The problem about ambient lighting is not because game can’t handle the size, I have got one sp level which size is 41kb and ambient lighting is working very good, but for example in my test lighting is not working. I have no idea why.

Edit: Level is not working for me, I don’t know why but i don’t have got this tileset in my TSF directory. Btw i remind something about lighting… Did you put water into level? If you did then its possibile that lighting will not work. I found an article about ambient lighting under water, and there was something about changing colour of water using ambient lighting, it was working only at 8bit. So if im sure, thats possibile why ambient lighting is not working in your level, but if you didn’t put water into level then i have no idea why that’s not working.

Why do this file needs +? Btw, if you could put those BGs to any tileset that could be better, but now I can’t say many things about it. I mean, some (or all) of the textures have got too many colours imo.
Edit: “Kinda techno” and “nice and white” are the same textures.

First thing i have noticed which is strange and bad is… well, can you tell me why warps at lvl30 doesn’t exist? Or maybe its just not working… But its a bug.
lvl34 pos=20,93. Tell me why this warp don’t have got warp target. This one “No Warp Target” makes the test impossibile to win.
35, again, warps doesn’t exist.
37, warp doesn’t exist and its easy to get stuck.
38, warp exist but… If you know anyone who can win a level where wind speed is set to something like a 40, tell me that. Maybe you have to do it with jazz, maybe that is possibile then, but morphs doesn’t exist.
39, some of the tiles are non-solid. Its confusing. Ah, and you can get epilepsy at this level. Thats annoying…
40, again, no morphs. I don’t think that its possibile with only Jazz.

Winners warp unlocked…! Really? Probably something is not working again, winners warp was closed and it still is. There is a level selection at winners warp, but it’s not good. I mean, you choose the level and you just have to win all levels from difficulty on which this level are since this level. I mean, you should put a warp unlocked by a trigger, which makes it possibile to go back to Winners Warp. And one more thing, its strange that you didn’t put “back” warp at level selection too…
Strange thing is that i just have to make all of the mazes with spaz, but at the beggining of the maze levels I see, that you putted Jazz, Spaz and Lori pictures. So why didn’t you put a morph in there? Ofc its not a bug, but its strange.

What can I say about eyecandy? Well, the thing which was the best was the moving background(which is just copied from my test, but that doesn’t matter. At mine test it was translucent, and ofc I can’t keep this background idea only for myself). Other things is just like in many other tests.

Test is easy. It became medium for me at… hard levels. Maybe if it would be a good test, with normal warps(which should exist), and not really good eyecandy it could be just one more normal test. But now it have got too many bugs. so i have to rate it 5.

Edit: Shelly, I have checked everything. Btw, I said that non-putting morphs at mazes are not bad think, but i just prefer to use spaz. But i checked everything, and everything which i said wasn’t working. btw, how is it possibile the background is looking EXCATLY the same as mine? But i said, i can’t keep this idea for background only for myself. Ah, and I was joking when i said that wind speed is 40.

Edit2:Ah, btw, just try to fix some of the bugs and i will give better rating. And I didn’t said that you are not a human, I just told you about bugs at level.

Edit3:Ok, so now review for a finished and checked level. I was playing it at your server, lvl 38 is still… hard, but its probably possibile. lvl 39 is fixed, still i can get epilepsy but that doesn’t matter. What about level 40? Still no morph. Im not sure is it possibile.

Well, anyway you fixed most of the bugs, and im sure that you will fix other bugs too. So i’ll give you 7. There is nothing special in this test, just a normal level.

Ok. level 40 is possibile.

This tileset is great, it uses 1000 tiles and that can be a small problem, because we can only use 23 animation tiles in the level. While I was working with it i was having a lot of fun.

