MASKING: To be honest, masking just sucks. Few objects are masked awfully,
for example the small column and Dopefish. Also, the mask messages are looking like a job of n00b. Plus, vines are too thick to move on them.
Pros: Feweral.
Cons: Miserable.

ANIMATION: There is NO any animation here, despite the ugly destruct blocks.
I cannot explain how it sucks ;\

COLOR: This tileset has totally messed up palette. While Jazz works slightest,
everything other is rather light than
dark. Suckers are yellow, RF missiles are yellow also, as well Spaz and Lori.
It seems like author was concepted mostly on Jazz (biasing).
Tileset contains also textured BG -
which is not used in example level because it just looks awful.
Plus, Dopefish image has used pure black color (0,0,0) which Jazz uses as
invisible. Thus, Dopefish hasn’t anything black.
Pros: It’s not that bad.
Cons: WAAAAAY too many problems. Rating: 2

OVERALL : This tileset is helluva rushed job, with offers awful palette
edits, besides Jazz. I have no idea
how someone can use it, as it’s simply
unfinished. My tips are to read stuff at www.jazz2online.com/tilesets (I doubt you were there already)

Mods usually include brand new environments, new guns, new enemies (Schwarzenguard in JJ2 style… yum!), and, of course, new levels. None of them are here. And I don’t want to backup tons of files only for bugful mod which includes only new music, new JCS.ini. At least listservers aren’t shown separately.

Yes. It’s a good thing to please people to make them upload your very own level. Nothing better than it.

‘Spastic Society’ uses one of Pokemon tilesets which went uploaded with this pack. Tileset use is very, very bad. Layer 8 constains pure bricky BG, layer 7 flipped STOP signs, layer 6 has falling Voltrobs which makes my eyes hurts (Not because they shoot thunders or something.) On foreground, you can glance at poorly made ‘*censored*y Mo’ sign made of inferior Voltrobs’ versions (I don’t meme their name). Awful. Are you female or something?

Pros : It HAS background.
Cons : It HAS awful stuff.

Actually, there’s no gameplay here. No flow, no anything… only narrow room. Perfectly BAD.

Pros : Walls.
Cons : Too less of walls.

As you might know, Frostbiter and TNT are worst MP weapons. Author seems to didn’t know about it. Level is filled with freezer ammo and TNT, regenerating in something about 3 seconds or something. And some Freezer PUs.

Pros : Ammo.
Cons : WRONG ammo.

Compared to NOKA’s gr8 Diamondus conversion, this is cigarettes’ smoke. DODONGO DISLIKES SMOKE.

Besides the holes in ground and bunches of pine trees, there is NOT any part of eyecandy anywhere. Just some trees, ugly waterfall animation, and no background layers eyecandy except for mentioned before trees. Textured bg has no color. Is this good? No. It is smoke.
Pro : No tilebugs this time.
Con : Drab.

No events except for End Of Levelevent.

Should I Yay?

YaY!

Pro : End of level signpost is.
Con : There is no spoon.

As we know that tiny amount of events don’t make level bad (QoB, for example), but THIS is just carrying things so far. You start level with faling on trees, going straight right, right, right and right to reach the exit… imagine that.

Pro : No.
Con : YaY!

Overall: YaY 1.0
If you tried to see what you can build with level, so why in cold day in heck you upload it? I see no reason.

Also, note for you, Olsen : don’t make singleplayer levels, because we all see they’re ruining your average rating. Make more battles and use beta testers. Ask for help at JCF.

Fifty Feeds Later – all ammo that you need!

It seems to have less bugs than previous version (while I didn’t notice any bugs in there), but some things… urgh >(

TILESET / TILESET USE

This level uses 7th Lava Fall by Dethman, which was used in FFL ][‘s prequel. But the eyecandy in | was WAY better and less annoying. Translucent lavafalls are scrolling down too fast; with them the gaps between fences just seems to be a tilebug; and the metal bar in foreground is just (derbu edit).
Also, on pos 66, 48 is just a tilebug, and I’m not sure that was it on prequel.

PRO : WAT pro?
CON : Annoying foreground, ugly lavafalls; eyecandy seems to be more n00bish than prequel.

