What’s this? Some tiles with lots of sucker tubes some trigger scens and trigger zones, some warps and a blue gem! I can’t give a high rating because there’s no gameplay. People like to play levels not to stay and watch you know… That’s why there are TV’s…And why did you included the EEH credits tileset? It isn’t used.
Here is the level play.
You start on a platform and you butstomp some blocks, and you have to choose the way.
If you get the wrong way, either you get at the point where you started of you will be warped into a place either with lots of Bilsies you being morphed into a frog either in a place with Buba bosses where again you get morphed into a frog.If not, you will be in a lots of suck tubes collecting 1 blue gem and finish the level.
I’m sorry but unless you correct it i can’t give it a higher rating than 4.2
Awesome level pack! Great job iluz! :)
A pretty enjoyable pack, but needs lots of work.
It’s been a while so this is all from memory
Eyecandey:
Eyecandey is average. The opening is average. The base levels were ok. I do think a little more work could have gone into the base levels as they looked average. Try some more animations or foreground. The jungle levels were ok. Good background but a little to dark in some areas. Also the layout made it hard not to get hit. Also the background stuff confused me at some points because I thought they were solid ground. The dimondus level looked good. Nice theme. Space levels again look good. More work could have been put into the base. Like more foreground. The cutscenes were really cool and I like how you used top secrets jazz sprites. Also the carrotus levels looked good. one big complain is that to many official tilesets were used. Overall, good eyecandey. Little average with top secret, but overall, passable.
6/10
Story:
I’m not going the lie, the story was weird for me. Jazz gets dumped into a hole, into some weird base, and starts taking orders from a frog? Is there something I’m missing? Also the reasons are a little silly. Overall, I didn’t really like it as it didn’t make much sense.
4/10
Gameplay:
Now we get to the gameplay. Pretty good. The puzzles were pretty hard to figure out. However, most of the challenge comes from just find and living thought the (/)in things. In the jungle level, you have to find 3 crates while donging wave after wave of monkeys. All with one checkpoint. If you die, you have to find them all again. BULL! Anyhow, keep going good gameplay. The carrotus level was ok. again you need to find crates but it’s not as bad as the jungle level. Base levels are good but I found a little to much repetition, having to go over the levels again and again. The bosses were hard as some of the arena’s seemed to give the boss a huge advantage with dozen of enemies and little room. Some of them, like the carrotus level were way to hard. I liked all the secrets in the levels. the one where you play as the frog is pretty cool. Most of the levels were pretty long. But one big problem, you can get stuck in the wall as Spaz when you spawn. Not good. Overall, good game gameplay.
6/10
Enemy placement:
Good, but evil sometimes. The jungle level is hard becuase the enemies are put in hard-to-get locations. Then the next couple of levels are ok. The boss levels are hard becuase the enemies are overused to death. Then when you get into the base levels, the enemies are pretty easy. It goes, hard, medium the easy. Weird. But is was challenging. just wish a medium could have been kept all the way through.
7/10
Pickup placement:
Not this is a big hitter.
Savepoint: NOT ENOUGH. I found that most of the time I have the restart large portions of a level when I die. The jungle level is really bad becuase of this.
Ammo:
I think he just got lazy. you get to chose your own ammo at the base levels which is good. However, to save time, the author puts little to no ammo in the other levels. Just seems lazy.
Carrots:
Not enough. I was always down a lot of health. Add some more! Just not enough to live without lots of skill.
Other pickups:
Food is ok. The could be more. Can’t remember when I get a sugar rush. Gems are good to. Finding the little secrets with gems make exploring a little rewarding.
Total pickup:3/10
Final Score:26/50

D/R? This pack is good, but problems just make it so the experience isn’t as good. However, there is some innovation, so I’m giving a download Recommended.
You know, just the fact that this has gotten over 231 downloads and the fact my 7.7 single player pack only has 177 really makes me wounder.
Eyecandey
My…../-….GOD! THIS IS HORRIBLE! MY EYES! I“M GOING BLIND! NEED SHADES. This is NOT an exaggeration. My eyes are sore from looking at it! It uses flashy color blocks for the whole level! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! I WISH I COULD GIVE OUT NEGATIVES! IN FACT, I WILL!
-5/10
Gameplay
All you’re really doing is dodging a bunch of enemies while randomly morphing into frogs or birds. In you have the nerves to get to the end, you have to cross a pit and as n00b said, you get a sucker tube ending. I can’t tell you how boring it is. You’re probably just going to JJGOD everything to get away form the blinking lights!
1/10
Pickups
Nothing.
0/10
Enemies
Just bunches of random enemies. Nothing else. Oh and there is a pit with bunches of enemies.

DR? This is the first time I’ve ever given out a negative rating. I had a lot more fun with sad Beach like n00b said! Heck compared to this, sad beach sets the standard. I can’t give it a -3, so I’ll give it a 1 instead.
EYECANDY
Pretty good. The backgrounds look great. I didn’t come across any tile bugs. The effects used on some of the levels were very cool.
10/10
GAMEPLAY
The pack was a bit short I thought. The levels were not really that long or that difficult. I didn’t think there were enough secrets to be found. So the gameplay kinda let this pack down. The 2 Bubbas made it harder at the end.
6/10
ITEM PLACEMENT
There were 3 PUs in LV2 which I thought made it a bit too easy especially because I got the Blaster PU which is the best. There was an RF PU in LV3 which was placed well as I didn’t see it on the first play through. I didn’t think that there was enough food as I didn’t get a Sugar Rush. Placement is good but there’s not really enough items to find.
5/10
ENEMY & OBSTACLE PLACEMENT
Not really that many enemies in this pack. I saw about 20 enemies, that’s not really enough to kill me though. Placement is OK but there’s not enough.
Obstacles were a bit lax. There was some Trigger Scenery used in LV2 but there wasn’t anywhere else. There were some Spikeballs in LV2 also but it just wasn’t enough.
5/10

DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION?
The eyecandy was great but the pack was a bit short. I’ll give this a YES as I think it’s worth a look because of the cool effects. Anything that gets 6.5 or higher will now get a Yes from me.
MADNESS
OUCH! MY EYES!
EYECANDY
Nothing but flashing tiles in the background. Very bad if you are epileptic. DON’T play this for more than 1 MINUTE otherwise you’ll get a headache.
0/10
GAMEPLAY
Just go through some fast spinning spike balls. Turn into a Frog, then a Bird then Copter over a pit of enemies into a Sucker Tube to the end. This took me about 30 seconds to complete.
1/10
ENEMY & OBSTACLE PLACEMENT
There was some fast spinning spikeballs. There were loads of enemies. This level is really hard to finish without using JJINV or JJRUSH, which is what I resorted to when I was a Bird.
1/10
ITEM & BONUS PLACEMENT.
No items except a Bird Morph. No Bonus Area.
1/10
TOTAL = 3/40 (0.75)
But it will have to be a 1.0 since scores like that can’t be done anymore.
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION?
NO! Unless you want a headache and sore eyes.
VISUAL
Not very much. When playing this level, you will see very little eyecandy. Just a lot of the same tile used over and over again. Where there is some eyecandy, it is too simple and nothing is new. There is a clock tower floating in mid-air! This looks incredibly stupid and ugly. I’d alos like to see something done with the background layers. I know that there is no defult BG tiles, but why not be creative with backgrounds like Dx?
3/5
GAMEPLAY
This is much worse than the eyecandy. I found about 8 dead-ends, this is dead-end city. There should have been someway of getting out of these places other than simply jump about 10 times on platforms to get moving. This level is pretty much made up entirly random platforms, placed without any thought whatsoever. The ammo is placed randomly as well. There are way too many PU’s for such a small level, I found 4, and they are all extremely close to eachother, and they are all on the left side of the level.
2/5
GOOD POINTS
*Eyecandy isn’t terrible at least
BAD POINTS
*EC was bad in most places
*Bad Layout
*Random Ammo Placement
*Too many PU’s

BTW, this is much worse than Roof Fight 1. I have no idea why you think this is better.
What the hell? Is this a CTF level?!!
AMbient lightning…horrible(cant see bullets) not a problem though since the only picks ups are ice, and fastfire, aside from a little pepperspray!
looks alirhgt, but the eye candy is boring… the only reason I dont am not too bothred by the looks is the beauitful colour of the background
the design is that of a single player level… you can pretty much only move in one direction… it took me years to find the base
there are crowded tunnels
the red base area is alright, aside from the fact that you can hardly jump out from it, and you definately cant with lori… meaning you need to take the warp, which of course makes it a lot harder to defemd the base, which is ONCE again “ingeniously” up balanced by the lack of ammo. the spaz biasness is constant thoughout the lvl.
The blue base area is a little better.. it can be accessed from two directrions, but its still quite impossible to leave in any other direction than the left one.. an interesting twist is how this warp leads to the same place as the warp from the other base, though
oh wait, I even found 3 bouncer pickups
no carrots, but thats ok sicne u dont have ammo!
to sum up!!
this is the messiest review ever, and I conclude this is worthy of a… 4
If they’re tilesets, why is this listed under “Single Player”?
If the administration would be so kind to remove this message once it has been noted…
No, no, no, no, and NO!! This has got to be a joke! I knew I was about to get myself into something not dissimilar to an acid trip in combination with ecstasy, but unfortunately with an added dose of epileptic seizures.
Problems:
1) The paths have all been covered. In other words, you can’t get from one place to the next without physically moving to every inch of the level looking for a way out.
2) Not a single part of the actual tileset was used! All you see is a couple of enemies over the brain-melting animation of tiles that were meant for destructive scenery.
3) This level is a health hazard. I swear to you, it could trigger a seizure quicker than a Japanese strobe light in a robot band concert. Gahhhh!
That’s it. I’m done. Still wanna download it? Be my guest. Make sure you have a buyer first for your liquified remains.
I’m going to need a toothpick for this review… Alright, here goes.
Engh, it’s an alright level. And not “alright” as in “passably fine”, but “alright” as in “alriiiiiiiight”. Very nice things have been done to honour this home-cooked tileset, and I’m sure if it could talk, it would be proud. That having been said…
Problems:
1) The biggest downfall was that you can’t see where the heck you’re supposed to be going. With the entire joint full of extra tiles, there’s no way to tell if they’re sprites or just the eyecandy. You have to walk up to quite a few walls to see, causing you to very quickly lose the race.
2) There aren’t enough problems with this level for me to complain anymore. That makes me rather upset.
All kidding aside, download this level. It’s quite a fine piece not only to play, but also to look at, (—).
[Rating (8.7) clearance (no support was given for the rating) and rather heavy content edit. ~Cooba]
I thought the levels were great. You made some hard levels, but they were beatable if you knew how to beat them.
You did have one bug tho. In the level where u face 3 bubbas and daven’s robot, I attacked head on shooting the RF Gun. I have no clue what happined but when it was taking the screen to Daven Shell, it froze, wiped out the bosses, and I couldn’t move, nor see myself.
Also, the # of levels was too short, and the reason he got there was preety weak. But I liked the music, the levels themselfs, the enemys, and hope to see X3.
If your a fan I recommined download, but if your not then I wouldn’t bother with it too much. And because of that I will leave it N/A.
I shouldn’t call this X2
I think its a expansion pack on 1 earlier. Its just too short and with the old levels not a sequel. The levels are quit good though but they can use a little more eyecandy. Enemy placing is good. In your next episode, try to make some more variation in tilesets too too.
I give it a 6.5 but because some special effects I give it a 7.0
OK, heres a longer review and hopefully more detailed.
JAZZ X2 REVIEW:
EYECANDY: The Tilesets are great. They are used very well. You used most of the layers in the levels. 8/10
GAMEPLAY: It got a bit repetitive as I was on the Spaceship most of the time. It wasn’t too short or easy. 7/10
OBSTACLES/ENEMIES: I don’t think there were too many obstacles. There was some obstacles on the enemy spaceship which were hard. The 2 Bubbas on the Spaceship made the level too hard. Impossible to beat them without cheating. 7/10
MUSIC: The music was great. It went well with all the levels. 8/10
STORY: This was just a Flashback of what happened before JX1. N/A
TOTAL = 30/40 (7.5)
Conclusion: This was a great level pack although I did think JX1 was better because it was longer.
Can’t wait for JX3!!
RATING = 7.5
DR = Yes
Hope this review is better than the other one.
Hahaa, I have got justice.
Of course I have plans for Jazz X3, but I don’t tell ‘em because they are TOP SECRET.
Rating Ilu’z Jazz X2: Flash from the past
Plus:
Level 2 is new.
Minus:
The levels are short. The boss-area’s were too hard and in the fifth level Bubba jumps out of the game. There are also levels ripped from Jazz X1 and the episode has a bad ending.
Conclusion:
While your first episode was OK, this one is an international disaster. If there is a sequel from ‘Ilu’z Jazz X2: Flash from the past’ is I’ll change the rating. But as long there is no sequel, this episode is no download recommendation.
Final Rating: 2,0
Download recommendation: NO!
[Unsupported rating (2.0) removal. You really cannot go around giving levels low ratings because they were used in other packs too. You need to rate the quality of the levels, not wether they were published before. – FQuist]
Rating Jazz X: the Future incident
Good:
A good episode. With a good number of bonusses and secrets the bonus-placement is super. Also a good eyecandy. This episode is also very long: 22 levels!
Not good:
Bosses are only in the first levels, in the rest of the game are no bosses at all. The story is also not clear and some levels are very easy.
Conclusion:
Ilu’z Jazz X: the Future incident is a good episode. But there were some things that could be better.

overall it was awsome!
i rated it 9.7 instead of 10 beacause 10 means perfect.
