Great tileset man! The bones are great and the metal blocks also, there are cool things like a skull with glowing eyes, dripping blood, skeleton hands, etc. The only thing I don’t like are the mountains for the backgound layer, they are bladeish, but with less quality…:(

Aiko would/will say: Another tileset masterpiece from my homelands. ..

Well, it is true . This tileset absolutly rocks !!!
You made good animations (the light on the hurts and the red in the eyes).
You made all basic tiles (poles, suckertubes, vines aso.).
THe whole set is an original idea…
HM how to say.. It’s skulg – style :)

go on ….

P.S.: COol lvl + music, CelL .

A Skulg tileset! Better not let that influence my rating..

Anyway, this is a tileset. It uses a style that is Highly obviously copied from Blade.
It looks great, except for the Basic Blocks, which lack that special something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
It has most of the Tileset essentials, including two kinds of vines It’s also got some of those basic tiles you can use by just plopping all over the place, with the four blocks per tile.
Mountain ranges, textured background, arrows, girders, skeleton hands, bones, faces, animations.. I like it. But the Speed, Destruct and Stomp blocks need work. (Originality isn’t quite enough)

Hmmmmm… not a 7.7, but not an 8.2…

An 8 seems suitable :P. Lemme explain:

It’s not a 7.7 because it has a lot of good tiles in it (almost agama-like). And it’s not an 8.2 because the tiles may have been made slightly better, the bones aren’t masked perfectly, and the mountains in the BG look almost horrendeos. But it’s still a pretty good tileset. So download it and make some levels with it.

By the way, great music and example level.

Well well…Here`s another succesful tileset by the one, the only Skulg. I cinda like the tileset theme, although it sorta reminds me of the fact that i catch a cold very easely:). One letdown however, is that there are not very much eyecandy posibilities with this itleset. My advice for a 2nd version would bu stuff like a textured background and animated slime-bubles like the lava in the “tileset used in last 2 levels of oficial jazz2 episodes”. But apart from that, it could be allot worse:).[This review has been edited by >CelL<]

“Lava Lamp” is another very good tileset creation from Bielefeld, Germany. While the Etna is threatening some italian villages with real lava, this tileset is the attempt of simluating a lava lamp in Jazz2.

The set has 150 very colourful tiles (which isn’t really large, as i have to admit), and most of them use shades of red. It mainly consists of (very useful) blocky stuctrues and some additonal stuff like signs, arrows, vines, poles and mountains for the background. The mask seems to be well done, at least i didn’t find any serious bugs in the short time of testing.

Furthermore, Sklug included a very small example single player level. Which isn’t fun to play but shows some of the basic advantages of the tileset (well, it also has some nice layer work).

As you can probably imagine, i like this tileset a lot. And let me add: it’s definitely WORTH THE DOWNLOAD (read the reasons above).

P.S.:
I hope to see some nice levels using “Lava Lamp” in the near future.[This review has been edited by Aiko]

This is a very nice set, with an original concept. Who ever heard of a tileset of a lava lamp :) It has nice hot colors, like yellow, red and black, basic blocks, and lava lamps? Anyway, this is worth of downloading :)

Thankfully you don’t have to jump out of any windows. This tileset works fine, and has no problems at all. The theme of the tileset is new, and I love the background even though it is simple. Overall this gets a 6.7, which isn’t bad. Keep making tilesets!

(Sorry about the shortness of this review. I don’t have much time)

I really like this tileset. Everything is covered in green slime, and I like how the purple background is falling in the example level. There are those background slime things which are like upside down drips and a few other slimy things like the stalagmites (or is it stalagtites).

I think a few more eye-candy things would be good (one thing I think would be good is bubbling pots of slime, as well as some drips that you can animate).

It would have been nice to make this tileset for 1.23, because I want to use it for a level for 1.23, so that might be something to consider if you make a new version of it.

But overall this is great, and I also got a new music file to add to my jj2 collection.
