Lol R3ptile, your first review. Uhm, I’m reviewing a tileset for a long time, so let’s see what can I create for a such rating this time. And since there’s two tilesets, it would be hard to review them both. But because the 2nd one is just the same tileset with more tiles, I review this by it. :P
TILE AMOUNT / USEFULNESS
There’s not very much about them, even in the fu2. This is meant for hotels? Hotels sux? This looks like a tileset for beginners. Very simple. Since there’s not very much about tiles, some of them are a bit useful, I give a 4.
4/10
GRAPHICS / EYECANDY
I wonder were is the textured background which most of the tilesets should have, there’s anyway a cyan tile, which I think that might be the tile, meant for main background. Yuck, looks rather ugly. Otherwise it doesn’t look very fine. I don’t like cartoon tilesets. But it anyway deserves a 3.
3/10
TILE LINKING
There seems to be nothing like this. The tiles are rather simple squares(almost all of them.) But there’s also some strange stuff there. At least those tiles can be situated to almost anywhere.
2/10
ORIGINALITY
Since some of the tiles really look like some of the tileset “Wasteland” tiles. I believe that it’s not totally copied, but I mean imitated. You should try to create something new, k plz thx. And there’s stuff missing so you don’t deserve very high number about this.
4/10
ANIM TILES, SPIKES, ETC.
I just can see some coloured tiles, and tiles which have letters in them. I think this ain’t be a good idea for a sp-level or such for a CTF, etc. Just alot of important stuff missing.
2/10
REALIZATION
Uhm, where am I? I think this is just nothing. Just as in the mind of someone.
2/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
-2 No readme, or other information about the tileset. Not even example level.
OVERALL: 15:6=2.5
TILESET RANK: Poor tileset
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: Nope.
USE: No, it looks pretty useless, but I think that some beginner level-makers could use it to somekind of a strange level, I don’t recommend that anyways. As author recommended to use it to hotels, I think it’s a bad idea. Hotels sux? There’s not even such stuff for hotels in the tileset.
ENDING COMMENTS: Hmmm, the tileset wasn’t very good work. Your brother even helped to make it. I recommend to make some more complicated tilesets and which would have some use also than only hotels. Nothing else to add.
-Superjazz was here
“AAAAaaarrrggghhh, what a level”, I noticed, during the game. Let’s go see what kind of level that is. (PICKUP AND ENEMY PLACEMENT is now STUFF PLACEMENT.)
DESIGN
No design? Just a boss waiting behind some stuff? Miserable.
2/10
EYECANDY
This is also really horrible! The main background has done incorrectly and other layers besides layer 4, didn’t seem to be used. The layer four has at least some eyecandy, but it’s still poor. And I found a lot of tile-placing bugs.
2/10
ORIGINALITY
Well, this is your made, but the tileset is basic. But do you think that I would give an 8 just because it’s your made? No, I don’t judge in the ORIGINALITY-section only the tileset and the level-maker. There also have to be some, eh…It’s hard to explain, but just some kind of stuff. Example if there’s falls where is nothing at the down, isn’t original because the area is always empty. Well, by this case, this couldn’t even get 7. Cuz it even looks like it would be unfinished. It deserves maximum 5, but because music is also basic, only 4.
4/10
GAMEPLAY
The worst! There’s no gameplay here. There is places where you can fall down, and can’t get back. You don’t even die, because there’s nothing. And the level is just way too short. Well, I give a 2 anyways.
2/10
STUFF PLACEMENT
Still poor. There were so less stuff And enemies were in weird places. And what is a fat chick or a doggy dogg doing in carrotus?
2/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
-1 No readme
-1 No difficulty settings
-1 The text in the end, when you’ve beaten the schwartzenguard(or how is it spelled), reads like this: Are you a turtle…or a (fish), Or something like that. It won’t give you any +. Sorry. The level’s filename also shows it again.
OVERALL: 9:5=1.8=1.7
LEVEL RANKING= Poor level
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: No, I even deleted the level immediately after testing it.
ENDING COMMENTS: Wow! For a long time I see again a sp-level like this. You’re not gonna receive high ratings by that way. You have to be more careful with the tiles, make longer ones, and put always something to under you. I don’t want to fall to the emptiness. It looks unfinished in that case. 9 points is a very small amount of points, since you also got alot of minus-points. It’s only about 20% about that what you could have got. And I think that others here overrated this a bit. Or then I have began to see always so good eyecandy and careful work, that this has been a really miserable thing in my eyes. You have to learn to making them better. Practice! Make levels for practice, but upload those levels, when you think that you’re in the top. Or how could I say that :). I think that I anyways should add a 0.3 to this rating, because it’s xmas, but that would be unfair. Eh, 0.3 more? Well, not this time.
