Mmmmmh I love this level… finally something original.
And Moonblaze really knows how to pull every piece of eyecandy out of tilesets!
Too bad that there is no alien-queen boss in JJ2. ;)
Will there be a continuation? :D
Hmm… can anybody give me a screenshot of the tileset (I don’t have TSF at the moment.. argh)? I’m curious about what it looks like :)
Hmm… I actually don’t see anything unfinished in this tileset.
It has everything of this JJ1 tileset and Labratkid even included H- and V-poles, vines and hook-stuff.
He put a lot of efford into this, for example the half-translucent glass stuff, the capturing of all animation frames and the very good masking.
The only thing that I don’t like so much is the custom textured background.
The tiles were taken from Dean’s example tileset (of the JCS help file). He inserted them twice. One in normal size (which doesn’t fit into an 8×8 tiled space, which is neccessary to make the bg textured) and a resized one, which looks all pixelated.
In my opinion, the original sky should have been included. That would make the convertion perfect!
All in all, this is a very good convertion and worth downloading![This review has been edited by Skulg]
This tileset rox0rz my box0rz.
Pure industrial cyber tech stuff.. and SO detailed! You can really see how much patience and love was put into this…
GAWD I dunno what to babble about first… go see yourself and DOWNLOAD IT!
Looove.[This review has been edited by Skulg]
OMG you bring the memories floating back!
Ahh.. I still remember the music… lalala (does anyone know where to get the music files? If yes, please message me.. lol :D)
But enough of me.
This is a nice conversion of Epic’s “Jill of the Jungle” which has.. everything!
It features all the worlds (Jungle, Lava and all that), Jill/enemy-animations, switches and muuuch more.
Extreme downlad recommendation especially for all nostalgic people who loved Jill! :D
Uhm labratkid… err.. nevermind.
This tileset overall is very simple and small.
It consists of green and purple blocks, destruction scenery, space background (stars, mountains), spikes, tubes and poles.
I agree with Blazey; the background would indeed look better if it was blue or some color related to it, but hey, I remember that I never saw any difference between the darkest colors of the JJ2 basic pallette when I made my first tileset because my screen was too dark…
I personally like the gray mountain stuff.. it’s beautiful! There could maybe another one in a darker color be added, for the eye-candy.
The sucker tubes consist of plain red stripes, which looks too flat for my taste. They could be shaded a bit.
The stars could also be a bit more spreaded.
All in all, this is an average block-styled space tileset (with beautiful background mountains) which needs a bit more eyecandy. Whee, I’ve finished.
Omg, Skulg wrote a review. gasp
I just love it. Love love loooooooooooove.
It’s amazing how you did the MCE (or SCE? I dunno…) stuff and.. stuff!

Mmmmmmmmmmmh. Me likes it. Even if it’s heaven. ;P
As Blazey already said, a bit small. Something is missing… but I dunno what..
Anyway, this has a nice atmosphere (I somehow have the strange feeling that I ALWAYS say this).

This is dark! :D
Ooh… the stars… they’re nice! howls at them
And the drizzling stuff there makes it look so… mystic! :P
And once again Skulg loves the atmosphere!
Good work, Blazey! n.n
Well (<— this is my new favourite word ;P), I also think that the bases are too close to each other, that makes it a bit… how shall I say… boring.
I also agree with BlurredD, you should place some powerups in secret areas.
But hey, it’s your first try! And I think for a first try this is pretty OK! :)
Edit: Blazey, you lazy bum! ;P
This level looks much better now. Some hidden PUs and the bases aren’t too close to each other any more.
Good work! :)[This review has been edited by Skulg]

It gives a nice atmosphere.
I like the eye and the blood running down the stones… yummy! }:D
Wow! Another one of CelL’s great levels, using my favourite tileset :)
This has a good gameplay and so wonderful eyecandy!
I have the feeling that I’m becoming a CTF-fan :D
