I don’t understand why you would upload the levels separately and than upload a pack. I just don’t get it. Average pack here, all though I don’t like it.

Danyjel, the JJ2 official version really sucks. Auto mask, bad color, about 25% of all the tiles. I took my own tiles from it, unlike the people who made masks for JJ1: Candion which were awful, and than uploaded it, saying it was their’s.

Test your skills at JJ2? Einstein could beat this, and Einstein has never played JJ2. You need supreme concentration, you need to be very smart, and need no JJ2 skills. I hate this kind of level, so no rating.

Good level pack, but it’s very easy, and very short. Download, yes.

There’s a 75 level episode, Rabbit Honor Guard, Cheater.

Eyecandy: Good
The eyecandy is rather good here, all though it could have been much better, especially in the background, since only layer 7 and 8 are used. Some trees back there would’ve looked nice. It’s also nice how you make your textured backgrounds fade to various colors. Lots of people make them fade to black and put on star wars. It looks ugly!!!! Not yours, though! :)
Pros: Good sprite layer eyecandy.
Cons: Hardly any background eyecandy, except for some mountains.
Gameplay: Very good
There are no gameplay flaws here, or at least I didn’t find any. I like the part with the H-POLE and the springs that lead off of it. Good job.
Pros: Good gameplay.
Cons: None.
Weapons: Okay / Good
There was something about the weapons placement that I just didn’t like. It was the TNT and the ice. I don’t believe in putting those weapons in your levels (they are eviler than Evil Mike). There are also no powerups :( You should put at least one powerup in a level of this size (very small). There are also no shields ;p
Pros: Good weapons placement, no shields.
Cons: TNT and ice, no powerups.
Okay, now, I just looked to my left and there was a can of Cherry Coke ® sitting there waiting for me. It said, “Drink me, Matt!!” So I drank it (actually, my mom put it there a while ago, with my pills). Back on topic, now! /me slaps Labratkid around a bit with a large trout. Anyway…….
Replay / Fun factor: Yes
This would be a great thing to host (if I could host :]) Hey, last night, I actually had I dream that I could host servers. Everyone came there. ;p
Size: Bad
This level is too small. It could be fun for a duel, though!
Overall: Good
JABP2.j2l
Eyecandy: Good
The eyecandy is good here. However, I think the background eyecandy looks strange. But there IS background eyecandy, and that’s what counts! Good background eyecandy usually includes 2 background layers (at least). 3, if the tileset allows it. For example, the Castle set would allow 3 background layers, no doubt. The Jungle set, or maybe the Inferno set, or the Swamps set (Agama’s famous tileset) would only allow 2 (layer 5 would have to help layer 4 cover up some stuff). The eyecandy in layer 4 is good, all though there could have been more.
Pros: Good sprite layer eyecandy, there is background eyecandy.
Cons: The background eyecandy looks odd, and the layer 4 eyecandy is just enough to get by.
Gameplay: Good
I must say, I like the gameplay here a lot. It is actually Jazz biased, believe it or not. When you go now the holes with the weapons, Jazz can use his helicopter ears to get them all. Spaz would have to hope for the best. The gameplay is unique… it depends on what kind of level you like. Some people who like the gameplay, some would love it, some would dislike it, others would hate it, and some would slap Snooz around a bit with a large trout for making gameplay like that.
Pros: Jazz biased (take that, Spaz, you burping, bird eating, alien murdering turtle kicking rabbit!!) Hey, what am I saying? I like Spaz!!!! >( Anyway…. heh.
Cons: Not too many, all though some people wouldn’t like this gameplay.
Weapons: Good
Again, there is TNT and ice. There is also a powerup. No shields here!
Pros: Good placement. There is a powerup.
Cons: TNT and ice… urgh.
Replay / Fun Factor: Yes
This would be fun to play again, if I could host.
Size: Bad
Too small!
JABP3.j2l
Snooz was kidnapped by aliens who read his mind to get his J2O password, and they made a bad level and uploaded it!
Eyecandy: Bad / Okay
The eyecandy is very bad, even in the sprite layer. There is no background eyecandy, and it’s just ugly.
Pros: I’ve seen worse… it’s bearable.
Cons: Too many to list.
Gameplay: Okay
The gameplay is acceptable, but still pretty cr*ppy. It has MEGA Spaz biasing.
Pros: Not really too many…. acceptable.
Cons: Mega Spaz biasing, and too bad.
Weapons: Okay
The weapons are also badly placed. There is ice, and no TNT, and there is a powerup, which are the main pros and cons. There are no shields.
Pros: No shields. No TNT.
Cons: Ice… other bad stuff.
Replay / Fun factor: No
I’d never play this again, sorry.
Size: Very bad
Waaay too small.
MGMBATTLE1.j2l
Eyecandy: Very good
I liked the eyecandy here a lot. There are little to no flaws, too. It puts the level in a very nice mood.
Pros: Great eyecandy.
Cons: None, really.
Gameplay: Good
The gameplay was rather nice here, and it flowed nicely. There are some badly placed springs, where you COULD jump. For example, a badly placed spring is in the pipes underground. It should be moved one tile to the left so you can get out easier.
Pros: Good gameplay, nice flow.
Cons: Badly placed springs, could have been better (somehow ;p)
Weapons placement: Good
The weapons placement here is good, again, all though it has that darned TNT and ice! Very useless, if you ask me. I like the placement of the weapons, otherwise, though. There are also no shields.
Pros: No shields, good weapons placement.
Cons: TNT and ice, not THAT good.
Replay / Fun factor: Yes
If I could host, I would host this.

