I personally like this. The eyecandy is OK, but I do have a few rants. One, the flame-thrower thingies are out of place. Two, the background is bland. Otherwise, this is an OK tileset with some good stuff like good candles, spikes, and pillars.

Edit- I mean the orange-red fireballs that come out of those little nozzles and then dissopate. I think they didnt HAVE flamethrowers back in the mideval era… oh well………[This review has been edited by RSPSS FR]

Well, first off: great tileset!
The theme is a cathedral or a church with a graveyard…. included are vampires and stuff like that. Theme is original, I’ve seen no tileset like this one, but the things in the tileset are cliche. Ahh… but I don’t care much.
The texture on the normal ground tiles is very good and on the church tiles it’s also good, but a bit ermm.. repetitive.
After hours and hours (ok, I’m exagerrating) of looking I found out that the white cirkels in the church are……….clocks!
Next in the tileset are destr. blocks, they are (as usual with CB’s tilesets) just the official ones, this time in red with a little psp effect added to make them look…ehm….a bit distorted or something.
Suckertubes are also there and looking nice. Also included are belts, they are pretty ugly IMO but it’s an extra so..
Next is the (also mostly included in a CB tileset) alfabet and some numbers. And a snowman! Totally out of place, I guess it’s a sort of joke, because it’s a snowman from one of CB’s previous tilesets (can’t remember the name).
Next is the coffin of the scary vampire….
It’s animated and can go open and close. It’s looks a bit too straight IMHO, and how it lays on the ground is impossible because it.. well… look for yourself.
Next up are some trees. GREAT quality but I couldnt find out how to use it without having weird ends….
Then some background stuff and some eyecandy wich is o.k. quality.
Then….: the great organ with the vampire playing behind it. Really cool if you ask me! Great drawn, used some psp textures (at least I think they psp) and stuff, but not really the standard “overused-and-everywhere-used” textures.
Then there is some eyecandy stuff inluded smilie-bats :)
Also included are two (ripped, at least not self drawn, probably photo’s) statues: a female ‘angel’ and a man with bat wings, so that’s probably a demon.
Conclusion:
Original theme.
Nice drawing style.
Nice to Great texture quality.
Much eyecandy. (Yay to Jackass and CB!!)
Much possibilities (You could make a grass landscape, with some grave yards here and there, or a church in the grass land, also you can make a curch from the inside, a scary forest is also possible, but last but certainly not least: you can combine it all to make a great, unboring level!)

Good job CraccoBoy and Jackass!

The statues weren’t be me indeed. Jackass usually makes some of the eyecandy. He also did the organ, vampire, benches, altar and the church tiles, including the clock and windows(though I made the background church tiles). That’s why some of the tiles don’t look like my drawing style, that’s only in my solo drawn tilesets (Haggard, Island, Køøl and Party Casino).

-That was my original review. I thought’d I just redownload this, after all this time, and rate it once again since my old review SUCKED. Here goes:

Before rating information: Apparently this pack was created in 2001, long time ago. Let’s see how good stuff could’ove gotten back then. And the Zip file has a comment, how rux. Also, I’m testing these online now.

LGABYSS (The Abyss): Uses the egyptian night set. Good tileset choice. At first I thought the level was OK, but then it grew on me. Some thing that was annoying for me was that it was hard to get up, it took some time to land on the springs and sometimes even some more times to get them to bounce you up to the right place. I quite disliked bumpyness of the level, and I can’t imagine playing as jazz here. Other than that, there is a fair amount of gems, and I like the part where “Treasure comes to those who wait”. Another thing that sort of ticked me off were the hurt events. Only the host can die from them, which coincidentally happend to me, which made me lose my 150 gems and die. I had to cycle the level with PC4 then. Overall, it was a level which the eyecandy looked rux, but I didn’t really like the layout too much, nor the hurt events.

