What kind of occasion is it to upload a level nearly in the same time with so similar genre than an another level? Accident or purposal? I think the last.

What the hell is this? I’m sorry, we’re not supposed to be negative. But seriously, what the hell is this. By “this”, I am reffering to the remix name. Perhaps you wanted to achieve the greatest misnomer in remix history, in which case you succeded.

One does not simply make the music horribly loud, toss in something resembling an electric gutair and remove the iconic voice that made the original so damn awesome and call it “improved”.

The great boss music get’s its life sucked out of it by this remix. It’s that terrible. It nearly made me want to hate the original music for all eternity.

And whats up with the drums? The drums force the lead gutair (which is what does the actual song) into the backseat they’re that loud.

Even worse somewhere after the 30 second mark for about 10 seconds the song slows down nearly grinding to a halt.

Don’t get me started on having to turn the volume down from a suitable 100 (to which I listened to Eggman’s remix yesterday) to an 8. That was the maximum volume to could be without pounding my ears. And I was wearing normal style headphones. It’s nightmarish to think how it would have been listening to this at 100 unknowingly, while wearing earbuds.

Download recommendation?
No, instead I recommend hitting the back button and never return to this page ever again. Especially when theres a truly improved boss remix here
done by Lark. It does everything this remix tries to do but with one twist- Lark’s remake is highly superior and sounds great.

As much as I like the tune, I can’t help but feel it’s just a sample change. It doesn’t have the feel of freshness the original Castle Funk remix had, nor the uniqueness/awesomeness of it’s succesors.

It’s excellent for listening, and for playing, but it just doesn’t bring anything new to the plate.

DR- Yeah, it’s sounds excellent, but compared to your other tunes, this one falls short.

EDIT @Crimi- I like it, but I also like the JJ2 Diamondus tune. There’s just little difference between the two for me to rate it high.

Danyjel: Funny you be hippocritical yet again. You’re not going to change your genre, yet you expect others to. In your review of Aegis’ metal cover of Sluggion you said to replace the bass with an Electric Flute.

I don’t know how things are in A-hole land, but around here ELECTRIC FLUTE IS NOT METAL.

I actually tried something like that (Open the level up in the JCS to see the remains of the idea), but it didn’t work out as cool as I hoped.

The “Normal” version of this pack was an attrocious exercise in futility, with terrible eyecandy, design, and event layout. In fact, the only thing it had going for it was the at-times funny, but mostly annoying intercom system esque text. This version axes that aspect completely, which means that the pack has to survive on it’s other “qualities”(if they can be called such).

The level design hasn’t changed much, however the pit now has exit-warps. In fact that’s most notable change. Every other change is the addition of enemies off the wazoo.

Instead of a normal sucky level, we now have an attrocious heap of filth that’s sure to destroy your spacebar (Winner’s Hint: Play as spaz and just sidekick/buttstomp to save on keyboards). Excellent. And by Excellent, I mean “Not Excellent”.

Finally, the Boss Arena is still bland, and instead of an incredibly easy lame boss battle with Bilsy, it’s just lame. Oh, and the Eyecandy is still lame has heck.

No DR. With no more intercom, and twice as many chances to kill a spacebar, I see no reason why anyone should download this version.

At about 1:25 inward, the song is too groovy for words.

However it takes a while to go faster, and to be honest actually feels slower than the other funk remixes.
However, the song is reconizable throughout which is something missing from the Hell Freezes Over remix, also you finally got the ending thing down-pat.

All I can say, is that with these groovy remixes, you deserve that week long holiday.

First off, let me begin by saying, immense improvement on the ending. Unlike Castle Funk, this remix doesn’t grind to a screeching halt at the end, it just gradually slows itself down.
You are much better at producing Funk music than rock, which seems immensly ironic. In fact this song feels so perfect, the only things I thinka re wrong with it are that’s it’s a bit too hard to tell it’s “Hell Freezes Over” at times, and sometime the samples feel a bit too loud for my liking.

Keep it up, Download reccomended

Oh, hellz yes. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this level. Even my pet loves this level!

But why is it so good? Let’s check the facts people:

First of all, the level design is amazing. I really felt like I was exploring a Pikachu City. I stood in awe at the Giant Pikachu Statue, I was msytified by the mysterious Burger Pyramid, and I chatted it up at the Market place. Toss out QoB, THIS is how to make an amazing level design, folks!

Next, the placement is very innovative. Everything is placed in stores ran by Pikachus. But that’s not the innovative part. Here’s the innovative part: There’s even a secret store only accesible by Jet boards. Looks like those Frequent Flyer Miles paid off!

Finally, this Hotel is amazing. It can be played as battle, or can be used to role play a typical day in a pokemon music. Both experiences are enhanced by the grand music selection.

Good Work Donda, Download Reccomended

EDIT- Help me, I am being oppressed. Please fight for people’s real opinions not false ones.

Please also don’t take what was said in my edit seriously.

This remix is very superb, however I dislike the speedy opening, which intially turned me off about this remix. This feeling changed a little ways in when the song’s pacing slows a bit. FearofDark has not only managed into turning Castle into a considerabbly good Funk tune, he has also managed to add in an electric gutair solo. The remix sounds and feels brillaint except for one other gripe I have with the remix: The ending. It’s far too slow, especially when compared to the speedy opening. Otherwise, good job on capturing the funk spirit.

Can you get someone else OTHER than yourself to beta test it?

If you won’t even take that piece of advice I seriously don’t see you improving, and I honestly am getting tired of mediocre pack after medicore pack.

EDIT- Ischa has been releasing TSF levels for over 4 months now. You two are incredibly late in noticing that these packs are in 1.24.

This level is obviously inspired by the BULOTW winner, and is also par of a new wave of JJ2 levels. By new wave I mean “A kind of level-style I’ve done 3 times before that everyone is posering thanks to BULOTW”.
It’s a bad level that knows it’s only a bad level, and that it’s purpose. It’s entertaining because you know it’s just going to get worse.
While there are some dead giveaways this level is truly just a spoof of bad levels, it doe sget the feeling just right especially with it’s text messages that feel like a parody of a certain level that used the Medivo tileset.
Theres also various pointers that it was largely inspired by the latest winner of BULOTW (The sparkles in the BG are a dead giveaway)
Quite honestly, this level is terrible but is actually fun because of the humour factor.

DR?- Yes, but expect to only play it once.

The unused menu music was to be used in the Episode select screen. I think Jaz30 is an unfinished menu music for either Multiplayer menus, or the same purpose.
