I also won’t rate this. The levels are OK, but the Alienator ones are well, Alienator ones. It’s OK, and worth a download, but nothing special.
I love Jazz 1…You helped me discover some secrets I never knew! Thanx

LOL. Blade, are you blind?! There’s a 50 coin warp on pos 64, 55. :-P
Ok, back to the review:
First of all, I want to say my congratulations and well-dones to Jelze for making his first CTF lvl. :-D Second of all, a shield. A shield. A SHIELD?! I think it’s a pretty daft idea to put a shield in a lvl. I’m sorry, but I’ll have to take away 0.2 points for that.
The eyecandy is really good though and it looks very nice. All 3 lvls has got almost everything the Labrat tileset has to offer. There could be some more foreground layer tiles but it doesn’t matter.
Weapons placement isn’t exactly a revolution, but it’s alright. There’s too little ammo around but they’re placed sensibly.
Laboratory Lost (I think it should be renamed Lost Laboratory ;P) has got really good gameplay. It’s very fun, fluent and can also create loads of interesting “situations” ;). The suckertubes are well placed and so is the coinwarp. There is a dead end on pos 3, 2 though but it’s only one and you can easily spot it.
Conclusion:
Lost Labo…er…Laboratory Lost is an excellent CTF lvl. Especially since it’s a first. It’s got good gameplay and eyecandy but could have better weapons placement and for God’s sake take that shield away!! ;-D
I’ll give Jelze an big, tasty 8 for his efforts on Lost Labo…argh…Laboratory Lost.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
Hey JelZe, be thankful that JazzSpaz even wrote the review. And it is impossible that everybody would love your level.
But now to the point of this review. JelZe’s first CTF level is good, but the difference between this level and the other CTF levels isn’t big. Laboratory Lost is a open level, and sometimes looks too pale. Otherwise the layout is good. Shields should be in a harder place to find, if you put them in your level. I think there was enough weapons and other stuff. The the coin-mistake is pretty funny. JelZe, be more careful :)
So this is JelZe’s first CTF level? Pretty good first level, gotta say. Keep on the good work.[This review has been edited by Blade][This review has been edited by Blade]
Hey ppl, don’t you like me or something? :( Plz rate this level, better than that first one, plz?
Yeah, there has to be somebody to be first!
This level looks good at the first sigh.
The eyecandy is pretty good.
But…
You forgot something!
You put coins in the level, but where is the bonus warp?
And next, maybe you do, but i do’nt like
shields in a level.
The ammo is maybe a little bit too much.
I’ll give it a 6.7
You have to do with it.
Yup, i don’t rate this.
What Fquist says (Wordy Thief!)
Tileset used: Beach? LoL
I won’t rate this.
I must say I didn’t like the Alienator tileset levels that much. They were.. small and the gameplay wasn’t superb.
The Nuclear CTF level with the tileset by Dethman was very good. The eyecandy rocked. The only things were the obstacles(the cans) standing next to the bases. This decreased the gameplay’s fluency. Also, the green spring before blue base makes it hard to reach the blue base because you get on another platform. Making it a red spring would have improved the gameplay.
Had you removed all the obstacles and weird passages the level would have been easier to navigate, which would have improved the CTF gameplay a lot.
Hey, the least thing you can do is review it! As long as you don’t rate it.
great levels just like in jazz jackrabbit 1.
tobad that jazz jacrabbit 2 doesenr have jazz jackrabbit 1 bosses.
(hint:make it as an original epsisode.)

Hey you! Create a episode2 ;)
Cool, but races i don`t like so much.
Great gameplay in this li’ll level. I dont realy like the tileset use that much, but the design makes up for it. I too think this is one heck of a fine level you made JelZe. Go get this. Now!
Heh, a well designed level, with good ammo placement and eyecandy. Good use of the Medivo tileset. Get this.
AMAZINGLY accurate (except for the things “Ceil” mentioned). Need i say more?
You people don’t understand…this was supposed to be a JJ2 REMAKE of the JJ1 Episodes. Not a copy. That is why he didn’t use the JJ1 tilesets.
Well some things were missing, like right at the beginning there was no one way on the tree so I couldn’t get up to get the bird. Also some secrets weren’t included.
But I really liked the secret level. It would have been more fun as a bird though (and then just have a morph back to jazz for the boss).
On the boss level, the underground weapons were missing. I also think that the boss chosen wasn’t the best one (too hard for the first episode). I would have used that octopus with the mines spinning around him.
Some things were just perceptions too…like how everything looked smaller. But I played it in fullscreen 320×200, and it seemed a bit more like JJ2.
The blocks were spaced properly, and it looked just like the JJ1 Diamondus, Tubelectric, and Medivo (other than the tileset). It is too bad they didn’t include those turrets in JJ2, though. I can see you put a lot of effort into this, and it definetely gets a d\l recommendation from me! :)
I wish I could give this a higher rating, I would have if you used JJ1 Tilesets.

This was a fairly good atempt to remake the origenal first Jazz Jackrabbit episode, turtle Terror, in JJ2. But, i still realy would`ve liked it if the JJ1 sets would`ve been used. Cuzz you see, the JJ1 editions of Diamondus, Tubelectric and Medivo, had some very nifty things that the JJ2 ones did`nt have. For example:
-The waterfalls in Diamondus
-The mountians in Diamondus
-The turrets in Tubelectric
-The glowing ground in Tubelectric
-The flowing lava in Medivo
And more:-P. But i must say, this is a pretty good “conversion”. Only, there where some things done incorectly. Like in one of the secrets in tubecectric, there where suposed to be about 6 invincebilitys, but there was only one. And also, the tiny turtles(or turtlets) where replaced by their mature cousins, who do hurt when you touch them, while the “turtlets” did`nt. How do i know these things? Well, i just played JJ1 on a old PC a few minutes ago;D. But, go download this, espacialy if you have`nt ever played JJ1. Its worth a try. Good job JelZe o`ll levelbuilder.