-Superjazz was here[This review has been edited by Superjazz]
One thing which I forgot about the description: The episode is meant to experienced players. Even you would take Easy-mode, it would still be hard. Yes, there is difficulty settings and when you choose Hard, the amount of enemies is about double. There’s a bit more carrots and pickups, etc in easy. You have to be also that good player than the person in the story is. If you are an elite-SK, then you have to deal with it, or how is it explained. So I put some flocks of enemies into some places and I have given enough guns to beat em, though. It’s not only meant to use other guns, you also have to use Blaster a lot. I also recommend you to save some of the guns to access some secrets.
Yeah, and here are answers for all raters. If I don’t have any answers or comments about ratings, then I just put “Thanks for reviewing!”:
Snooz: Good, you fixed it. Thanks for reviewing!
dx dc: I think that sp-levels aren’t hosted very often. Eh? Co-op? Well, I don’t think that it would be very nice idea, and remember also that agreeing almost everything with another reviewer isn’t making a review or a rating properly.
Wadledee: Thanks for notice! I found out the problem. I just had forgotten to put also Castle2 Eclipse-tileset to the pack. Now I recommend you to re-download this, so you will get that tileset also with the episode.
NOKA: Thanks for reviewing!
Blackraptor: No. I wasn’t shocked very much of your rating and I don’t say that it’s unfair review, and that you even would have originally given me 6.2. Maybe the taste or style of my level-pack wasn’t interesting you. And you said that many things were evil. Doh, some people just don’t like evil and darkness. Well, my point isn’t making evil-levels but this was just because the storyline, you know. Hmmm, then I wondered about the eyecandy-thing. I really think that your eyecandy standards have gone some high. Did you really check out all the levels properly? …I really forced on the last levels more as I was more interested to finish it and put some special eyecandy. I know that it might suck in the first levels. Especially in “Attacking the fortress”, but I did so much work on the last levels, that the eyecandy on first ones shouldn’t decrease it so much. Well, everyone has his/her own opinions. Whatever, thanks for reviewing anyways, dude.
partybunny: I think you are overrating my level. I don’t like that my levels are overrated, it’s a shame. Especially when you have so less reasons to tell, why do you give me a 10. Just saying that it’s not too hard not too easy. I think you even didn’t play it at all further than the level 1, or the “final test”, to be said better. Because at least some others said that it was even a bit too hard and I think you wouldn’t be an elite then. Well, do not rate the level just by the first level, k thx.
BloodRabbit: Thanks for the note. I put the credits-tileset to the pack also and re-uploaded it, but I can’t put there that Christmas-tileset, because the file would be too big and the site couldn’t find it. You have to get that Xmas1-tileset separately from somewhere else. I think that tileset would be the most less important, which quite many should have.
chandie: Hey! C’mon, platform-jump games have this kind of “One-hit K.Os.” Have you ever played mario? Do you remember that when he falls to lava, he dies instantly. Erm, he dies otherwise too. :P
But what is a platform-jumping game without these kind of things? Well, seems that you never liked mario also then. Thanks for reviewing also.
sabaspaz: Thanks for reviewing. I anyways would have wished for more details but, that’s just ok anyways. :/
Alicia: Uh, so you are a finn also? Nice. If you want, you can freely rate this any time.
MazeMan: You’re my friend, so I thought that you wouldn’t rate my level because of that, like I don’t rate yours, but I allow you to do that in some case then. But if you made one, then you should have put a lot of more details and comments. I think that some admin will soon remove the rating-number from your review with that amount of details. And seems that you’ve just started to review some levels again, after a long pause from being using j2o.
Alexander BG: I wish you would have put your review in other style, but that’s just ok also. Hmm, so you think my episode is perfect? I think it’s a bit overrated, but as you gave at least enough details, I would like to thank you also for dueling. I really want to know the reason why does my level get 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, etc. Always.. ;)
Once more, thanks for everyone who reviewed. :][This review has been edited by Superjazz]
So, this is a battle pack so it’s quite hard to rate for me because I haven’t created those sections for battle levels/levelpacks with which to rate it overall because I’m not interested about battle levels so much, especially not interested to rate them. Well, because I saw that this had got that high rating, I decided to download it, well I’ll tell about my opinions soon about the levels, but that I at least this time also interested to rate this. Yes, this is hard to rate because this is my first time when I rate a battle level. Ok, let’s see what can I create to sections, and what points do you get.
