Snooz, I adore your levels, I really do, but… they are just WAY too easy.

Your single player levels that is =)

I reccomend making lots of single player levels, because I don’t like your battle and CTF levels.

I only wish that this used the Carrotus tileset so it could be 1.23 and everyone could see it.

Another nice small level. All I can say is that it is small, the gameplay is okay, and the speeds on the background layers should all most NEVER be over 1.0. That makes them move faster than the sprite layer, creating an impossible motion, just like there are those impossible pictures of impossible buildings.

Pretty nice, but very buggy. I just made a 1.23 version of this with all the tiles; you should check it out. It lacks animation. Get animation. -.5 for no animation.

This is a bit above average, and fairly small, too.

Pros
Good eyecandy
Unique ammo placement
Good gameplay

Cons
I get stuck a lot in the one way events with the springs.
Very small.
Not my style…

Download reccomendation.

All hail Waz (one of) the best 1.24 level makers!

My reccomendations…
Make bigger levels.
Use other tilesets besides your castle one.
Use other songs besides the haunted house song.
Be careful with the X-SPEEDS of the background layers, because sometimes their movement looks a little funny, all most like they are moving.

Very nice program here. It’s like JazzTool, except you are not able to lag people with it purposely, and you don’t get to know who is in the server. Also, it doesn’t crash constantly. I would give this 9.7 if there was a function letting you refresh the server list every, let’s say, 5 seconds.
Download, everyone, or else >)

Sort of, Spazzyman. I’ll give an example.

Okay, there is one server up, and it is “n00b central.” I do NOT want to join there. I want to wait for somebody else to host. However, I don’t know WHO it will be, so I want it to keep searching until it finds some other than “n00b central.” I only want the alert unless there is something other than “n00b central.”

I don’t feel like writing a big review, but I’ll just say that this level pack is a bit above average.

The eyecandy sucks…
The weapons placement and enemy placement is good…
The music choice seriously sucks (more than the eyecandy.)

Download rec. if you like all single player levels.

Well, now, this tileset is very different. It’s kind of comical, too, how you can use McScrooge to control the robot. I never did like Scrooge’s storybooks when I was little… I think he scared me ;)

This is a paint tileset, which means we’re not going to see something Disguise put up here. However, I can’t blame people for having to make paint sets because they may not be able to afford better things (and stuff).

Anyway, this tileset looks pretty much unusable until you run the example level, which is than that you see how it can be used…. not easilly, but it can be used. There isn’t much variety, though.

No download reccomendation here, sorry.

Yay! You finally released this. I helped beta test quite a bit.

Eyecandy: Very good
The eyecandy here is about as good as you can get with the tileset… best I’ve ever seen with it. Very original, with all the pipes and glass. Perfect score for eyecandy.

Weapons placement: Good / Very good
Weapons placement is somewhere in between there. Unlike in most levels, the weapons are not placed in little clumps of (usually) 8, in the form of a rectangle. They are scattered around small areas of the level in a “checker” pattern… For example…

x__x__x__x
__x__x__x__x
The _’s are places without weapons, because when I tried using spaces, it didn’t work ;)

So, the weapons placement is good, and very original. I think the level is a bit too small to have so many powerups added in, especially the RF powerup.

Gameplay: Good / Very good
The gameplay is very smooth and good, especially for duels, and 2vs2’s. Any more than 6 players, however, would get too cramped and would cause chaos. I am also surprisingly good here. :)

Fun factor: Good / Very good
Like I said, very fun for duels and 2vs2’s. I hope this is hosted as much as CelL’s other level… ugh, what was it… it used one of Disguise’s tilesets; I think it was something about symatry, or isymetry… Hmmm… anyway, I hope this will be hosted a lot.

Music: N/A
I personally don’t like this song too much, but it’s very fitting. I don’t want this to hurt your rating, so I’ll leave it as N/A. I would’ve said: Okay / Good.

Bugs / flaws: Very good
I haven’t found any bugs, yet.

Biasing: Good / Very good
There isn’t very much biasing here. When I was beta testing, most of the people playing were using Jazz, and were getting around well. However, there are some platforms that Jazz might have to use a little extra effort to get up onto.

Overall: Very good
This reminds me of EvilMike’s famous Distopia… very small, very good, and probably will be hosted a lot.

8.7

I wouldn’t say 9.2, but this level is pretty nice. The eyecandy is bad. There weren’t many tiles used. For example, the grass tiles… you used one grass tile over and over again for every platform. There are probably more than 10 grass tiles in the set that you could use. Also, there is no textured background, and the leaves look very funny. There is no background eyecandy, either. It’s very, very easy, and it’s medium sized… not too small. It was fun; it took about 5 minutes. I reccomend this, but I don’t think it’s a 9.2.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Well, now. This isn’t as good as Mirrow’s Kingdom, but it’s a nice tileset… it’s about time Mirrow makes another tileset, too. I love his sets ;)

There is only one animating tile, a nice fire sprite. Mirrow was never big on animation.

The colors are quite nice, too.

The background is good looking, nice and green! Hehe. It can be made a textured background, which looks down right AWESOME.

The famous Mirrow woman is here, too.

The trees have a nice, 3D and shiny look to them. I don’t really think the trees look nice, but it’s original, and nice in it’s own nice kind of way.

There is a picture of Disguise in here, too, but it’s kind of low quality, but Mirrow couldn’t help that.

The best thing of all about this set is that there are no ripped tiles. Mirrow doesn’t like ripping tiles. Pat yourself on the back, Mirrow. Ripped tiles get annoying. ;)

Another great thing is the size. Most of Mirrow’s sets are inky-dinky, but this is a decent sized set. It also has a strange resemblance to Raging Inferno, one of Disguise’s tilesets. Why I say this, I’m not sure, but… it just does ;)

The mask is more or less “evil.” No, not as evil as the Medivo and Colonius masks, but it’s evil. You can easilly get stuck in some jagged edges… go to the left wall in the example level and try “jumping” into the little places in the wall where they go in… you’ll get stuck.

This is an overall nice download, especially if you are a Mirrow-fan.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

Eh, it’s a bit above average. 30 colors isn’t much, but it is good for 30 colors, definetely.

Pros…
Shows effort – plenty of tiles.
Easy to build with.

Cons…
Barely any animations.
Not much detail in terms of color shades.

Good for a paint tileset.
Download if you were a fan of Snooz’s newest set.

Hmmm. I don’t really know how to rate this. It just adds in some gun shot sounds. They are not in any particular order, they aren’t on beat or anything. This might be good to use in levels, but I wouldn’t use it. This should be very effective when used with Toxic Bunny’s famous WarTorn tileset.

And whoooooooa! All of a sudden, there are way too many gun shots. Ouch.

As I played through this, I thought, “Not bad.” Well, as I finished, my rating went from a 7.0 to a 6.0, because it’s very short. The eyecandy is decent, but needs to be made better, and the enemy placement is perfect, making a good challenge, and there is food and weapons. But, it’s short. Short, short, short. And JJ2 crashes afterwards.