TILESET / TILESET USE = 21/33 negatives

GAMEPLAY

Gameplay really helps out this level. Sometimes you can’t see where opposite is, but it don’t mean that there’s lot of places to camp; most of hidden passages are directly on way where players are mostly moving. Also flow is good. No tunnels, and you don’t have to super-jump much in here. But some FloatUp-s could help out the flow. Level isn’t platformy or linear, that’s good. Wierd thing is that FFL is mostly

l level. It’s fun when you suddenly fall out of ledge to l000ng way down to bottom of level.

EVENTING

As I have said as in FFL |, as in beginning of review, this level has plenty of plenty of plenty of etc. ammo.
That’s not too bad, but overusing also isn’t good. And there’s carrot BARREL in this level, along with gun BARREL. Haven’t you noticed thing that Lurk posted : “Barrels in MP regenerates immediately, no matter how speed the are regenerating”. Hmm.. bad.

PRO : Ammo quantity is balancing on overboard border (not too much)
CON : Barrelz :(

EVENTING = 5/33 negatives

This level would be cool if it will be very first level for very first platform game ever. Unfortunately, it isn’t. It is a crap ripoff. If you are good in avoiding, you can do it for Devan in 26.2 sec., and then, show your 1337 skillz and defeat him in a crap arena where you really will need a carrot. If you are lucky enough, you’ll find a “secret” stash with ammo and then finish these skeletons off. Don’t you think that the seekers AREN’T needed? Anyway, placement of other stuff is also crap. Lots of skeletons, scarce ammo and then lots of Full NRGs in Devan area. Eyecandy also sucks, but at least you used a bit of layer 3. Oh well. Overall, this level is nothing but 0 with all of this not-so-c00l stuff. I feel so honest, causing a 10 rating fall to… lower. Kekekeke.

Enjoyable.

TILESET/EYECANDY

Level (you guessed it) uses Jungle (2) Tileset by Nick Stadler or whoever. BG is stolen from standard Jungle 2 Level. It looks nice though. But layer 4 isn’t so rich in case of eyecandy. Add more plants (too less of ‘em), it’ll looks better. Like real jungle.

PROS : Nice BG (although stolen), no tilebugs

CONS : Too less of it on layer 4

GAMEPLAY

Aww, it is nice. Jazz and Spaz has a brand other ways, a maze, and other. And some funny stuff like “destroy correct crate”. They’re and they would be fun forever (I placed a TNT nearby of ‘em and they blow up. Wow, I’m so snare). I guess that they would meet somewhere (Jazz & Spaz), but I’m too lazy to look. And of course a boss at end. Bilsy has a too narrow arena, and ALL of the blocks under him should be stompable (to make it a bit of challenge). I bet him easily ‘coz he’s easy as heck when you found out this buttstomp trick (When you’re floating in air before buttstomping, any bullet can’t hurt you – Bilsy’s fireballs also).

PROS : Awesome gameplay, not boring
CONS : Bilsy has tiny arena

Hmm. Placement of goodies is good. Not too much, and they’re fitting to Jungle level (fruits instead of meat and cakes). There’s a bit too many of ammo, as well of foes. They’re all in original places, but they’re a bit overused. O, a coin warp. But it’s a weird thing that when playing Jazz I get 21 coins, while Spaz get ‘em just 15. Hmm. Maybe I’m lazy to finding secrets, or it’s just Jazz biasing. I don’t know exactly.

PROS : Good placed and fitting food

CONS : Overused ammo and foes

MISC. STUFF

Level is a mediocre in case of length. It’s not too big and not too small. Good. Spaz starts level in a dark room, while Jazz isn’t. He should. There’s not much of a different changes like other music, or something. It’s nice though. O, a water. But it’s appear for just few seconds. I think that it’s useless in this level, but there’s nothing wrong with placing it. And you misspelled Doodle. Lol.

PROS : Water, level’s not too short

CONS :Jazz starts with completely light unlike Spaz, all things are basic, misspelled name

Okay, without boring speaking, I’ll go onto review.