EYECANDY
This is really great. Not wonder if this levelpack has even got already an overall rating of 8.6. It looks some times confusing, this amount of eyecandy would be better in sp-levels than in battle levels, because you have to be more serious, or ugh… It’s hard to explain. Well, anyway cuz I didn’t find any eyecandy-bugs, I give a 10. :] (Btw, I thought that the darkness-level’s tileset was made by Blade because it looked so simple, but Disguise surprised me!) :O
10/10
LEVEL SIZE AND FILL
(Notice, that I’m rating the overall of all levels.) Well, “To the darkness”-level could be a little more bigger and the fill of tiles, etc. could be some bigger. Or no, the size of it is very good but not the fill. And actually the space fortress is a bit too small then.
8/10
EVENT PLACEMENT
Good start pos. Or actually the placement of start pos. isn’t very important except if someone would place them into a wall, heh then the level could be like nothing ;D
Placement of ammo and pickups is…Err, I think there’s a little too much of it, but otherwise they’re well placed.
9/10
ORIGINALITY
Custom tilesets but not YOUR own. Your own made levels. That’s again a 9.
9/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
+1 Good music choice
-1 No readme and this is unnamed or whatever.
OVERALL 36:4=9
LEVEL RANK: Very good level
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: Yes.
HOST THIS: Yes, but the eyecandy may look confusing in some places. Especially when you duel, the background will move really fast, etc.
ENDING COMMENTS: So, this was my first battle-level rating so I don’t exactly know that did I rate it very well, that could there be more sections, but at least I think this levelpack is available to deserve an 9. Well done, just make some more cool things to your levels, make them more, fill them better and balance the size of the levels. Just only change the layout with the tileset.
-Superjazz was here! Btw, nice smile-river yeh? >P
[This review has been edited by Superjazz]
A spiky tubelectric. After started playing, I noticed why the level had this level name.
DESIGN
No story? eh? Only spikes everywhere and shooting some sparks.
2/10
EYECANDY
Well, there is much eyecandy, but it’s some weird in some places.
8/10
ORIGINALITY
Nothing new, basic tileset, music. The level was anyways made by your own.
8/10
GAMEPLAY
Poor, Only one level and it isn’t also very long, but just as a little snack. It was some hard at first and I died 2 times. But then I began to watch out for the spikes more so it was actually very easy, because there were only sparks as your enemies.
3/10
PICKUP AND ENEMY PLACEMENT
Sparks in everywhere. It’s rather odd placement, but I think that ammo’s were placed better.
7/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
-1 No readme-file
-1 No difficulty-settings
OVERALL: 26:5=5.2
LEVEL RANK: Average level
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: Yes, anyways
ENDING COMMENTS: Ummm, I think this was also a bit overrated. I gave it 5.2 specially about the reason that it’s short and there is no other levels or any design. Next time make your level(s) more longer and spend some time to them. If you make a for fun level, don’t make it like “spikes everywhere” which actually are in rather strange places. Remember to put a readme and also difficulty-settings into your levels, so the player may choose a difficult. :>

C’mon people. This is what real platform-jumping games really should be! Dying when falling into a pit. These levels were really impressive. I didn’t find the first 3 levels nowadays so difficult that I even should have cheated in them, but I had to save plenty of times before some hard sections. These 4 levels were difficult but not impossible for me, except I had to cheat in the 4th level’s puzzle. I had no idea on how to solve that if trigger crate is behind two rocks from teh thingy..
Then the last level was a total mess.
There all you need is really good timing. Normal platform jumping was still just a normal challenge in the 5th level, but after the freezing sucker-tube, the challenge got really difficult. I had to get 15 coins from crates. The worst thing was that the coins turned into gems instantly if I didn’t break the crate correctly and didn’t get the coin in time. So, I didn’t continue from the coin-collecting section forwards anymore..I wonder what was at the end. I would actually been able to complete this level also, if the load-thingy wouldn’t run out of memory when saved after 3 times in this level. That sux.
I’m really waiting for full version and which wouldn’t have so hard levels as 5th level of this demo was. I’m not sure what I would give about this demo if I even would be able to rate, but I will think for the rating number of the full version as it comes. Doh, sure I will also play it before I rate, but if I may not cheat in any case.. :o
We’ll see…Good demo![This review has been edited by Superjazz]
Hmmm, this had a high rating, and i thought this would be really good episode. ok, let’s see was it really.
DESIGN
I didn’t see any texts during the game, but that doesn’t yet matter very much. These also seemed to be for fun, but there’s a destination to get to Bilsy and kill him. Well I can give it a 6
6/10
EYECANDY
Eyecandy was good and there’s quite alot about it. Background also seemed to be quite custom, so well done!
But, I saw quite much eyecandy-bugs in levels. Like minimum 2 bugs in each level, so this is only 8. So, next time watch that, which tiles are you placing and where.
8/10
ORIGINALITY
Basic musics, tilesets and own made levels. Good! 8 again.
8/10
GAMEPLAY
Huh? Short? No, I don’t think so. This episode wasn’t huge but levels were enough long, so it was nice to play :D. But it’s rather too easy.
8/10
PICKUP AND ENEMY PLACEMENT
Hmmm, I agree some with labratkid that Food should be included in some easier places. Enemy placement is good.
7/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
+1 Good readme-file but should be named other
-1 There is difficulty settings but only very very few when I checked one of your levels from jcs
OVERALL 37:5=7.4=7.5
LEVEL RANK: Medium level
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: Yes.
ENDING COMMENTS:
Yea, this didn’t seem to be overrated, but I just didn’t like about this level so much than the others did. I saw so many eyecandy bugs, and it’s so easy, too much carrots, etc. Well, 7.5 is anyway a good rating. You also, remember my reminds, like watch which tile are you placing and where. Nice job!
-Superjazz was here
Ok, a rating from me a long time.
DESIGN
Seems that there’s only one level which has no story. Just the end boss in the end.
2/10
EYECANDY
Well, there’s enough of it. Tileset is Agama’s so you need some skill too to use this one. It’s good anyway. I also saw few bugs.
7/10
ORIGINALITY
Well, just like usual:
-Tileset is custom, but not own made
-Whole level is fully own made
8/10
GAMEPLAY
Ummm. Doesn’t look very good. There’s only 1 level and that’s quite short. Includes also an end boss.
2/10
PICKUP AND ENEMY PLACEMENT
This is kinda poor also. Ya guys really should know about the worthness of gems and pickups.
-Red gems should be like quite much, often enough, often as food also
-Green gems should be included sometimes in a place that you must do something to get there
-Blue gems very seldom and in very hard place
Okay, I found also a secret place where the author was writed “rate this” with food. I dunno is that good or bad thing since it’s just a message ;)
Enemy placement was good enough so a 7
7/10
+ OR – EXTRA POINTS
+1 Some difficult settings
-1 Strange music choice
+1 Nice end boss idea, but it can be also destroyed with other guns than TNT so only +1
OVERALL: 5.4 = 5.5
LEVEL RANK: Average
Download recommend: yes, if u wna try it.
ENDING COMMENTS
So, this was your first lvl? Very good for a first level. No special comments, than practice more, and make more levels, I mean episodes or levelpacks or something like that.

So, what can my ears hear? A test for brains. ummm, yeah! I’m very clever, more than einstein, no, I’m just a noob. No I’m not, I’m just what I am, just joking. Heh. Lol. But now let’s see what does this “brain-test” get.
Oh, no no no. This is an test, so I couldn’t rate this like any sp-level. So, let’s say it straightly.
Ummm, Good eyecandy, But some layers are missing, well there’s some secrets too, and Without them, the lvl is impossible. Well, those Tests and tricks weren’t even very hard, only the last one a bit. So it doesn’t yet need very much smartness. It took me about 5 mins, and could have been taken lesser. Level wasn’t that long. So, level uses Blade’s tileset. Ummm, yea he makes good tilesets and they are easy to use. Good that this is originality also. And what the heck is that readme?

What does this text above mean? Eh, The author could have been told more clearer the idea. Good that you also included the tileset. But this readme, eh, I couldn’t give + from it. Well, Music is just the jj2-menumusic. Well, kinda simple.
Even puzzles were hard, they were nice. So make a level pack, but not levels that only contain puzzles and labyrinths. You have to use power and smartness. Puzzles, and enemies, traps, etc.
Well that was kinda all. Let’s see what rating does this level get.
Thinking…Thinking…Thinking
Ummm… Hard to say but I think that this lvl receives a 6.7! There were some puzzles and the level wasn’t very long and all that other. So you need to practise even more. I didn’t like this level so much than others but it’s a good rating anyway.