LGPBLACK (Pitch Black): Hmm..a pitch black caslte level. The level is basically a maze of rooms and suckers, and the lighting is what the level name implies, pitch black. I found the level quite original and interesting, I like how the suckers jut you in the rooms and how those ceiling springs bash you on a gemstomp or super gem. The only thing I disliked was that I couldn’t find the exit room, until I actually looked in JCS. Then I still couldn’t find the exit room, nor the room that has the exit sign pointing towards the exit room. THEN I finally found it. Maybe with more people this kinda thing wouldn’t happen, but for me it was sort of annoying, but I’m not an expert on navigating mazes. The level was original, interesting, but didn’t really stick out that much. Music was ok.

LGEHOURS (End Of Hours): At first glance, I didn’t really like how the walls were made, the same one or two tiles kept repeating themselves and it was kinda boring. The interior of the walls being black was original though, I liked it. The layer 5 was also nicely done. I didn’t like the backround too much, but it didn’t show that often. Again there’s a trigger crate in the level, this time I have no idea what it does. The gems were placed well in the level, and the music ruxed. Not much else to say.

LGAWAKE (Dark Awakening): Ah, I remember reviewing this, the level without a bg, fun. This time, though, I’m actually playing this online, so the trace bug is nonexistant. The level looks ok, the eyecandy isn’t the best, but this was made a while ago so it mighta been considered excellent back then. The BG looks nice, like a night sky, with lightning, which also looks spiffy. I’m not too fond of the layout, but the level overall is well done.

LGHSEEK (Hide And Heat Seek): A Labrat level, argh overused tileset. The layout here is original, I especially love how the text sign was made (the text sign being in a foreground layer that has a different X-speed than the sprite layer. The level had a lot of belts, but they ruxed and shouldn’t get in the way. The layout, though linear, rocked. It didnt make me feel like I was playing in another labrat level, and thats good. A thing I didn’t like was in the bonus warp, I landed in an area with seekers (Hide and Heat Seek, makes sense), but then I sidekicked the crates and fell into a warp I had no idea was there, thus wasting 10 valuable coins for nothing. If there was something that would point out the existance of the warp, I wouldn’t have done that, but there wasnt. I also found a mini bug, which I’m not sure if the level or jj2 was at fault, where I jumped on a belt, but it had no effect on me (I just stood there). I rejumped on the belt and it worked again. Also, I like the different Sector things in the bonus warp, reduces camping. The layout of the level was imo a bit too crowded, I frequently bumped into stuff, this also made the seeker less useful (which is good in treasure) so I dont mind.

OVERALL: Its pretty good for a treasure pack, even now. It has a lot of originality, and there will surely be something of interest to you in at least one of the levels.

LGABYSS (The Abyss): 8.1
LGPBLACK (Pitch Black): 8.2
LGEHOURS (End Of Hours): 8.2
LGAWAKE (Dark Awakening): 8.3
LGHSEEK (Hide And Heat Seek): 8.6
OVERALL: 8.2
Final Rating: 8.2666666, rounded to an 8.2

Final Comments: Apologies for the previous review, where as I underrated this. This is a nicely done Treasure pack, even now its still pretty good. I disliked some things in it, which brought down the rating. The average of this should of been around 8 or so, but I was nice and boosted up the rating of some levels by up to +.3 points. Anyways, Good Job and a Download Reccomendation, since you don’t see Treasure Packs often, and good treasure packs even rarer.

I can’t say that I like this tileset as much as some of the people here do, but it’s still a very good tileset. The ridiculously named “ET’s Planet 1 v2” features a high-tech landscape but is a bit on the smallish side. The metallicly shaded doors look superb and are great examples of textures at work, but the purple ground just doesn’t seem to fit very well. It’s drawn well, but it clashes in color with nearly everything else in this tileset, so it takes some tweaking in order to get levels to look good or how you want them to look. Still, it is pretty good ground. There are some neo-techno colored stuffs, and this tileset is chock full of whatchamadoozles that I am not sure are actually an item, but look good in metallic levels anyway. The green waterfall and grass is almost like that found in MeZmErIzE, but not nearly as well done. Still, they are again perfectly fine. The hills for the background are well-done, but not perfect. This tileset is an example of a good tileset that just isn’t extremely good in any area. If it had been worked on a little longer, it might have became a beloved classic. Still, it is worth an eight and a download recommendation. This is one planet I recommend you inhabit.