(to be continued)

I’m too lazy to continue, so I’ll add a rating.

I’m not a fan of levels that are small, have boring eyecandy, and have lots of trigger scenery, nor ones that are big, have good eyecandy, and are full of trigger scenery. I’m not a trigger scenery liking guy, so these temple levels aren’t my type.

Apart from the fact that I am all most convinced this level was made in about 10 minutes, it’s not all THAT bad. Still, I’d be surprised if anyone ever thought about hosting this.

Eyecandy: Very bad / Bad
The eyecandy was awful here. All the tiles went together, but that doesn’t mean anything. There was no background eyecandy or anything, and it was just very dull and boring to look at.
Pros: The sprite layer eyecandy is okay (closer to bad than good, though.)
Cons: No background eyecandy, boring eyecandy where there IS eyecandy.
Gameplay: Bad
The gameplay is just boring here.
Pros: None
Cons: Boring, just awful.

This level was too small. WAY too small. If it takes you more than 30 seconds to do one lap… eek.

I really can’t give you more than this, and I’m afraid this might still be too high. Make longer levels, okay? Put background eyecandy in. Don’t rush them!! I’ve been working on my race level pack for about 2 or 3 months, maybe 4, and I’m on level 7. I’m making 26 levels, by the way. If your race pack is all most done, it probably won’t be so good.

Small and boring level…

Eyecandy: Okay
Pros: Good sprite layer eyecandy.
Cons: Boring background eyecandy.
Gameplay: Okay
Pros: None
Cons: None
Weapon placement: Bad
Pros: Bearable (sp).
Cons: There is too much ammo in small places, specifically the large mass of about 20 toaster bullets (60 ammo in all).

There are several things that affect my rating before playing levels.
1.) Is the level made with a 1.24 and uses a 1.23 tileset with no new 1.24 JCS features?
2.) Is the level passworded?
3.) Is the level hidden in the homecooked list?

All 3 of these pertain to this level, so I’m taking off .1 points, not too much. Final: 5.6, rounded up to 5.7.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

I don’t normally run into LASERers, so this is usesless to me, except for the seeker holes =)

I forgot about the Windows XP thing, heh, I can’t use it anyway!

Krsplat, you spelled “Ak-gnoh-lej-id” hehe.

And, Windows XP computers are not respectable. In the world of computers, the XP ones would probably be the unlucky nerds who are poked fun of by all the 1337 Windows 98 computers with MS-DOS.[This review has been edited by labratkid][This review has been edited by labratkid][This review has been edited by labratkid]

I tend to rate beach levels lower because I just don’t like ‘em. Anyway, this level is very, very long, hard, and fun. The eyecandy in the background in minimal, though. Download reccomendation.

Oh, there was a background problem, BTW. But if I squinted, I could barely see it, so it’s okay that you couldn’t.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Okay, for some reason, instead of “background problem” I said “backgroung.” WTH.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Yes, it is very hard. It took me several tries, too. It’s very small, and the eyecandy is bad, but it’s pretty fun, and better than your others. I guess I’ll give this a download reccomendation, but only if you’re bored. I don’t think this is an 8.5, though.

Oh, I forgot, to learn how to make it so you go in a warp and get 50 of a weapon and a powerup for it, and than come out, I looked at Blackraptor’s CTF level in JCS. I used that concept (or whatever ;p) in my example level, and you should to for how I used it.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Radium, you are allowed to rate conversions. ;) Yes, that is a draw back…. as a matter of fact, I think Alien Carnage was the pioneer of putting walls and ceilings in a foreground layer and the sprite layer to make it look realistic. In other words, if BlurredD made a level with this, it would be a lot like the original game. ;p[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Jade: The latest version of DOSBox can run the game. It’s kind of buggy, but it can run the game. Do a Google search for Dosbox and download it.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
