Here we have a new JCS.ini file created by EvilMike which is very useful.
All the events have been put under the correct categories. It’s now easier to add in extra time for Shields since the Stopwatch is now under that category.
Some events have been renamed so that they are more understandable.
EvilMike has also labelled which events work in TSF only (marked with an asterisk “*”) and which do not work.
Also included is an MCE Event so it’s now easier for those who want to include MCEs in their level(s).
In some events, the boxes have also been renamed, including the “WaitTime” on the Sucker Tube.
This is certainly a very useful file for not just beginner JCS users but for everyone else too, so I’d definitely give this a DL Recommendation!
As a rating, I’m gonna give this a big fat 10!

Okay, so to review your episode…

Very good pack, plotline adds some to the last part, “The Rebirth of Evil”, but not as much. Levels are pretty well designed, with plenty of eye candy, not really any bugs, with a difficulty level that’d scare hard-level-haters away, but keeps the commited player rivited and forces them to play again and again.
Not much to criticize, except maybe the lessness of plot, but overall is a pretty nifty pack and earns my DL recommendation.

Hmmm… I don’t know what to say….
Well, this is my favorite episode. I played other 3,but this is really the best.I like the story, especially part in haunted mine.Technopauluz noticed(few months before me)the shields and power-ups room, that was a little strange. But anyway, you should download this episode(of course, the 3 previous too)because it’s simply the best.

I would have to totally disagree with Master Cheater’s review, because
1: he’s a CHEETR!!! jk
2: he’s not played it, so what right does he have reviewing it?
Now, for my review…
This is a very, VERY good level pack! The theme is simple: Turtles have effectually been wiped out, but the few remnants remaining have banded together and are attacking the rabbits in full force. You are an inhabitant of the small, “backwater”, as EM put it, planet of Deserto, colonized by rabbits, now invaded for goodness-knows-why, except maybe for its oil fields. Nah, I don’t think so… So you are trying to discover why on earth someone would invade Deserto, you you pick up your gun and start looking. AFter a sequence of events, you finally realize why they’re invading: _____ _____ _____ ____ ____. Whoops, no spoilers here :( But, very good plotline, the best I’ve seen in a long while, and while gameplay was basic, it was still enjoyable, and I highly recommend downloading it!!!! Evil Mike gets a 9.8 from me, and I hope he goes back and makes EP 2!

Starting Comments
… I’m a bit late, am I not? Here’s for good old time sakes.

Gameplay:
In this part of the story, Jazz is sent on missions by the army and whatnot and it’s awesome. What can I say? This just plays really well. There’s a lot of time and thought put in all of the layout, the mechanics, the placement of items and enemies. It all fits together like a perfect puzzle.

Atmosphere:
EvilMike does a great job of capturing the atmosphere. He uses music that very well blends with the tileset and makes sure that, wether you’re in a spaceship or in a battle simulation, you will feel at home. You grow with the story and you embrace it with both hands. While this story makes your brain storm, you will still be reminded that this is a platform game, which makes this pack very well executed.

Eventing:
Simply wonderful. All of the mechanics work flawlessly, the enemies are placed well and everything just fits. Creativity is the keyword in this pack.

Overall
This pack is a SP-must-download. Along with the earlier episodes, this pack makes for days of fun.

Download Recommentdation
Hell yeah.

Further Comments
Keep ‘em comin’, Mike.

LEVEL DESIGN
The levels were all good, well-placed traps and treats, bt there were some jumps leading you into lotsa baddies. Half and half.
Eye candy
A fair amount of itwas prevalent, good job.
PLOT
Xtroardinary and fabulous is all I can say. Great job, it kept me going.
Overall, you did a fine job with it, and I look forward to EP 5.
Summary: DOWNLOAD NOW, YOU LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!!!!

The weakest in the series. Episode 4 is much easier than the others, and keeps its gameplay mostly tame and generic. The story and little touches in levels stemmed from it is what propels this ep into stardom. The most fresh level is the first one, which is brilliant but made frustrating by a few engine quirks. However, overall still a must play

Time to review the pack that inspired me to make levels!

Let’s go.

