Awsome. Too bad it isnt for download anymore being that the site is down but I got to try it thanks to Violet. Unfortunately I lost it during a format of my HD but I rated this before. Just came back to remove all my nonsense. Anyways it’s a great game. Everyone should try it, just ask around on the JCF for it and hopefully someone nice will give it to ya.
Art: 10
You put alot of work into the art, and it’s very enjoyable. It just makes you want to keep playing it over and over.
Gameplay: 9.5
Very challenging game. But maybe too challenging? I dont know I kept trying this game and it was hard to get very far. But then again all great games take time.
SFX: 9
Some of the SFX was ripped and has somewhat a cut-out such as when you pick-up a coin. But other then that it was ok.

What is it lately that is causing new levelmakers to make extremely solid and well-done Diamondus levels? I am not sure, but I definitely like whatever poltergeist out there that is causing this most miraculous of occurances. This is yet another level in a long line of very good Diamondus levels from new levelmakers to be uploaded lately (for those who are not paying much attention, the previous levels I am referring to are spazz’s “A Diamond For You All” and raptor’s “Dynamite Diamonds”). Constructive criticism is always a good thing. While this level is quite good, there are a few small bugs and annoyances, which of course I will outline in this review, but those are not big enough to hurt the score of what is, all in all, a great level.
TILESET/TILESET USE: Diamondus 2 which is, for those who do not know, the night version of the original Diamondus, is used very nicely here. There is plenty of foreground, background, and normal layer eyecandy to keep the player interested, and there is not much in the way of eyecandy errors. There are a few small ones, I suppose, mainly revolving around areas in which secrets are covered by layer three. In these areas, the player’s ears or feet can sometimes be seen from above the covered tiles. It is often a good idea to cover all tiles within a one tile radius of secret areas with layer three wall, so the character can not at all be seen through the cracks in the walls. Otherwise, eyecandy was quite good. Diamondus is indeed an overused tileset, but this level is not very bland-looking, which is a very good thing for it. Eyecandy is solid and nicely done.
Pros: Very nicely done in general.
Cons: A few small layer three bugs.
Rating: 7.7
WEAPON/ITEM/ENEMY PLACEMENT: If there is a single thing that is wrong with this level, it could be that there are a few too many gems. I suppose that some people probably would like this huge amount of gems, but I would rather see it toned down just a bit. The same goes for ammo, although less so. There are a lot of areas of both straight gems and ammo in this level. There is some clumping going on, but not that much. Still, I would like to see the ammo especially reduced a bit to make this a bit harder. Enemies are placed very well.
Pros: Pretty good in general.
Cons: Maybe a bit overkill in gems and ammo.
Rating: 7.0
ORIGINALITY: This level could have had problems in the originality category. Why? Because, well, it is simply a single player Diamondus level. However, there are a few things that save it from getting a low score. The first of these is that the level has many unique elements. The bird puzzle of sorts is quite interesting, and so are the various multiple paths throughout the level. Unlike many first levels, this level is not linear. You can choose which path you want to go on, although you might end up having to take all routes eventually in some way. Still, it is nice to see this non-linearity, and is a rare find in a first level. Nice job.
Rating: 7.7
GAMEPLAY/DESIGN: Gameplay and design waas yet another category in which this level did quite well. There were not many problems at all with the gameplay design. The only problem that I could find was one in which some wind lefts and wind rights took you in a continous circle. I could not, for my life, find any way to get out of this. I may be missing something, but that still seemed really difficult if not impossible relative to the rest of the level, so I will call it a bug. I won’t let such a small, and possibly not existant, bug ruin the score, so I will not detract very much at all for it. Other than that small blip, gameplay was solid and very well-done. It was not linear, and it definitely was quite fun to play.
Pros: Very fun and not linear.
Cons: One problem with the wind rights and wind lefts was a bit perplexing.
Rating: 7.6
REPLAY VALUE/FUN FACTOR: This is a fairly large level. It is interesting to note that about a third through the level, the level claims that it is about to end. Another sign, however, informs the player that it was just a joke. This is a good thing, because the level would have been fairly small if it ended there. However, it is quite big. There are many routes, and a lot of it goes by quite quickly. This is one of those levels which is fun to play several times. Definitely a good replay value.
Pros: N/A.
Cons: N/A.
Rating: 7.7
OVERALL (not an average): The spectre of quality first levels made in Diamondus strikes again, and this time the ghostly figure delives better than ever. This level is a high-quality single player level that definitely is worthy of play. For a first level, or for that matter, an any-level, this is quality and definitely shows a huge amount of promise. Keep making levels, as this is very, very, very good and shows pretty much none of the mistakes most first-time levelmakers make. Great job. This is definitely worth a download.
Pros: Very good. Not linear. Fun to play. Great for a first level.
Cons: The wind bug was a bit annoying. A lot of ammo, perhaps too much. Small layer three bugs. None of these are major enough to do anything to the score, though.

Well, it didn’t work. So I took a look at the version in JCS and it was terrible. No eyecandy, about 14 – 20 tiles were used, most of which were used poorly. There is NO background either.
