Ok, to start of this review i will talk about eyecandy and tielset use first.
The eyecandy is really good, shows that the author knows how to use the tielset very well. The ammo placement is ok, nice place to put seeker pu, and the sucker tube use is ok. The base placement could of been much worse, but also a bit better, its kinda anoying going on the suckers over and over again because you keep missing the base. Well, the thing that caught my attention most was most likely eyecandy, it ruxored.

I have seen earlier versions of this tileset, and I can’t say that I loved their drawing style. However, with the official release version, I must say that the artwork has improved greatly. The tileset has a graveyard and cathedral theme. It features many Halloweenish tiles matched with some building and ground tiles so you can create a church (but a very evil and depressing one) surrounded by gravestones. Also included is a well-drawn and animated clock tower, some very spiffular sucker tubes (I have to say I liked the one in School v3 better though), numbers and letters in order to print out scary and disturbing messages, an opening and closing animated coffin for the Dracula on the Go, trees that look like they would fit well in Christopher Walken’s front yard, some very demonicly green and threatening hills, swirling background (possibly used for hypnosis?), statues, an organ-playing vampire (who knew wind-based instruments could be so scary?), and, of course, religiously-themed Halloween stuff. The general drawing style is asimilar to nearly everything CraccoBoy does. It is inspired by games like Final Fantasy but also has a pseudo-cartoony effect that makes it different than anyone else’s tileset. This is a very good example of this drawing style. Unfortunately, it seems that some tiles just do not fit. The statue tiles, for instance, look strongly as if they were not drawn by CraccoBoy, but that is forgivable, and is much more preferable to the blalant ripping in some of his earlier tilesets. Regardless of this, the tileset looked good in the demo level I created and was flexible in use. The mask, which has been an annoying problem in past CraccoBoy tilesets, is still imperfect, but has improved greatly. The timing for this tileset is not the greatest. After all, Halloween was almost a month ago, and the first thing you think of about Christmas or Thanksgiving probably isn’t demonic figures or similar Halloween-style tchotchkes that would fit well into a more seasonally appropriate level. However, if you think it will take you eleven months to make a level, by all means, this tileset will be perfect for you. In short, this tileset is definitely worth a download and is probably CraccoBoy’s best yet. I give it an 8.2 and a download recommendation. It may not be a good time to release it, but it certainally is a great tileset.

Good tileset with best tubes, what I seen. There are lot of bad animations and some good animations. Tiles are not dark. Invisible tiles are good.
low/medium/high/very high
Colors: medium
Animations: medium
Size: high
Useable: high
Hmmm…….The animationd in this tileset are nice, they take up a lot of tiles, but they are ok. Few important tiles are missing, such as some destruct scenery, just one type is boring, andthe tileset isnt very user freindly. There are a lot of dead-related tiles, no zombnies or ghosts though, only vampires, and the backround looks cool. I think this is one of craccoboy’s best tilesets and you should download it, especially if you like the UNDEAD >:D
are you guys using xp? i thought the layout was awesome, maybe i forgot to include something? can someone send me a screenshot or something?
Yesh i already see it, but this just rule. The layer 7 is lol orginal, there are shadings of jazz, it rule. The bats rock, and all rock. Just rule rock this, download this not if ya are scary.
It’s hard, what makes it interesting, yeah.
SPRING!
This rock. I always hate to be killed in two Pu-Seeks in CTF ;) The layout is the only not-so-good.
Wow, I did wait for this tileset.
C2 is a dead (take it seroius) good tileset, having 2 texture backgrounds, lots of eyecandy stuff, and some nice shadings on jazz.
As usual, Craccoboy included some cool animated belts, lots of nice texture destrouct blocks, poles, you can’t need anything in it.
There aren’t any ripped tiles except for the statues, thats great.
Also, there’s some funny “lamp” bats, I like them.
Download recommed.
it`s a good level with strange puzzle`s
and it have`s a good music the level is pritty long and fun to play!download it
Well, looks nice to me, I wanted something like this for a long time. But perhaps you could make a better lay-out.
it’s the point that the springs are everywhere
it’s maybe hard but that makes interesting!
I didnt find this as good as most of you did. The story is good, not bad, but good. The effects in some levels are really cool, falling enemies, the “car ride” and stuff like that, but the level didnt have as much eyecandy and i think the tileset was made in MS paint. The wierd cartoons are cool and……..um…….interesting.
Overall tileset/music choice rating: 8.5
Overall level rating: 6.9
Overall pack rating: 7.7
I think i either beat this is 23 min or 27 min. Well, sometimes its to irritating and to confusing, and i get frustrated, but it has god ideas, id thought youd use more of a variety in the blocks. Eyecandy is good, nice lighting events, which boosts up the mark by about 2.0 or 1.5 alreadt. Its long, has some ammo, for this type of level, not much is needed. No pu’s, but thats ok, bu\y the look and type of level this is, it doenst need any pu’s. Nice destruct blocks, although one doesnt work i think. Spring placement and sucker tube use is as well good, and i like how Syntax included a map along with the level, so that you’ll know where to go, and wont backtrack often. The music choice is ok, since its calm, because on this type of level that has a timer when u host it in JDC, u wont have time to listen to music. This is a fun and good assault level for everyone and i reccomend you to download this.
-uhm..wha?
Edit: OK, ill try it, ill edit this later, and ill tell ya wat i think
Go Spazzyman!
How many proggies can he make?[This review has been edited by KILLERRABBIT]
EDIT: Woot! this proggie rox! another great proggie from Spazzyman![This review has been edited by KILLERRABBIT]
Well, I’ve tried downloading the levels a million times, but the tilesets aren’t appearing in the Jazz2 folder. Can anyone help?
Btw: from what I saw on J2O, the levels are great!
Well, when I downloaded this, I had no idea (mostly) what it was, so I’ll describe it a bit.
“Jump battle” is a vertically oriented battle level consisting of a bunch of platforms hanging in mid air, and a pool at the bottom. The thing is, all the platforms have springs atatched to them, on all sides, generally.
There’s a carrot at the top which is only reachable as Spaz. Thus, if you’re Jazz, shoot the morph at the bottom. I played this with Diz and FS for a while, and can say that while it provides an interesting experiance, it can get boring.
The eyecandy’s ok. There are a few plants, some foliage, and the background’s filled with trees.
Waaaaaaaayyyyyyy overated.
The springs, even if they were fun, they make it hard to move around, think of how mental the server would get if there were 15 people playing in this level bouncin’ everywere ;P
Nice tileset use, well it still deserves a good download reccomendation from me cause its fun. ;P
EDIT: OMG BACKSLASH FASTER THAN ME OMG OMG OMG HE POSTED 5 sec BEFORE ME OMG ;D[This review has been edited by Blackraptor]
Wooooo! Argrees with Moonblaze, this level is over-rated. I don’t like it. Too much springs. Bad design. You can’t stand somewhere… An 6.7 from me.