EYECANDY
This yux0riffic layer 6 bug is now changed. How nice. Although, tilebugs in layer 4 exist. How boo. Many cavern tiles used. But you should use Environment/Lighting/Set Light event to make it the real dark cavern. The bustable carrot at beginning should be hanging from ground above rabbit, not growing from ground below rabbit. After shooting this Yummy Vitamin C resource obstacle some orange thingies stays in ground. You know tile under last bustable tile…

PROS : Major layer 6th bug removed, caves
CONS : Layer 4 tilebugs
If tilebugs from fourth layer will removed, I’ll raise rating.

GAMEPLAY
Beep. Level is a sort of short. While it’s long to finish it at all, level is small. And it’s Spaz bIased as Dx writed. But not so bIased as in previous version of level.
Level includes a funny stuff, like the rollercoaster maze (enter cavern) and annoying Froggymnastik. However, I quickly passed over the springs there ‘coz I train in my old lev Toad Trouble. Yeah, it was challenge (did you know that frogs can slowly fly?). But back into topic, it’s a bit too less of ‘em.

PROS : Underused thingies, Spaz bIasing reduced
CONS : Small

EVENTING
Nice. At beginning where rabbit must get hurt to go, there’s a carrot nearby. Also good food and gems placed. However, there’s not too much of them. But ammo is a other thing. Yay, nearby beginning, there’s a Bouncer Powerup and Bouncer Crate (with 15 bullets more, but they’re not bullets as Jazz may trag). AARG. And boss is too easy with all this munitions. Nearby arena there’s a 20$ coin warp with many food and… you guessed it, bullets >p
Baddies – many. Mainly Tuffs and Lizards, but also Dragons and Bats. They doesn’t fits together too much, unfortunately.

PROS : Plenty of ammo and carrots, good enemy placed
CONS : Too less of food and gems, easy boss (Schwarzenguard)
++1 point (wee, a full point added)++

TILESET AND IT’S STUFF
Carrottus. Day. It’s, as far as I know probably ninth or eighth level using Carrotus Day from December to today. Music – carrotus.j2b. Don’t you think that time for some differents is comed? Replace music with some funky stuff, type for funck-2.mod. Yayayayay. And use Carrottus 1 Night. Yea, I know that their animations doesn’t fit as well, but it shouldn’t be a problem.

PROS : Ow.
CONS : Ow ow ow.
=NOPE=

Overall for Wadledee’s Carrotusland -> 6 – 0.5 + 0.5 + 1 – 1 = 6

Eyecandy is a sort of good. Mega Megatropolis is a VERY limiting tileset in case of eyecandy. LOL Disguise. Some things would have been nice (yay, first time I agree with LaB). The color of BG doesn’t match with the lighting in level.

Gameplay isn’t so nice. The flow makes it. Yes, that is a sux0r part of level. And not too much fun factor in it. Yep, I just didn’t like this level. But the layout is ok, though.

Placement is rather bad. Blue Team is a sort of biased ‘coz the Super Carrot and RF Powerups. Blur has right. However, ammo placement is very good. Generally it’s a sort of average. You know : This bad and this good. Effect : 0 points.

Yep, lava’s hot, we all know found out it in Hot as Well… :P

Eyecandy shocked me. It is really strong point of level, but it’s A BIT boring. This black BG from Fifty Feeds Laterstill is black. The second lava generator, on bottom, looks great with these 1ups.

Gameplay is very nice, many of springs, and sometimes you must have a fall down, and you don’t know where you’ll fall. Maybe on the ammo box.. or on head of enemy sniper. But no sucky tubes. And no bugs also.

Placement of events is good, very good. Ammo is placed on original places, Full Energy Carrot placed in middle of level. Not too much powerups like in FFL. Generally, good. BUT, WAIT! HERE’S A THING THAT WE SHOULD TALK ABOUT IT!!

Shield?! Oh, shi… eld! It ruins the gameplay! However, it’s some tricky to get the Fire Shield. Get the EB and shoot it at wall. It should fly through wall and destroy the shield. But there still is a shield, tricky or not tricky to get. BAD DX.
—1 point get killed by Agent Cooba when he’s using this sucky shield—

The only original thing is that shield trick, everything other isn’t so original. I’m saying about items that you CAN get.
Music – Ctrl.Alt.Terminate (Ctrl_alt.xm) fits as well. Hahaha.