Becuz there is something in your levels that is missing. Maybe a little more careness and make them more longer. Puzzles too and a good design with readme. That’s all.

Oh, moonblaze’s level. Let’s begin to review!!!! And no Including or difficulty-section, I will give + if difficulty settings or readme included.
DESIGN
so, no prology or any story, to tell that, why we are suddenly in a “frozen cave” Well, but seems that the idea is to blow up, and escape from this frozen cave, well nothing new, but nice level.

EYECANDY
Kinda nice eyecandy and lots of it. What a background, well I don’t give it + or -. Just 8!

Hey, I couldn’t find the level from the list. I check the level and see that the level is hidden in the home cooked level list. Though this level belongs to an episode, but then you should upload all the levels in one pack. I couldn’t know that this level belongs to an episode. I just think that it’s just an independent level becuz there’s only one level in the zip.
Aha, now I remember this episode. I visited my friend once and saw that he was playing this episode but I didn’t know what was that name so now I downloaded this and saw that, so now let’s begin to rate!
DESIGN
Well, this has a some kind of story in the readme file, it’s able to read. But the destination and acts are quite strange. A 6.
6/10
EYECANDY
Well, the first level “aa” or what it ever was, was poor. Not because the author doesn’t have skill, just because that tileset is poor. I don’t know who made that tileset but it’s kinda useless. Because other levels were good, and that shows that the author has some skill too but there isn’t very mucho background. In the diamondus level I saw that you have written jazz to the background with those stars. This deserves a 7.
7/10
ORIGINALITY
Well, I know that no one hasn’t made this before you, but this is continue from another level pack what you have made, so anyway 5.
5/10
GAMEPLAY AND DIFFICULTY
They aren’t very hard and seems that these doesn’t have very much difficulty settings. hmmm, levels are kinda short, and there’s five about them, so I give“Think, think think” A 6!
6/10
INCLUDING
So you have linked the levels but you should hide the other levels too, and good that ya have a rdm-file. And ya included all what was needed to play this. Well done.
8/10
PICKUP AND ENEMY PLACEMENT
Not very much of ammo, gems, food or anything other extra. And kinda poor enemy placement.

COOL! This is kinda nice level, so Mirrow has made the tileset. Sad that there is no Pepsi-sponsors Blue and red. So, because I haven’t created a Ctf rating-system for myself I couldn’t rate this fully, because I don’t play or review Ctf-levels usually, because I don’t like them very much. But this one was specially interesting and so I tested and rated it, and Seems that you have made this level well, I give this 7.7.
I can’t rate this fully because the weirdness of this episode. And You shall not use someone’s other’s level’s. How could you? No copies next time you make a level. Make your own level. Oh, there is so much things in your levels that should be changed, so, this is so strange level, that I give it 2.
Hey, guy!
Remember to name your levels to other than original levels of jj2, so someone could play em. I don’t wanna lose the original shareware episode of jj2, and also make your own episode or level! Do not copy or remix any level, okay, so it will be more interesting, and better also.
Seems that the xargon is a game, but at least, it’s unknown for me. Well tileset looked quite fine, and this is like a conversion, I give it an 8.
Well, because I have rated today so many jj2 levels I’m tired to rate this fully, and I also have other rating sections for tilesets than I have for sp, so let’s say it straight and decide the rating number.
Well, seems that you have skill on making tilesets and levels too, ehm, except you should make longer example levels or then do not make them at all. Well, tileset seems to be quite fine and useful, but should have more tiles and animated tiles, eyecandy, etc. So I decided to give at first a 7 like Mike, but I give 7.2 because the example level. And remember to make them longer next time. By the way, are you a finn, snooz?
Well, I guessed that, because you write like a finn, and then I checked your profile and saw your e-mail. Finnish language, and because I’m a finn too.

Hello there!
This was very nice level, but I couldn’t rate this because you’re my friend. Must to say, I liked this level, this is the best level from you what I have ever seen. Keep going, and a little better so you can receive more higher ratings, even higher than me. And you already have pretty good rating.
Well, this was Blade’s tileset and it’s very easy to use, so it’s good for you to use, Mazeman. But still, use more tiles, and the level doesn’t look boring. And remember to make enough long levels, (this level was a good one, it were enough long) and more than one or two of them. And of course, make some changes to pickups. Well, I don’t have nothing else anymore to say except keep going.
