Dodo is evil in reviewing.
This pack really really rules, I love the way Blade detailed the eyecandy, and the levels contains loads of secrets and coins to collect.
Download this.

This level pack is, in one word, HUGE. And it’s not only file size-wise. While I’m sure it must be torture for those with “52K” (Do you mean 56K?) modems, it was still bad downloading it even on cable. However, it was worth it.

The actual pack is all-around excellent. Gameplay is very good, with very good weapon placement, eyecandy, and good flow. But there were some tile glitches, but it didn’t really subtract from the overall package.

Download recommendation? Yes, if you can afford the time and space that it takes to download and install a multi-megabyte level pack.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

This is another fantastic level pack from Blade. I have few complaints. This is an amazing level pack in general. A few small details, like the tileset update one that BlurredD mentioned, can be annoying but don’t really detract from the overall value of this pack. Download recommendation.

Close enough, BlackRaptor. We all know what you meant.

As for this pack, all I can say is OMG WOW! I still don’t understand why Volume 2 is rated lower than Volume 1, ‘cuz this stuff ROXXORS! Keep making levels like these, Blade… you’re a betterment to the world, not to mention the JJ2 community! ;D

You really have to include the sets needed for the pack. Sure Agama’s are possibly the best custom sets out there but that doesn’t mean everyone has them installed. I had actually but I reinstalled Jazz recently. Having to search for the sets before I can start is HIGHLY annoying.
I downloaded Agama’s sets though and tried the pack anyway. To my suprise I got another missing tileset error in the third lvl…

Anyway, my impression from the first two levels is that they were very well-made but lacked direction and purpose. I think it would have been more interesting with some sort of story.

I can never make battle levels like these for some reason :(

Well anyways, the music files are some of my favourites. I like the layout, Drake is right, there is a bit to many weapons, I got stuck in one level :(
Download reccomendation.
(I hope I spelled it right) :)

Edit: I hope this will be the longest review i ever did, and if so, yea. In this review, i will be rating all ur battle tilesets combined. Icluding Space, Woodlands, Forest, Glacier, Desert, Rocks, Aztec, Wasteland, Beton, Beton night and Forest night. Here goes starting with Beton

The tileset is very spiffy, looks like its from the future. I think its the onkly one with actual sucker tubes, im not sure though (beton night doesnt count). In the levels, like in all, there was to much ammo, and it was way to big, so ppl might have download problems. The music suits the tileset, and even though all that, this is still one of my least favourite tilesets in this pack. Rating: 8.6 Beton night, a similar version to beton, except with a darker palette, is more of my favourite then beton, because i like night tilesets more. Everything to say about these levels is written above about Beton, so read that for more information. The desert tileset, lets see um…..It has to much of the same colours, but thats because its a desert. The backround would ov looked better in blue, but its yellow, like almost everything else. There is an inside and an outside part in this tileset. Also, there are rocks, cactuses and a few other things for decoration. Like Beton and Beton night, it has layer 6 and 7 backround eyecandy. The levels are fine and fun. The colour of green springs and your fur changesm which makes it more interesting. Still to big and to much ammo though. Rating: 9.1 Rocks Another one of my least favourite, mostly because the ground, which is composed of either 2 tile, single tile, or 4 tile rocks, which if u put together, light will be visible from the backround through the many visible cracks, and i dont like that. The music is ok, and there is 2 backrounds in this tileset, i like that idea. In the levels, there are the same mistakes over and over again, and i got stuck several times in one of the rocks levels. Rating: 8.8 Aztec This tileset, again has single tile, 2 tile or four tile blocks, without spaces on the edges though. It sometimes looks to “blocky” but it has layer 6 and 7 backround as well as level 5 bacround (i use it for layer 5 ;P). The Music ruxors, although i do not think its the best. The levels have the same problem. Rating:9.5 Glacier Probably my favourite, i luv ice tilesets, and you could make superb eyecandy with this. The music, i think, is the best, and well suited for the tileset. In the level, there is a shield, which isnt that good, but at least its hidden, so no marks off for that. Rating: 9.7 Woodlands This one was one of the “medium” tilesets, the music was ok, and the tileset looked ok, no really “Wide” ground, just a few thin sticks. This tileset, sadly has no layer 7 and 6 backround, marks off, and same comments about the levels, but they are a tad smaller this time. Rating: 9.0 Forest: One of the good ones, it looks oil painted, and has many many decorations like trees and bushes. It has a good backround and backround eyecandy, and the music is good. Rating: 9.6 Forest night: Same as forest, but night. No battle levels made for this tileset. Wasteland: Another ok one, but with no backround. Although, i did get an updated version of this from BlurredD’s pack. In the level, there are some fine secrets that spice it up more, but im unsure of what to rate it. Rating: Unsure Space: Second best probably, its a bit hard to use, but really cool. There are several good backrounds you could use, and tons of backround eyecandy. Tne music size was very big, but the music was good. The levels, although i feel it could of used more eyecandy, were good. Rating: 9.7

I think this might be the longest review on J20, so i am satisfied. The main problems in the levels were that they were to big and sometimes confusing, and to much ammo.

The main problem in the tilesets were occasionally, a few tiles were missing now and then.

The final thing i need to say to u all is happy long download ;D

Edit: Nope, it didnt even come close to being the longest ;P[This review has been edited by Blackraptor]

The battle levels ruxor, the only thing is there is a bit to much ammo. The tilesets look like they’ve been painted and the music is the best! Surely worth a download reccomedation, or you could just go to blade’s site and d/l blades battle pack SE, worth a download![This review has been edited by Blackraptor]

One of my favourite level packs. Congtats for your achievement!

Level 1: (Forgot name)
Probably the shortest level, it starts out VERY good with those translucent clouds and the start pos is good. The eyecandy ruxors and the placement, a bit overused, but still very good. Nice enemy choice btw.
Level 2: Promised Land
This level was a lot longer, and better. The eyecandy was some ofthe best tyou can make with this tileset. Nice tile placement, ive yet to see a bug. There are some cool effects and nice placement, interesting enemy choice. Loved the music used here and in the previous level.
Level 3: Wasteland Blues
The eyecandy was amazing here, so where the secrets and placement. Cool enemy choice and good tile placement. Level has a good flow and cool music (once again). Its long and is very cool
Level 4: Rainy Forest
Music here wasnt exactly the best in the pack, but fitted ok. Level was VERY long and so much eyecandy, im amazed how one could make such a long and eyecandied level. The gameplay and enemies good, as well as the secrets. The tileset use was near perfect, and this was very good.
Level 5: I think it was called Swamp jump
This level was also VERY long and took me a while to beat, but the save points and carrots kept it possible. The enemies were placed good, made the level more difficult, and the goodies a bit overused, i got 2 sugar rushes i think. The eyecandy was as good as it was in the previous level, near perfect.
Level 6: City of the past
Once again in baffled of how blade knows how to use such tilesets so well, the eyecandy, which was confusing at times, was also near perfect. The tile placement was the best it could be with such as hard to use tileset. The music wasnt very good though, but it fits. Good enemy choice and good placement, many secrets and stuff. Glad you used the night version, i like it better than the day version ;)[This review has been edited by Blackraptor]