Drawing style of this tileset is great, there’s a much ways to make good eyecandy. I don’t like that volcano for layer8, its something strange about it, I just don’t think that its good idea about background at layer 8. Other background tiles are ok. I like this pictures which I used at layer 7 at my level. Those clouds are awesome too. Waterfalls are great, everything in this tileset is great and can be useful. When you want you can of course use other tiles(As texture mode) for background than this big volcano, just like I have done. Dodges has made a rain tile too, if someone would like to use it. Animations quality is good. Those big waterfalls looks strange, but that’s not that bad. Small waterfall is better. Water blocks in this level are really good, Dodges has made a bubble animation for it. Of course some of things in levels with this tileset was impossibile to make it without using layer 5, but if Dodges would make this set with possibility to don’t use that layer, this tileset would have to work only at TSF, and that wouldn’t be so good. Masking in this tileset is good, i haven’t found any bugs in it. That’s a great tileset, and in my opinion its one of better sets for jj2. I haven’t found any bugs, everything is fine, except that volcano. So i rate it 9.5. Good Work Dodges!

(Btw, if someone would say that it’s strange that i made a review for tileset which i was making with Dodges, I will say it now, that i didn’t made that much for this set, I only made this example level and one tile which just helped Dodges to make a normal animation)

EDIT: Eh, one small thing, I have just found 2 bugs in my example level. Btw, ammo is not placed good at this level too, but it’s just an tileset example…

EDIT2:Good, you changed some things in tileset. Now I can surely change my rating to 10. Tileset is really better now, so imo rating 10 is just ideal for this tileset.

I like this level, imo it have got nice eyecandy, not bad gameplay, and this idea about sucker tubes is good. I haven’t got any problems with learning the layout, it’s symmetrical so its ok.

I like this level, it have got good eyecandy, nice gameplay and all of the pick ups is good placed. This idea, that the level looks like a big golem is great too.

Well, I decided to rate this because Skele asked me for that…

Gameplay
I don’t like playing at this level. Imo there are too many sucker tubes. In pos 131,16 there are some toasters, but i think that it would be better to put them somewhere in the level(the same is with gun8 ammo at pos 2,62). I don’t think that many people will run into there only to get toasters. Imo there are too much ammo. Flag placement is ok, you putted warps from the bases. Float ups are in places, where they are not needed. Sometimes you use one ways in stupid places, and you don’t place them when they can be really helpful and useful.

Eyecandy
I don’t like it. Layer 8 is fine, textured background etc, that’s hard to do sth bad in there. At layer 7 you putted “lightings”, I mean, I see that something is only shining for a while, but I don’t see the real lightings. Layer 6… Well, there are some towers here. Everything is ok, but at top of those towers some tiles are mirrored. Its looking bad. At the real level(I mean layer4) some tiles are mirrored too.
There are many bugs at eyecandy. For example, area 131,16(again). You used shadowed tiles here, but only here. Over those tiles i can see some pixels of background. Pos 0,7, I can see a strange hole here. There’s a lot of bugs like this. Layer2 is a rain, it’s ok, I can only say that I don’t like when rain is falling slowly when Im going up etc. but that’s not a big bug. Layer1 is a “mountains”(or w/e u want to call this) at the bottom of the level. Everything is ok with that.

Pickups
Pus which are easiest to get is seek pu and rf pu… That’s strange. Its harder to get toaster and bouce pu, shouldn’t that be that the hardest pu to get is rfs and seeks? As I said in gameplay, sometimes ammo placement is just stupid, sometimes in some places there are too many ammo. There’s only one place when I can find fastfires and its really close to red base.

Overall
First I was going to rate this 7.0, but i changed my mind. This level isn’t that good, but Skele, try to make more levels and maybe you will be better at this.

Edit: Changed my mind, I will rate it 7, but next time try to don’t make that many bugs at eyecandy.

Not bad tool, sometimes if i will need to find a tileset for a level with password or I will just want to see what music is used in that level this tool can help me. And ofc, thats really nice that i can copy some levels to other file. Gj anyway.

Imo its not bad. You should use “vanish” at texts. Eyecandy is good, but there are some bugs. For example, at bases where I can see Jazz or Spaz(at least Lori :P) legs, and if u will run to left at blue base(or to right at red base) and push wall Spaz blaster will be seeable too… 2 full carrots at medium-size CTF level are too much. Gameplay is not good.
Rating: 7,5. Not bad, but that could be better…

Big donut ate me.

EDIT: Good that u fixed this carrots and bases.

Imo its really nice level. Nice music, good places for warps etc. Gameplay is good. Tileset is not bad, but i think that levels where we can change tilesets are not that good. This one where is mostly blue colour is the best. Good level anyway :P