Ok, to start of this review i will talk about eyecandy and tielset use first.

The eyecandy is really good, shows that the author knows how to use the tielset very well. The ammo placement is ok, nice place to put seeker pu, and the sucker tube use is ok. The base placement could of been much worse, but also a bit better, its kinda anoying going on the suckers over and over again because you keep missing the base. Well, the thing that caught my attention most was most likely eyecandy, it ruxored.

I have seen earlier versions of this tileset, and I can’t say that I loved their drawing style. However, with the official release version, I must say that the artwork has improved greatly. The tileset has a graveyard and cathedral theme. It features many Halloweenish tiles matched with some building and ground tiles so you can create a church (but a very evil and depressing one) surrounded by gravestones. Also included is a well-drawn and animated clock tower, some very spiffular sucker tubes (I have to say I liked the one in School v3 better though), numbers and letters in order to print out scary and disturbing messages, an opening and closing animated coffin for the Dracula on the Go, trees that look like they would fit well in Christopher Walken’s front yard, some very demonicly green and threatening hills, swirling background (possibly used for hypnosis?), statues, an organ-playing vampire (who knew wind-based instruments could be so scary?), and, of course, religiously-themed Halloween stuff. The general drawing style is asimilar to nearly everything CraccoBoy does. It is inspired by games like Final Fantasy but also has a pseudo-cartoony effect that makes it different than anyone else’s tileset. This is a very good example of this drawing style. Unfortunately, it seems that some tiles just do not fit. The statue tiles, for instance, look strongly as if they were not drawn by CraccoBoy, but that is forgivable, and is much more preferable to the blalant ripping in some of his earlier tilesets. Regardless of this, the tileset looked good in the demo level I created and was flexible in use. The mask, which has been an annoying problem in past CraccoBoy tilesets, is still imperfect, but has improved greatly. The timing for this tileset is not the greatest. After all, Halloween was almost a month ago, and the first thing you think of about Christmas or Thanksgiving probably isn’t demonic figures or similar Halloween-style tchotchkes that would fit well into a more seasonally appropriate level. However, if you think it will take you eleven months to make a level, by all means, this tileset will be perfect for you. In short, this tileset is definitely worth a download and is probably CraccoBoy’s best yet. I give it an 8.2 and a download recommendation. It may not be a good time to release it, but it certainally is a great tileset.

Hmmm…….The animationd in this tileset are nice, they take up a lot of tiles, but they are ok. Few important tiles are missing, such as some destruct scenery, just one type is boring, andthe tileset isnt very user freindly. There are a lot of dead-related tiles, no zombnies or ghosts though, only vampires, and the backround looks cool. I think this is one of craccoboy’s best tilesets and you should download it, especially if you like the UNDEAD >:D

Wow, I did wait for this tileset.
C2 is a dead (take it seroius) good tileset, having 2 texture backgrounds, lots of eyecandy stuff, and some nice shadings on jazz.
As usual, Craccoboy included some cool animated belts, lots of nice texture destrouct blocks, poles, you can’t need anything in it.
There aren’t any ripped tiles except for the statues, thats great.
Also, there’s some funny “lamp” bats, I like them.
Download recommed.

The wierd cartoons are cool and……..um…….interesting.

I think i either beat this is 23 min or 27 min. Well, sometimes its to irritating and to confusing, and i get frustrated, but it has god ideas, id thought youd use more of a variety in the blocks. Eyecandy is good, nice lighting events, which boosts up the mark by about 2.0 or 1.5 alreadt. Its long, has some ammo, for this type of level, not much is needed. No pu’s, but thats ok, bu\y the look and type of level this is, it doenst need any pu’s. Nice destruct blocks, although one doesnt work i think. Spring placement and sucker tube use is as well good, and i like how Syntax included a map along with the level, so that you’ll know where to go, and wont backtrack often. The music choice is ok, since its calm, because on this type of level that has a timer when u host it in JDC, u wont have time to listen to music. This is a fun and good assault level for everyone and i reccomend you to download this.
