The level isn’t particularly bad in any aspect, but it doesn’t have any outstanding factors, either. My biggest gripe is the lighting; making the level get dark just as I’m about to cross a pit is simply unfair. As you’ve said yourself, this level feels rushed and unpolished. This is still an okay level, but just isn’t designed very well. C
This is a cool level. While it may have a somewhat dated design and appearance, it has a certain charm which is not present in levels today. The layout offers quite a fair amount of freedom, and is easy to navigate. There are some campy areas, but not in a way that it’s really a massive problem and in fact safe areas are a nice feature in CTF. B+
believe it or not, this actually inspired me. E-
These levels suffer from typical newbie JCSer issues – they have messy tile usage and random, incoherent layouts. Giving these a 9.5 rating is beyond absurd. E-
EDIT: The added textured background really helped improved the overall quality of the set, so I’ll raise the rating to a 7 and a download recommendation. C+
Despite being incredibly simple, the fun factor is incredibly high in this level, which makes it worth playing alone. It captures the adrenaline pumping feel of the original UT map, and is a fairly well designed level. The routes are limited though, and unless you’re Jazz it’s hard to avoid damage while crossing the bridge between the bases.
Aside from Space Warbase, all of the tilesets are lacking in usability. The graphics are for the most part, top notch, but these sets do lack in practical use. Still, good choices for a JCSer looking for a challenge. B+
stop spamming j2o ffs
The level is incredibly small, and dark – it’s like if the level is situated in an empty void of nothingness. The level feels really lonely, yet not in an awesome way like in BR’s Pride, it just feels as if the level lacks..content. There is simply nothing worth your time in this level.
oh and the name totally wasn’t stolen from someone else
While EA may not be as creative as packs such as Devres and TR, it is one of the most complete packs in existence. Each level is highly polished in a way that makes them feel very professional. The difficulty is perfectly balanced – it never gets frustrating, yet isn’t a pushover at all. There’s very few stuff as enjoyable as this, download now.
While the level design is fairly solid (for 2000 at least), the main issue here is that the levels are simply way too easy, mainly due to the high amount of food in the levels, especially in the later ones where you get a Sugar Rush roughly every 2 minutes. I rarely took any damage, even on hard. This is still a nice way to kill time though.
The level was enjoyable for the most part – it’s large, with enjoyable, action packed gameplay and a plethora of goodies to collect. It also makes decent usage of the Haunted House set. However, this level is most certainly not worth a 9.5. It’s not bad at all, but I wouldn’t go as far as calling it “amazing”, although I still recommend this.
well.
vanilla shores.
it has guds.

Looks like a decent battle level to play a simple duel in for something like ODT, but is by no means even worth anything close to a 10.
Not bad at all. A decent level of challenge that never gets frustratingly hard or too easy – the gameplay remains stable all the way through, except in the very later levels maybe. The eyecandy effects are also very nice, the background in particular is dreamy and wonderful. I felt the music choice could’ve been more fitting though.
could be much worse, but typical of a first level – bland and featureless
The theme and overall look of the tileset is great, although some tiles I felt could have used a little more versatility in their usage (like the background). Nonetheless, I’m very satisfied with the end result of this tileset and I am planning to (eventually) release a level with it. :P
EDIT: The temple stuff needs to be much more versatile.
The levels in this pack are all well designed, Arctic Citadel being my favourite level of the pack. I can see these levels becoming very popular choices for JDC events. Overall, a very solid pack, however what keeps me from giving it as high ratings as the others is because I’d expect more of a “wow” factor; this pack feels a little dry.
A decent level, that is rather large and spacious. It may be a bit hard to learn, but at least being symmectrical means you only really need to learn half of the level. Flow was a little off in places. The attention to detail is good, although I didn’t like some of the layer 3 eyecandy, and the pipes placed in layer 5.
Overall a good effort.
Definately the greatest pack in NA series. Both the eyecandy and gameplay have been improved dramatically since snz’ previous packs. Some have very interesting visual designs with the chosen tilesets; King of the Clouds, Hornet Hive, The Curse in particular. The levels were also very fun to play, and that is what really counts. A well deserved 9!