Eyecandy is basic, but looks good. However, you should use something different. Look for Blur’s “Green Vine Forest”. The rain is repetitive. And this blue spring which allows blue player to leave red zone is disguised by layer 3. And it looks UGLY.

Size – 256×64, which just 1/6 is used. Level is really for 4 players or more, or it’ll be B°ring. Events are placed average. Red Base looks like hanging in air. Ammo is scarce, but it’s enough for 4 players. Generally, average.

Tileset – Agama’s Swamps Evening. Oh yep, Spazie has written about it. It’s not used very well, but it’s your 1ste level with it. But music… spews … yuck. I think that the “Hell freezes over” (freeze.j2b) should be here instead of this.. spews again

Fist of all : IT IS NOT BEACH, BUT CARROTTUS. Blah Carrottus.

Eyecandy isn’t worst, but it’s bad though. The Carrottus 1 tileset maybe is a bit hard, but there’s a lot lot of a tilebugs. Use Layer 5 or 3. BG Textured. But no 7/6 layers used.

Hmm, this race is pretty long. Every lap is a long routes connected by warps.
I’ll write about all of ‘em :

I. Standard route with ups and downs, with a looong jump challenge, and with carrot field. Unfortunately, I’ve fall between two of them with Spaz and I’ve problem with getting out. But I finally escaped from there. If Spaz has a trouble with jumping, it means that Jazz can’t jump over it :P
II. A way down with warps teleporting to top of this falltrack.
III. Springy way with a TNT and many walls (bustable).
IV. Way downstairs with the same obstacles as in II, but ended with some poles, and pumpkins supposed to be a object on which player must lands when jumps.
V. The carrot maze.
VI. Long road with ammo and funny letters below.

Original. But after third lap slowly gets boring.

~~MISC.STUFF~~
Tileset use : Author used Carrottus even good, but the eyecandy is terrible.
Carrottus is OVERUSED.Don’t use overused tilesets.
Music : Fast Track (fastrack.j2b). Fits. But nothing new.
Biasing : With these moment with huge carrots, Spaz is biased.

AARGH Battle AAAARGH!

Eyecandy is strange. This fence makes it. And, these black pixels moves along red cloud. But it’s Dethman’s fault. Mystic Legends LOLOL. Layer 4 is used very well. Some stars should be on sky, though.

Ouch. Map is a bit too small. However, if you want to host the InstaGib, this level is ideal. Placement of goodies, items, objects, boosters stuff is above average. Fifty Feeds Later – all of ammo that you need!. But back into topic, it’s a bit too much powerups. It’s good having the all of ammo types and using ‘em on small battlefield. And coin warp. They makes level more good ~DX :D Generally, good.

Gameplay : Ouch. It’s good for duel, but not for 4playered match. ICK. As I’ve said, small. Good or bad for Instant Gib, it still small room.

Eyecandy is fairly good. These ground-like tiles in background, the color of the TXTured BG, and layer 3 used not only for secrets. I’ve not see tilebugs. Well done.

Next’s gameplay. Yep, it’s too small. But there are two alternate routes to opponent’s base. It’ll be ideal for InstaGib, when hosted for Battle. Every CTF can be Battle, any Battle can’t be CTF. It is supposed to be a duel CTF, I think.

Placements of objects, goodies, items, and generally events : Wow. Any team isn’t biased. The ammo is placed in the central point of level. And bases are placed at bottom, on two opposite ends of corridoor. No shields. But also no coin warp. Next time place a coin wrap they make level more good ~Dx. Hahah. He has right. Placement is generally above average, though.

And tileset use/music/other stuff that makes levels rox0r: Level uses Disguise’s Space Warbase tileset. Use of it ruxored. Really. Music – orion.xm- adds a gloomy mood for this level. chills. This OSTMLR or whatever : aargh, nope. These are stuff that makes levels non-rox0r. And these are:
