Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

Well, basically, this is Space Invaders, only your character is Jazz looking up. While Jazz can look up in two directions, only one is used.
The other thing that relates this to Jazz is that in some of the levels, various Jazzish things are spelled out with the black blocks that annoyingly get in your way.
The apparently, only added detail is that there’s a powerup, which when gotten, gives you a few shots that go through everything. You can only have one shot in play at a time.
The things you have to defeat are little UFOs, not the ones Spaz shoots down, and I’d say everything else (other then Jazz) is from some other Space Invaders game, as well.
If you haven’t already got some other Space Invaders thing, you might as well download this.

A fairly good CTF level, it just needs some more eyecandy. Isn’t pier47 a
clothing store?

This is good like tileset.
It is very easy to use. Beginners download this must!!!
Professionals too. Good tileset.
Layer 7 includes, concrete, rocks, space… I say: Download this!!!

This is not GODLIKE tileset. This is BEST tileset. No, one from four best. Egypt is 200%, not 100.0%. WOW.

Ok, here’s my review:

Graphics: 9/10
There are a lot of cool graphics for the spaceships, the fire, the explosions, and the background. Unfortunately, the fire and explosions are a bit “dotty”. Jazz is pointing his gun upward, so that was ok.

Control: 9/10
Unlike the original Space Invaders, you can move relatively fast. Thus, movement is very easy.

Sound: 9/10
The only sounds you hear are shooting and exploding noises, just like the original, but they are pretty cool. So don’t expect any music.

Difficulty: 6/10
Not very hard, but no games are hard for me.

Game Length: 6/10
I just downloaded it and already beat it. Not too long, but read comment above.

Overall: 7.7

Sure, there’s hundreds, but this is the only game I’ve made that’s glitch-free!
Sorry for reviewing my own level, but I wanted to add that I think the
maximum score in the game (or the highest I could get) is 55400.

Good Idea, but there are hundreds of space invader clones out there.

This is pretty much an average level. I tried playing as Lori, and it was very annoying. Not one of Unhit’s best. Sorry.

This is a good tileset chock full of blocks (har har, that rhymes). For the tileset collector, download this! It may be rare some day.

This level is a good level. My big complaint is the sheer amount of ammo. It is enough to classify this as an Assault level. BTW, thank you for including your password. While no password is preferable, if you are including one, it’s nice to spare us the trouble and tell us it in the level description.

A very good level with nice eyecandy (though a few glitches) and OK weapon placement. Download today! :)

I agree with many of the above. The point of level submission is to see how you can improve, not have people rave about perfection. In this case, I can’t rave mutch. It is a linear level that is very small. It seems overrated.

This is a very nice tileset. Some things I would like are missing, but not enough to severly downgrade it. Great job, Skulg!

Executor, please don’t type in all caps and flame. This level pack, however, is poor. Some parts were OK at best, but the whole experience is very linear and uninteresting, so a 2.

This level suffers from the fact that it just isn’t distinguishable from all the other darn Carrotus levels that exist. Also, as noted, including standard music just inflates pack size.

I thought I would go insane if I saw another Diamondus level, but I will make an exception here. Eyecandy is superb, weapon placement is very good, and the overall feel of the level is good. There are a few graphics glitches, but nothing big. I would recommend a download.
