It’s nearly everything said ‘bout this cool submission from Ninja Dodo. The author invented a new concept (see description above), which is fun to play. The level’s design is great and so is the eyecandy.
The "fantasy world" tileset by "The Killer" is as good-looking as it ever was and the background music is song16.s3m from Jazz 1 (good choice, fits very good).
To sum it up: definitely WORTH THE DOWNLOAD. Let some fresh air into your Jazz2 folder!
P.S.:
By the way: when i was testing "Coin race" i had this weird "coin-becomes-gem"-error several times. Any info on this problem?
Wow, a very nice idea combined with a very nice level.
“Coin Race” combines the idea of treasure hunt and race. The level does have it’s problems though. The long delays of the coins leads to problems. For instance, a person who knows the level is racing someone who doesn’t. The person who knows the level gets all of the coins first, then the person who doesn’t has to wait for all of the coins to come back. The race becomes imbalanced over time.
However, despite the little problems in this level, this is overall a very good level worth your d/l. :-)
Mmm, this is a very tasty level.
Er…I mean good level.
Very very original!
It combines Treasure Hunt with Race (Not that popular..:-) And it makes a very very cool level and idea!

P.S. The Tileset is one of my favorites, Fantasy World. I first saw it on J2C, when I downloaded Final Fantasy Jazz Demo (Full version ever coming out??)Its really cool.
Back to the tileset-
Er…original.
Why do i always get to review first?
WOW! Talk about original (don’t tell me it isn’t, never seen this idea before)! This level combines the concept of Treasure Hunt with Race, and the author did it quite well. You have to collect a number of coins in order to go to the next round. The obstacles are quite creative, but now i’ve said enough.
Conclusion: A definite 7 ;)

Xmas enemies in Easter is the whole idea of the level. Haven’t you read the (short) story?
Santa’s elves are stealing easter eggs.
Well, this level is pretty average. First, you used eye candy all wrong. You used the same eye candy, side by side on tiles. Not a great idea.
Only, Christmas enemies with Easter? Not smart. Remember, use enemies that fit well with the tileset.
Anyway, the good sides are event placement was pretty good. Not bad design. And the boss is pretty challenging.
To download or not is up to you.
A slightly above average single player level using the easter set. I liked the layout and enemy placement (I wasn’t too bothered by the christmas enemies) you could have improved the eye candy though. I felt some tiles were misused and repetitive at times.
Hmm, this level sure could use some music. ;-)
Overall BARELY a download recommendation.
Weird I get a “Query problem” when I try to edit the info. Oh well, I’ll just say it here, then:
THIS LEVEL NEEDS TSF
I used the Xmas enemies hence the name ‘elves’ (santa has elves, right?).
woops sorry about that, I’ll change teh version number to 1.24 now.
"Easter elves" is another nice level using the TSF-Carrotus/Easter tileset.
The design is okay (despite the Xmas enemies don’t fit that good :) and the eyecandy is pretty strange in some places. But that gives it an original touch, somehow :)
The main downfall of "Easter elves" is that it’s too short and easy (finished in less than 5 minutes max.).
If you are one of those bored single player fans, you may want to DOWNLOAD THiS.
P.S. Wrong version number 1.23 in the info (try the "edit info" function).
Where’d you come up with elves? :P
You misused the tileset in a few places, but over all.. 6.2
They do? Well then. Could you make a small level with at them in it? Thanx
Note: May I add that the events in multiplayer DO work.
Actually, you can use it for any kind of jungle level, and (of course) for a level with a Lost World theme. And in addition to it’s jungly-ness, there’s beach, mountain and buildings to make this a pretty versatile set.
This tileset is pretty funny, but it lacks in practical use (or so I think).
3 different opinions:
#1: The Trigger Zone works :)
#2: I haven’t tried the Stuff in multiplayer (I don’t really like making multiplayer levels) but I’m sure its fine.
#3: The HH98 Enemies Do NOT work
All in all, maybe a 6, because I like using Trigger Zone so much _.
But I won’t rate it…Not yet…
Personally, I think battling in water can be very amusing.
The weapon placement has been carefully thought out. You don’t need more weapons if you’re already carying 50 ammo of all of them. And the weapon placements has been made so that on an average run through the level you end up with roughly the same ammo for every weapon.
Hm, with every level I’ve made so far, reviewers complained that they were too small. So I made this level large…[This review has been edited by Ninja Dodo]
Actually there IS a batle level and a CTF level. Look for “LW, the battle 2” and “LW, the fall” on this site.
And a huge singleplayer episode is coming up.
I really like this tileset. There is so much things to use when making a level. Dinosaurs, palms, and other stuff. Only thing that misses is a single player/battle/CTF level. I must do at least one level with this tileset!
Ninja Dodo, you used background layers really nicely. I love the water falls and dinosaurs and other stuff there!
But level is a little bit too large. Weapon placement is strange, somewhere is too much, somewhere there is no weapons at all. I think that water is bad idea in battle level…
An even better version of this great tileset. Lots of dinos, helicopters, computers, stones, palms etc..
And finally theres a nice example level thats shows how cool the tileset looks in the game :-)
I still recommend downloading this!
