a very nice pack, with good points and also bad points if u ask me.
the levels are good, but can get a bit boring after some time. when looking at the first jungle lvl, i got a bit of a strange feeling as i didnt really had the feeling u were in a jungle ( the background was very bad, only some leaves) (2x feeling..hmm). the widescreen was vey irritating as messed up yer view, u couldnt see enemies coming from down u and that stuff.
the tarzan-like sliding was pretty kewl..but too short :-( but still good.
i think the creator has use way too much mez and more of those basic tilesets, he should have used more standard jazz lvls, or lvls with more nice thingies in them, cos i got a bit bored. the pack has some nice ideas, like a spycam (perfect dark?) and stuff like that.
i think u should download this and play it right away
i like the ducks idead :P
anyway i think its not a very bad start for a first set. it has nice open spaces as well as small paths. but it could have been much better if u had made your sets with more options. so next time try to make yer tilesets very nice, and the try to create a lvl with that tileset using all options. confused? keep going on and ull create a wonderful lvl someday
Ah, I remember downloading this from J2C a while ago….Very good levels.
(Wide screen gets a BIT annoying but its still nice)
Well, this is my first time, hehehe, I dont even know what assult is. :) Iced!, I cant edit it, it gives me a query problem :( And thanks for giving me a little bit of an “average” score :P,Ill work harder next time 0-o
I think that’s referred to as a "mistake" Claw.
anyway, these battle levels are ok I guess. They are about average, but the tilesets bring them up to a 6. The way the levels were done I don’t like very much. The maze concept in the sand level is pretty unoriginal too. The layout/eye candy in the snow level was okay. Btw, you really need to know when to use @‘s in your text strings. :-) One major downfall of the tilesets: they have an awful masking. Make sure the masking is workable before calling a tileset "complete"
Overall barely worth your d/l, but only because of the tilesets.
(Btw, reset "Battle" as the playtype with the groovy edit info/re-upload function.. ;-)
I don`t think this should be rated at all..
it’s released a long time ago! sinds there was the samecomplain a week later the MultieVersion listserver was released..
Well, it isn’t THAT useful. And it’s spelled useful, not usefull! :-P
Well, anyway, if I’m right on how you did this, than it’ll not look at the Epic server list the few times it is up.
Which I doubt will happen. Just keep it in mind when you want to download this…
sooo … distruct made that?
Since I’ve played Chips Challenge, this gives me a feeling of nostalgia. :)
Hey i like this,
I think it is really useful ;)[This review has been edited by xtreemcc]
If you include support for all versions (use all registry keys), some people may even want to download this. I find it pretty useless anyways. Better make some levels, Nimrod.
Played this before and it was cool! Noiseland productions rulez. :)

Whoa. An EXCELLENT episode. One of the lucky ones to get a 9 from me. MEZ01 (along with other tilesets) was streched to it’s limits, the music fit VERY well. It also uses a lot of creative stuff. This includes the NIFTY wide-screen view which gives it a cinematic feel. As Aiko noted, though, you should have included a readme. Even though I may know who made them, not everyone else does. :-)
My only true complaints are some levels are short and there are minor eye candy bugs. This won’t stop me from saying it’s one of the most awesome SP episodes ever created.
Download now!
I played this once a long time ago.. good, as I remember.
An actually pretty good level by SPLASH.
Uses a JJ1 set (fixed JJ1 sets are kind of userused IMO.), it had a few problems (ie lack of one ways where they were needed.) but most of it was fine.
The bg music is EXCELLENT but makes the file a little too big to d/l as Aiko said. The layout is good but kind of small and simple. Powerup placement is good.
The eye candy was okay (creative though!) but the 2001 in the foreground is kind of annoying. Good thing you didn’t tile it. :-)
I recommend this. Go download.
Wow! For me, "Agent Jackrabbit" is still one of the Top 50 creations for Jazz2 ever made.
The pack features 18 unique single player levels using six different tilesets and six cool background music tunes.
Like many famous releases, this awesome pack has a storyline that guides the player through the single player levels and makes the whole thing much more enjoyable and original.
The levels themselves are full of new ideas and other cool stuff. Not to mention the great design and eyecandy in all of the maps (this pack really showed what’s possible with MEZ01).
As mentioned in the author’s description, "Agent Jackrabbit" was also one of the first releases (if not the first) that used the cimatic movie effect with the black beam, which creates a much deeper atmosphere.
Furthermore, the author included some very elite modules by famous trackers. They really fit great and support the "Agent" feeling.
Unfortunately, the author didn’t include a readme file that could give some important info on the tilesets and music used (who made them?). Another downfall is that some of the levels are maybe a tad too short in my opinion.
However, here’s my conclusion: no Jazz2 fan should miss this awesome episode by Bartman but start DOWNLOADiNG iMMEDiATELY. It was one of the milestones in J2 level making history (i’m very undecided between 8.5 and 9 here).
P.S.: Attention, evil cheaters! :-)
Its a good tutorial for starting people, but some things that are “forbidden” can make a great effect ingame and the explanation of the tutorial is very basic…
I think that cmdr Dats has a very spoken opinion about levels.
Its good to take a look at it anyway, cause most of the stuff in the tutorial is useful.
EVIL INSANITY :P
BTW d/l works now
I saw it and didn’t like it very much, but considering there are only a few JJ2 skins out there (I have only seen 2 including this one), there wasn’t much to compare this with.
Good design and eye candy, nice ammo placement, nice open area, blah, blah. But the reason this level got a 6, is POOR base placement… The bases are basicly right next to each other. And only one start location (I think).
Anyway, the bases are right next to each other, a 2 second base path from each other. Well, if it’s just one, it can make it near inposable to score.
This download is worth giving you a good example on how to make good design, NOT gameplay.