Story
Now this could be a simple boring plot of Devan is taking over the world thing. This is however, different. Basically it’s been years since Jazz defeated Devan Shell. his henchmen have invaded the small Colony of Deserto. You are a civilian who is living in the other side of the town. You decide to jump the barricade to find out what has happened. From there, it is your mission to rid Deserto of Devan’s forces. This may sound simple, but there are tons of plot twist along the way. The story is compelling and is one of my favorits!
10/10
Eyecandey
Wow. Just wow. Deserto isn’t really rich in eyecandey, but Mike proofed T was an idiot. the tilebug number is 0. Everything fits. If that’s not enough, the backgrounds look great. Foregrounds aren’t used much but that didn’t really bug me. The little details are incredible. The way the sand looks is great and a lot of stuff really looks natural. The weird planet you visit looks really cool and so does the temple. Overall, Great work! I loved the eyecandey and even by today’s standards, it still holds up great!
10/10
Gameplay
Now here is something refreshing and new. Unlike a lot of episodes where you just run and shoot, you actually have to think. A lot of puzzles are very hard to figure out and some of the secrets really break your neck. All the levels are very nice and long making it so it’s lasts a while. The secrets really boost the replay value. Most of the levels are open ended and feel very wide, even when there is only one place to go. Lots of cool little things are done like pits that kill you if you fall in. (Until I played this episode, I didn’t know you could do that)Some things like the disappearing platforms in the Temple level are annoying to death but that doesn’t really hurt the rating. the levels are very hard, even on easy which means you ARE going to die. At times I felt like this is what the jazz 2 campaign should have been like. The music is well choicen and so are the bosses, being one of the few packs to use rocket turtle. Overall, the gameplay sucks you in and never lets you go. you are compelled to keep playing, just to find out what happens and to just keep having fun.
10/10
Enemy Placement
While at times the enemy placement can be evil, there well choicen and the placement is great. They are put is strategic locations and there are lots of them. This was one of the few campaigns to give me a continue screen. Sometimes the enemies are evil and are hidden, but that hardly matters as it means you can’t rush through. You have to think and be careful of where you step. Great Enemy placement!
10/10
Pickup Placement
Great AGAIN. Ammo can be a little scarce at times, but the placement is great as it means you can’t weapon spam and it makes you think at times, where and when am I going to use my ammo. Coins are hidden well adding to the replay and the food was great too, only giving you a sugar rush every3 levels or so. The gem thing was a nice touch but some of them you have to be suicidal to get. There are few powerups and they are hard to find and get to. Great placement!
10/10

Final Score:50/50
Score: 10
Rank: S
DR? this is easily one of the best packs on J2o and you would have to be an idiot with AIDS not to download right now! Play, and never regret it.

Simply put, this is one of the best single player packs ever released, and Mike’s best one so far. I’m in fact, still a huge fan of Jazz2 SP and I kind of dislike crate puzzles that have been overused in it. This pack has got some other puzzle/search twists I really like. Nothing = perfect, but just like Blade, Mike deserves my 10 for hard work!

Great level pack, although I was disappointed to be honest. I liked the others better. I had a lot of fun playing through this pack, and although it was slightly challenging (I played through on medium) it was way too easy overall. Not what I’ve come to expect from the other episodes, in other words.

I like this episodes, but I must said, that this pack it not good as another.
First, in levels there are more poverty: smaller levels (whare are gigantic tempels, colossal ships?), and schematic maps. Example: beging was cool, because there were nice ideas like catching floating lizards, swiming in underwater river… but rest was boring. Enemies, dialogues, enemies. Well, I think that author should make more surrealistic scenery in Haunted mine. I was realy intrestet and fun about that. Also little scared – but there was enemies. Bad idea. I think, there should be one big labirytnh with traps, but NO ENEMIES!! I hate schemas.
Storyline was in average level. It was no bad – becasue this is only part of well-made 3 episodes. But he use something (that i love), things from game (Eva’s ring), not from thousands imagined artifacts and thing. It realy makes attractiv. So, try to use items from game! I love this ecletic style.
And tilesets… there was some orginal choice like carrotus with this beaiful sky. But this “bricks” were boirng. Plus jungle between ths two. Crazy idea :).
To sum up all, this pack is (sorry)not well as other parts. But it’s better than other in J2O. I hope, part nr 5 will be: collosal, orginal (like rest) with nice intro. :)

If I really tried I could beat it on normal difficulty without losing health. Everything is so logically placed I only lost health or died because I either did something stupid, or didn’t consider what might be ahead. Not to say it’s by any means easy, not even close.

Great job Mike, you left me wanting more. Release episode 5 soon!