No download reccomendation here.
Not too good… here we go.
My rating system: Very bad, bad, okay, good, very good……….
Eyecandy: Bad
A couple parts had okay eyecandy, but most of it is just bad. Could’ve been much, much better, especially on the edges of the chunks of terrain, and in a lot of other places. Also, in the foreground layer with the blowing leaves, they didn’t have auto x/y speeds, I’m not sure if it might have had x/y speeds (not auto), but it should’ve had an auto x-speed.
Weapons and ammo: Okay
Not very good either, you shouldn’t make levels with three crates just sitting there in a row, it’s just kind of… well… uh, you know, it’s not very “attractive looking.” There was some good ammo placement, though.
Fun: Okay
This level could actually be fun if all the eyecandy was fixed up and all the ammo placement was better. It’s just ugly to look at.
Originality: N/A
Eh, all the Diamondus levels are the same. I don’t even bother rating originality when it comes to Diamondus, Castle, and all the other over-used tilesets. Maybe on tilesets like D*mn, H*ll, Colony, etc. D*mn and H*ll are tilesets, I’m not cursing at you, Powerboy. Don’t worry :-D
Download? Sorry, no download reccomendation.
I can’t believe you made something like King of the Hill after it rated so low. Anyway, I thought this was a nice level. Very small, but the idea is good. However, it wouldn’t work in multiplayer since there is no “End warp” event, it’s a single player “Area end of level” event. Soooo… there’s my suggestion. Make it actually multiplayer compatible. I could see how this would be fun, there is nothing wrong with the eyecandy for the most part.
Download? If MikeeJimbo makes an update so you can actually play it, yes.
Update, 5.5 because he fixed bugs.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
It is decent. I don’t often look at tilesets, unless someone recommend’s them, so you are lucky.. or not.
As Violet pointed out, some masking stuff. Maybe a few missing tiles. Still decent.
In the Level, I think the warp should led to a better powerup, but whatever. This is about the set, not the level.
Download. Yes.[This review has been edited by FoD]
Ok, I am not in the mood for long reviews, so I’ll make a short one.
The tileset rocks.Ok, not that short ;P
The tileset has many cool features, the planet in the backround really caught my attention. The fans look realistic, and the tileset looks good. The coloring was done well. I don’t like how some tiles are made, and some more things could of been added. I will probably edit this review and make it longer soon, but this is a great tileset finally uploaded by BlurredD, and you should download it.
Violet is right in saying that the name doesn’t match the theme, but I like the tileset. The graphics are nice, it looks easy to use, rather simple… a good overall thing.
Download? Yes.

Ok, this is truly sad. Not once did I notice that Distruct made this, and not Disguise, until I came to the bottom tiles of the tileset. Even then I thought it was some joke of Disguise’s until I snuck another look at the level info. Gaaaaaah.
THEME: The theme is…. PROBABLY a forest? It’s hard to tell.. it looks more like a strange mix between grass and high tech platforms, with something I can only guess is supposed to be trees, and some big background mountains in the background. I can not say it feels very like a forest, let alone an Entwined forest, and this is mostly because of one factor – there is basically nothing in the way of trees. There’s a grey vertical pole with a grey platform pyramid on top, but it doesn’t look like a tree. I am aware drawing trees is really rather difficult, but stilll…. Anyway, this feels a bit like a nature tileset.
Pros: The grass is done rather well.
Cons: Umm… Entwined? Forest? Trees? Bushes? Miscellaneous plants?
Rating: 6.7
GRAPHICS: The graphics in this set will take you back to J2C days, assuming you were around back then. They resemble closely Distruct’s other sets, or Disguise’s early ones – fairly simplistic but good anyway. The grass, for a start, is done quite well. The sucker tubes are a little iffy, and the background mountains have this incredibly “done before” feel. I’d say this has “ok” graphics, though not spectacular.
Pros: Things are more or less all the same quality, so it doesn’t contrast strongly.
Cons: This quality it has could be better.
Rating: 7.0
INVENTORY: Spikes (badly masked), sign (kind of badly masked), sucker tubes, arrows, vines, hooks, H/V poles, warp.
Pros: A decent amount of stuff is there.
Cons: Some bad masking, no blocks.
Rating: 7.2
ORIGINALITY: If there’s one thing this tileset suffers from, it’s a lack of originality. Simply put, it is just another isometric semi-nature not-incredible-graphics-quality tileset (by Distruct, even). The grass is, again, nice.
Pros: N/A
Cons: N/A
Rating: N/A
COMPETITION: This tileset’s competition is every other isometric (or not) nature tileset out there, only most of them feel more like nature tilesets and less like someone is trying to create a park inside their spaceship/fortress. The tileset is only skin deep, is the problem, and so is surpassed by others in its area.
(No pros given)
(No cons given)

EASE OF USE: This tileset looks pretty easy to use, though there are a few tiles which seem to be missing.
Pros: N/A
Cons: N/A
Rating: 7.5
MASKING: Masking is, for the most part good, with a few problems.
