Yay! first one to review:)
Well its a nice set with some basic stuff like ropes, blocks and suckertubes but it is not very detailed and it needs some more eye candy, everything is a bit the same in this tileset. The computers are pretty nice (I like them cuz I thought you were wazz:-)
the lvl is nice and the text in it makes
it funny (but dont worry, I’m not rating the lvl;-).
I give this tileset a 7.5 [This review has been edited by BurningBULL]
Wow! There is a new super-CTF-level by the king of the CTF: CelL! Nice level! (Eerhm… CelL make only nicy CTF levels ;) It’s not the best of your famous riddle, but it’s nice (That’s the 3rt x that i say that) Download reccomanation (good spelled?): Yes.
For basic tiles, we have a dark yellow box, with lots of yellow circles on it. Although it has top, bottom, sides and corners, it doesn’t tile, and looks pretty bad.
It does, in its favor, have all the Blocks. Bouncy, Stomp, etc. The Toaster block has been snipped a bit around the edges, making it look much better. Rather masterful. It also has H-Poles (not V-Pole!). Yes, the plural was intentional. He put in two. They even look exactly the same.
For background eyecandy, you have the option of making a wall with the basic blocks, and putting it in. Not too exciting. Although I can understand the thought behind it, masses of “money” everywhere.
Layer 4 eyecandy consists of three things.
1: A blue, pink and yellow thing that Is supposed to be Uncle Scrooge’s First Dime, in its nice little padded case. Nice try.
2: A money bag. A rounded triangle, with a circle on the top, and a $ sign on the front. It uses the same colors as the ground. But it looks ok.
3: A duck. I think it’s supposed to be a duck. It looks a little like one, I guess. But if I were Bjarni, I would have given up on this paticular bit. It didn’t come out very well.
The background is pure grey, probably supposed to be the inside wall of the money bin. It looks very indestructable.
Although I can see Bjarni put some effort into this, and was quite imaginitive, the tileset is just too darn unusable to recieve a high rating. Sorry.
I already saw all yea CTF before this was releashed
I can’t say more then that your the best CTF level maker i knwon =P
btw. when you enter the CTF server, the winner team is already choosen =D
“Skulg-man”, “man”… Skulg is a GIRL, man! :P. For review read Aiko’s review, rating 8,5. Foo.[This review has been edited by Fl@$h aka BlewMeUp]
Yeah this indeed is a good tileset, its very slimey and stuff but it needs more eye candy though the slime is pretty cool[This review has been edited by BurningBulL][This review has been edited by BurningBulL]
Pretty good. Better than the newer level.
It’s very time consuming to find your way through the level. There were also gaping holes that are easy to fall in because you can’t always tell what’s real. Maybe in the final release the ground should be more “solid”.
Ummm… arn’t you supposed to set the enxt level? Oo
There is a re-upload option btw Black.
The re-upload option isn’t even nececery if you read section B63-8.aC2J of page 72383579/B of chapter 94X of the tip of the day list on J2O (lol), anyhow to save you the trouble (hehehe) it says that you need to SPEND TIME on your levels and PERFECT THEM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. (just in nicer words)
007, reviewing like that isn’t even reviewing…
LOL!! This tileset rocks! ;-P
It hasn’t got much eyecandy but the blocks are cool and so are the “coins”.
It’s a very nice title set!
It’s so easy to make a level whit this title set! I hope there whill be more agama title sets soon!
Wait for meeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! ;P
Nevermind.
Alright, let’s get on to the review.
Cell’s Deserted Dungeon is quite a decent CTF lvl. It’s got good weapons placement, good gameplay (btw, I still think it’s Jazz unfriendly, baha! :-P) and nice eyecandy.
The reason why I like this lvl is because of the lvl’s structure. It’s very cool and and it feels like you’re in an orange icecream factory with big yellow limestones supporting the roof. ;-)
The eyecandy is as I said good. Nothing special though and sometimes, it gets boring but since Castle2 is naturally boring I’ve decided it’s not your fault Cell and won’t take away any points. BTW, if you ever use this tileset again Cell, use more drawbridges and make knights! Loads of knights! An amry of knights! All over the place! Knights! Knights! Knights! Ahem. Sorry.
Deserted Dungeon’s gameplay really rocks and it’s this that makes the lvl fun to play in. It’s got no dead ends, nice, smooth platforms, and well placed springs. Do I need to say more?
Conclusion:
Another great CTF lvl by the lvl-machine Cell. Download Deserted Dungeon NOW.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
PS: HAHAHAHAH! I got the longest review!! :-P
Yes it is. I won’t write a review about this.
Finally Cell has collected his massive count of CTF levels to one pack. This will help MUCH those lazy people who didn’t bother to download these separately. Have to confess: I was one of them! :)
I’ve seen some of these levels before, but not all. Mostly they’re good, but in some places the design is a little confusing. Still it is not bad always. The weapon placement is great.
Great Cell, we want more of these great packs![This review has been edited by Blade]
Put On NXT LVL mariodiscoFV
The background is great. Other than that, it’s pretty linear. Above average, but not very much so.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
My review of the tileset is in the tileset. I will review an example level that apparently was supposed to be included that I was sent via ICQ.
This is a bad level to go with a pretty bad tileset. It features far below average everything, and even a lot of eyecandy glitches. The tileset is used terribly, with more focus on the characters than gameplay or eyecandy. In fact, the characters often get in the way of normal play. The mask is terrible for this tileset. I got stuck no less than 10 times in only about 20 minutes of play, which is unacceptable. There is no way that I could recommend this level, except to even the most extremely dedicated Pokemon fan. And even for them, this level will get boring and annoying faster than you can say “Pikachu.”[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
An interesting battle level, really, though I can’t say I’m a huge fan of it. There are quite a few tile errors in some of the level, while other parts suffer from highly tedious gameplay. Overall, however, it’s a pretty good level and worth a download if you’re a fan of battle levels. The level is different than most things you see, but still just don’t keep my interest for long. Sorry[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
A good level in a group of levels with little members.
