I do not play multiplayer so I cannot rate the gameplay itself, but the level showcase, tileset conversion and the music is nice.
very nice & funny
Pretty good! Played 3 times over :)
I joined troggy’s server while I was bored and the first map hosted was “Ceiling Force”. It was extremely fun, but I tended to get stuck while blown against a destructible tile. That situation became a camp while I waited for the others to lose :P Still Ceiling Force is definitely the best in this pack. Not much I can tell. I couldn’t play Red Rover though. Home Cooked Levels doesn’t work and trying to do /gamemode coop screws it up for some reason.
7.5 for Ceiling Force alone. Download it!
You have to try this. At least the first level.
It took me a while to review this, but here I am :D
Before writing anything else, i’d like to say that my personal favourite by far from this pack is Salvation (ill review that as the last level), simply because it has a unique style + some clever ideas. Anyways, lets start:
XX
This level seems to have literally an X design.. normally X designs are very good and work very well in jj2, but this is just way too linear for me. and the gameplay feels like the level was made for an experiment, rather then serious games. personally, even though i disliked the levels gameplay when i played a public game in it, i would like to see how it plays in duel/laddergame.
About EC, i didnt see any tilebugs, but then again, the level doesnt contain any other stuff but the red tiles where you walk, and some other brown tiles. While it looks quite ok, and altough you used lots of different symbols in the red bricks, its really bland, and gets quite boring to look at.
There’s 4 pu’s, which might be bit too much for such a small level. Then again, they can be only gotten with bouncer/EB/tnt so i suppose thats not that big problem..
Persistence of Vision
This level has an interesting name. Too bad the rest of the level isnt that interesting. Layout is okay, but it has some really weird stuff, like dead ends and such. Getting around the level is easy, which is a definite plus. There’s an issue at the up, middle, where Full NRG and rf pu are placed together. It just feels like a very bad idea to me. Also, the EC could be much better, since its very bland. somekind of background fade color would have been nice too, instead of black. Placement is fine, except for the full nrg and rf pu together as i earlier mentioned..
Salvation:
This is by far my favourite from this pack, it has a very unique look (the swiss cheese background especially looks very good) and the ec is much better then in the previous levels. The level is quite platformy, but it still feels very consistent, and has by far the best layout here. There is also a system where you can collect coins (10, to be exact) which in turn save you from falling into a pit. thought it was awesome idea how to deal with something what most players find annoying in a mp level. There’s 3 powerups here, freezer, rf, and bouncer. I felt that rf should have placed in the place of the freezer, simply because in my opinion its more usable in this level then any of the other pu’s, considering the level has quite linear areas where its a very good weapon. Also, from the pu platforms, its hard to jump into the base if you play as jazz.. those are my only complaints about this level.
This is quite nice pack, altough Salvation in my opinion is the only reason to download it. Its also nice that you have your very own unique jcsing style. looking forward to play and see more of your levels in the future. :D

Ok, now time for true one review.
Gameplay:
The idea is very good!
But one thing what i must say, this is these levels
is symmetrycal, and it makes me make rating lower…
But this symmetrycal system have Pros…
First and second teams have 50% on 50% chances
to win… :D
(8.5)
Ammo:
Hmm…What about ammo…
Ammo placement is not bad, but, amount of them…
Hmm…Okay, 8.4!
(8.4)
Music:
Nice choice, but musics not changes rating…
(N/A)
Tilesets:
What about tilesets, Vision and XX have
good choice…I like it…Really, but what about
BattleshipsBL.j2t, ya, i think 8.7!
(8.7)
Background:
Huh…Not bad but anyway, there’s
not much eyecandy (Vision and Salvation)…
But XX have good eyecandy
and i will increase rating… :)
(7.5)
Ok, Now what rating you will get
7.7 RATING
WITH DR…
Congratulations! xD
If you dont like this review, report me
or set against it, and i will delete it! :P