Pros: Mostly well done.
Cons: The spikes, sign, hook and raindrop could use a bit of work.
Rating: 7.2
OVERALL: This is an ok tileset, but nothing spectacular. The grass is nice, some things aren’t, the textured background is boring. There’s really not all that much to say about this tileset, and I anticiapate Trafton coming along to disprove that statement.
Pros: It’s decent.
Cons: Nothing spectacular, a few flaws.
Rating: 7.2
I don’t care about the set right now, what I’d like to know is WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SSBM MUSIC ANYWAY?
It’s all right. The tileset was a bit dull because it was made with Paint, but the level itself isn’t too bad at all.
Eyecandy – OKAY
Well, the eyecandy probably couldn’t be too good with this very simple tileset.
Fun – OKAY
Sort of fun, not too long, though.
Enemy placement – GOOD
Not bad enemy placement. One of the few levels that uses the small bees.
Ammo placement: OKAY
The level didn’t need too much ammo, but there wasn’t much, though.
Overall: OKAY
An average level.
5.0, but +.2 because you made the tileset yourself, and +.3because it came out okay, even though you made it with paint.
6.0
Download? Nah.
Very nice…
A great tileset, good eyecandy, I don’t see any missing tiles, but kinda hard to work with (as mb said)
anyway, very good job, BlurredD
you’ll recieve an 8.7 from me
and a download recommendation
gonna make a lvl with this ;)
The storyline was great, even if stolen. ;-) The gameplay was great. The animations were great. The cutscenes were ingeneous! I especially loved that level where you run from the T-Rex.
“I spent a long time on it.”
You’re kidding, right?
AAAAH! Sonic lies. Due to popular belief, there is infact an exit. Thanks to Radium for pointing this out. And, Sonic, you can’t review this twice with your two accounts.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
Not too bad, could’ve been better.
LABRATKID’S RATING SYSTEM – Very Bad, Bad, Okay, Good, Very Good
EYECANDY: OKAY
Many places had good eyecandy, but for the most part, it wasn’t all that impressive. For example, on the foreground layers, sometimes you can see parts of Jazz through the covered areas. Other times, the same tile repeats over and over again, looking rather dull.
WEAPONS PLACEMENT: VERY BAD
There were literally no weapons. 2 crates of flamethrower ammo, and 1 well hidden crate of RF Missles.
ORIGINALITY: N/A
Castle levels really can’t be original, really, since they are so simple. Well, the level by Renegade where you are teleported if you make a wrong move was original, but that’s a rare sight.
FUN: OKAY
This level might be fun for a battle level. I can’t see how you would play a good game because there are so little weapons around, and at times, the map can be hard to maneuver around in.
BUGS: VERY GOOD
No bugs, other than a few in the eyecandy. Overall very “bug-free.”
The levels are good and eyecandy is good etc. The only thing that make the pack dont reach a 10 is because of the bosses that are too many on one place. like when you fight against the jazz clones (How did u make em?) that appears in the number of 3 at the same time! if U understand what Im saying…. But its good levels though.
Um its kind okay but eye candy is bad and the levels get quite boring.
Honest to God, do you expect anybody to beat this without saving ever 2 seconds, literally? I hope not, because I’ll be really embarassed :-[ Okay, anyway, here’s the review.
I wanna give this level an 8.0 no matter what I decide about the eyecandy, enemies, etc. So I’ll give them as the follow…
VERY BAD, BAD, OKAY, GOOD, VERY GOOD
EYECANDY: GOOD
He did some great stuff that I’ve never seen done with this tileset, like making little patches of the background bricks with torches in the middle. Very nice.
ENEMY PLACEMENT: GOOD
There were lots of devils in just the places you didn’t want ‘em that generate every 5 – 10 seconds. VERY annoying.
AMMO PLACEMENT: GOOD
Not much ammo, but that’s not bad. It just adds to the effect of the level! Okay, actually, there’s a lot of ammo, but I didn’t want to go near any of it, and you’ll see why if you play the level!
FUN: VERY GOOD
A great level, very frusturating, but fun. It can ruin your perfect day, so be careful what day you pick to play it on, okay?
OVERALL: VERY FRUSTURATING, VERY FUN, VERY VERY ANNOYING!
Download? Only if you don’t mind getting in a bad mood.
My reccomendation: Remove some of the warps, and also, make it so you get through the beginning part where you go through the walls in a sucker tube very slowly. If you didn’t save, and you have to restart the level, it takes a good 20 seconds to get through the tubes. So…. save a lot!!! :-b
Download? Oh, wait, I did this, all ready, right? Hehe, okay.
Let me know if you can beat this without cheating, the maker said to let him know (in the readme.txt file)… I wanna know, too! I could get up to the part where the whole level gets really dark and you have to fight like 20 devils. Than I had to cheat… :-[
Hey, this is 1.24, right? It didn’t work for me.
WHAT IS THIS?! You take a song like TubElectric and add your own voices to it and call it a remix. I don’t like this AT ALL.
