This is a semi-symmetrical, rather large CTF level by Cell. I hosted this for a short amount of time earlier today, and I found nothing too great about this level. It’s fairly balanced and looks good, but the pros of this level pretty much end there.
When I played this, I found a lot of things I didn’t like. The layout is pretty uninspired looking, as it isn’t too original. I found a lot of springs in areas that cause them to be a nuisance, as well as many unneeded obstacles. The level isn’t the easiest to move around in, making the playing experience rather unenjoyable. I also found a major gameplay flaw where jazz can literally glide from base to base with the flag, almost totally safe from enemy fire. Most of the players will probably be playing as spaz, and as such, they will probably be crossing the level at the bottom of it, completely unable to stop jazz from hovering above and scoring multiple points. I don’t have anything against making some features of the level better for either character, but this is a tad extreme.
As for general bugs in the level, I found one major problem, and a few smaller ones. The small bug in this level is that the mask around the edges of it isn’t quite thick enough to prevent the infamous bug that causes the flag holder’s name to repeat, among other things. To prevent this, make the mask around the level at least three tiles thick. The large bug I found was the warp at position 183, 86. It will bring the person warping to a nearby warp target near the bottom of the level. The problem here is that the player is able to move left or right, thus avoiding a sucker tube that is supposed to carry them upwards. The player will get stuck on the bottom of the level, and will be forced to rejoin.
This author is capable of much better levels than this one. I suggest that he finds people to test his levels, spends a good deal of time listening to their suggestions and complying with them. Omitting the testing procedure, or using poor testers (which cell has appeared to have done with this level) will show, and ultimately result in a low or disappointing score.
I give this level a 6.5 because it is playable, but lacking many things that would have made it a good level.
Two fortresses, with various passages and ammo. Two trees inbetween, with powerups. A large tunnel underneath. That is what this level is. It also has some tile bugs. I can’t think of much to say about this.
Only thing to say: WOW!
The first thing i thougt was WOW.
It’s a great level. I’ll advice to download this directly.
The eyecandy is OK.
The weapon placement is very good.
What could i say more?
It’s simply good!

You made waaaaay to much springs in it. I dont really think they fit in the castle tileset. Eyecandy is ok. Gameplay is below average, the lvl is really big and you really dont know were you gonna land ore what will happen the springs push you to everywere. There are a lot of secrets. I think its overall a eight.
Wow!
Cool!
Download this!
(Eyecandy: cool, cool tileset.
Gameplay: very good.
Other: only too many bonusses)
This level is nice and easy to navigate. The music is very beatiful and the eyecandy is perfect, expect that one bug that umbaman mentioned. There’s enough ammo, and it’s shattered well around the level.
This level is SO cool. It’s huge, which is good with lots of players. The tileset and music perfectly mix. It’s pretty spooky, too ;). But the gameplay could be a bit better. At least for me it was quite hard to navigate around, because the tileset uses pretty much only one color and the level is dark. It might be easier to play in evening, when the sunlight doesn’t reflect from the screen.
This level rules. ;)
HiYaZ CELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my Overall RATING for Parnagoniax beachline:
Weapons:
I think you did a good job of placing the weapons apart from each other, which is good. So, there is a large variety in the level. I also like the way you hidden some of the more “important” weapons. Also, the carrots were well placed in the level. There is not too many and not too little I like the level placement!
Tileset Use:
Well………….In this catigory you fell behind on. There are a few bugs in the level. (I know you have heard this a thousand times from other people) The plants do not go together correctly. Therefor, I’ll take away a -2. But other than that, I like the levels tileset use. I like how you placed water in the level and that you can go down through a tunnel.
Music:
I think the music sets the flow of the level and atmosphere. It goes with the level very well.
Background:
I like the background in this level. I think it suits the level just fine. I like that it is 3D…….and that the other placement stuff also are O.K. But, they could be just a little better though….=)
Overall Opinion:
Well……I like this level alot and it is pretty cool. I will recomend that everyone download this exciting, fun-filled, and action packed Beack level (Parnagoniax Beachline) EVERYONE DOWNLOAD THIS LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOW!!!!!!!
-Jman
P.S- I’ll give it a 7.7…………=)
Download this. Its one of tha Best Treasur lvls…..
Wow! Another one of CelL’s great levels, using my favourite tileset :)
This has a good gameplay and so wonderful eyecandy!
I have the feeling that I’m becoming a CTF-fan :D
CelL for president! ;)
First off al, you could use some more tiles in the level because there is enaugh of stuff in the Beach Tileset. What I all saw were a few of those plants and some eyecandy, layer 5 stuff such things. And ehm, eyecandy is fine maybe it should be a bit higher. Ammo placement is not so good. There is too much ammo and its everywhere. Gameplay is fine but like Spotty said the springs are strange placed. Oh well, I saw you making better levels then this. Anyway almost a eight :) Ow yeah by the way the music s*cks, its too happy _
But it fits the level ;)
YaY I am the first that rate This lvl. Yikes. Well lets start….
Good Eyecandy
Good Gameplay
Good tileset use
Well there was 1 Eyecandy bug but thats the tileset fault. Ah And btw. good Music choosen[This review has been edited by umbaman]

Where’s the glue? :P Anyway, let’s get started.
Eyecandy: Delightful. I have to say most of the eyecandy was pretty interesting. The backround was greatly detailed. The amount of eyecandy was also very good. Not too much, Jazz and Spaz can move around, and not too little. I found a few eyecandy mistakes, but nothing huge. The only huge bug I found was the large sucker tube. I kept getting stuck on it. I also think that it should go a bit faster. Going through that tube is a waste of time in my opinion.
Weapons/Placement: The amount of ammo was almost perfect. A bit sparse in a few places, but all in all pretty good. Good amount of powerups, too. The placement was also good, I don’t really have much to say about the placement exept that it is in good spots.
Gameplay: For such a large level, the gameplay wasn’t too bad. Easy enough to move around with Jazz, although some parts I had to do the uppercut to get up. Try to avoid that. Good spring placement, although I was a bit confused as to where some of them were. Try not to hide so many.
P.S You spelled Access wrong. :P Overall, “Inside the Glue Factory” is a fun and exciting level, especially with a lot of people because it’s so big. Good Job! I give it an 8.2
Another cool CelL level… We love u CelL :P
I liked the level really much only I think I found a bug… At the suckertube right up, go in the very right part, then you get stuck. :(
But overall good job!
Very cool levels. I love your eye-candy in them. All of them are fun.
The one issue is that two of them do not have single player start points, making them more difficult to test in SP, but the rest did which was cool. (But I won’t count it against you, just bringing it to your attention.)