An interesting concept, however it isn’t executed too well here, and most of the layout is barely ever used, except for getting power ups, so most of the time all of the players will be centered around the base areas, while the rest of the level has little or no players, which could potentially lead to some hectic, if not chaotic, gameplay.
I’m going to rate this level, as nobody else has, and it kinda sucks to make a level and have nobody rate it.
Pros:
An underused, and quite good tileset
Good design/flow
Good eyecandy
Brownie points for using a tileset that’s hard to use
A fair map, despite not being symmetrical between bases
Cons
Kinda average in most respects
A bunch of poorly made, slapped together tilesets with little to no usability (Right Red Turn On is a just bunch of coloured lines!), gaping flaws that show lack of testing (the textured background in Green doesn’t work), and bad design choices (why couldn’t you take the whole Carrotus and make it that palette instead of removing the background?)
Now this is cool. Not very good levels or eyecandey, but the originality is through the roof! Download recondmended
? This is an, errm, okay level. Trog’s Deck the Halls level has some…interesting eyecandy, although the set is really just a ripoff of the Xmas and Castle tilesets. Style was allright, but the level was not the best i’ve ever seen.
Repairs/improvements? Maybe a different tileset. I know, the level is based around this one, but the red+green christmas poles? In a castle set?
So, music and buggage were okay, versions were allright, I will give you a neutral dl rec, and a semi-okay rating. But a different tileset would really make your level rock it off!
Good try. :)
The plot is… well, cheesy in places, but very origional. It was enough to keep me playing til the end.
Sticking to origionality though brings with it shortfalls. There is only one enemy type, and absolutly no pickups, which the author explains that stuff that jazz could use would be nonexistant in the internet. This is acceptible in a sence, as it does increase the difficulty, but at the same time, saying carrots were “Restoring programs” would have been as simple as passing sparks off as “Antivirus programs”
The main tileset used was simplistic, flat, yet perfect for the world that Troglobite is creating. The eyecandy is simple, but the whole area is covered in animations, which makes up for it.
The area where it does fall short, is in the music. only 2 music files are used, and one was used for all but one level. By the time you are finished the final level, you are pretty sick of the same music file.
Overall, It needs tweaking, but that does not stop it from being a good play. I would recommend it.
This man thinks outside the box.
This is a great pack. Like EM said, it had plenty of things I have never seen before, like the new boss, the internet play [to clear this up, you aren’t actually on the Internet, just in the story.] Small assortment of baddies, even smaller amounts of goodies, and many annoying tile enemies make this pack average in likeability. The boss is extremely creative.
The whole concept is good. To sum up, I will give a 4.8, but a dl rec, because EM is right: Bad level, extremely good concept+attempt.
There is a lot of creativity in this level pack. A lot of ideas are featured here which I have never seen before, and the whole concept itself is something new.
I was impressed with the use of events in this episode, particularly to do with the custom boss, and also the puzzle level at the end. The author here shows a sophisticated understanding of JCS, and despite its flaws, this episode is a definite indicator that the person who created it has real talent.
However, the episode is far from perfect. Overall, the levels felt rushed and in some cases unfinished. The lack of pickups of any sort is particularly obvious: there isn’t even any ammo. Enemies are minimal, but that’s not as big of a problem since the levels still pose a challenge.
The tileset that most of the levels use is creative, but ugly. I liked the idea of a level made entirely of computer code or whatever, but the scenery is far too repetitive after the first level. I would have liked to see more variation.
Story-wise, the episode is interesting, but ends in a strange way, with no real resolution to the plot. I thought this was a bit too abrupt.
I’m giving this a download recommendation because of the creativity featured here, but a score of 4 because I honestly feel that a better attempt could have been made with the episode.
I look forward to seeing what you release in the future, but I suggest that you send it out to people for testing and feedback before uploading, and focus on making the levels more dynamic.
Cool :D Thank you

Starting Comments
I’ve played this several times now, once during betatesting, once before the last update and once afterwards. Let’s see how this pack fares in it’s totality.
Gameplay: Average
The pack starts in a somewhat confusing area. You are presented with the ending of your average Epic episodes, Devan is defeated and you’re about to see an ending movie… or are you?
The plot thickens (!) when Troglobite himself enters the game as an omnious voice and tells you that you need to get to the internet to stop a hacker or else we’re doomed for ever. After ‘installing a patch’, you can shoot the Windows program running Jazz2 and escape towards the internet.
The game will mostly take place on the internet from now. The areas are kind of bland at the beginning, but get better later on. You run on lines of code, which can have all sorts of meaning, like damaging codes that hurt you or codes that get deleted when you touch it. There are also antiviri (yes that is the plural of antivirus) in the form of Sparks enemies, that will try and ‘delete’ you.
The levels can get quite repetitive from time to time, for instance in cases where you have a certain agile obstacle placed five times after one another. This doesn’t really add to the fun, really. In fact, when you find a certain obstacle hard, it gets pretty frustrating if you’ve got to do it several times.
Then there is the lack of goodies. If I recall right, I found only few carrots and one 1up throughout the entire pack. No ammo, no food, no shields, no fastfires or anything. This makes the pack pretty hard from time to time, but luckily there are also few enemies to cope with, so it’s not that bad.
Of course this pack isn’t all let-downs. On the contrary, one of the best points of the game is yet to come. When you find the heart of the virus, you’ve got to eliminate it. This is done in a standard JJ2 boss fashion, including a health-bar and epic music. The boss is a series of moving walls that can hurt you. If you manage to get past, you’ve got to shoot through a hole in the wall, which takes a lot of precision to pull off at first, but gets even tougher later on, when you’ve got to uppercut or double jump past moving walls and need almost perfect timing to shoot the hole.
Once you complete your AVG-job, you realise you’re still in the virus and in for a lot of trouble. Levels from here will be confusing and a tad scary (will not spoil it for you, play yourself). You will also be presented with cunning puzzles and odd enemies (well, not odd to the average Jazzer, but hey, MCE’s are fun). Then, you escape the virus and presto! You’ve unlocked the next episode. (In my case, that is. I don’t play regular episodes… :P )
Atmosphere: Nice
First of all, nice job on creating those tilesets yourself. However easy they may be, they do the job, and that’s what counts. The levels look moderately good, with the exception of the internet levels, which looks very good. Call it a matter of taste, but I like them. A lot.
The music selection is really awesome, as well. The internet levels use a remix of bonus2, which just fits really well for levels like that.
… hmm, I have little more to say here. :P
Eventing: Below Average
This is where the whole pack (and the score thereof) takes the fall. Though it’s good as it is, and the final level has clever puzzles and fun use of triggers, and don’t forget the cool boss, this level is still missing things… Especially the internet levels lack enemies and goodies, and that’s not recommended. They may call it a platform game, but that doesn’t mean all you do is leap from platform to platform. A few extra puzzles wouldn’t hurt either, especially again in the internet level.
Now of course there is your story, which might suggest that the internet just isn’t a place for lots of ammo, or enemies, but you could have implemented enemies as viri and ammo as ‘upgrades’, like you did with the airboard and the ‘Cut and Paste’ commands.
Overall Fun
It’s a fun pack to play for a while, though it is rather short. But if you appreciate a new wind blowing through the story of Jazz, do play these. They’re fun.
