tilesets. Rarely are these tilesets good. This isn’t one of them.

I think Xmas Bilsy would be a great idea. However if i put an xmas bilsy, my puzzle would crash. Because you can’t escape Bilsy’s fireballs while you’re flying. Also Bilsy can pass through the TNT blocks. So Tuff Boss was the best choice for the puzzle.
wow that was bad, some of the names you gave to the pics didn’t make since and only 2 out of 20 were funny. No good
Rating (1.2) clearance. You need to give more support for the given rating. ~Cooba]
This level is alot of fun, you have to rush thorugh hard situations without dieing. Which would be great for like a chase part of a story line.
The level was very hard, but I think the level is also fair to a point. If you would beable to see the springs coming by when your about to jump off a cliff, that would make the game much better. Still I wouldn’t mark off too many points for it, this is SUPPOSE to be hard! If you don’t like a challenge then don’t play it!
The backround is arwsome, the lava flow looks great, the back pic. gives the level a great tone, plus it matches the tone of the music, welldone. But the biggest problem i had with the background was the carrots that would pop out of the lava, they look like you can land on them when you can’t, you should eather A: get rid of them, or B: have it where you can land on them but they will callops.
Ture there isn’t a story line, and because of that you should make it into a Race, then a Signle Player.
Overall, I liked this level, the idea is great, and what u did with the belts was very cool. I recommen downloading this level not just to have a fun game, but to learn how to do more with your custom levels.
