I’m still rather pissed off about the hatemail, but you people should realize that that doesn’t affect this rating. Either way, this levelpack had some key features for singleplayer, eyecandy, enemy placement, ammo placement. The thing that brings your score down painfully is your lack of creativity! I mean, we’re in a dream world, shouldn’t anything be possible?

JJ2 logos falling down, randomly falling out of dreams into senseless puzzles.
I know this will sound very contradictory, but your levelpack made too much sense!

Even though you didn’t do a swell job on this levelpack, thanks to the dream theme, if you make another, make it like this! (No death pits, though)

The only setback you had was your dream storyline. I’m sure I would’ve given this a 7.5, at least, if this was in a regular setting.

I’m reviewing this on behalf of the review exchange.

First of all, I really enjoy levels of uncommon gametypes. This pack only had one, but it’s one of the best assault levels I’ve ever seen. It was well thought out, however I think you could’ve used more things accessable from your base, like buyable teleport spheres or something. Overall, this is a great original level.

Because the above level was the only unique level in the pack, I will be reviewing the other levels in general.
These levels have pretty well developed eyecandy. You used some very original ideas here, such as translucent hiding spots and corridors, and the slightly less original turrets. This made gameplay fun and strategic. I found the CTF levels in specific were very evenly matched between red and blue. In the CTF levels however, I noticed less originality was used. This is made up for in eyecandy however, as you used your tilesets to some of their highest potential.

I suggest that any multiplayer fan should download this, as it offers a wide variety of levels many people will enjoy!

Originality – 9

Eyecandy – 8.5

Gameplay – 8.5

FINAL GRADE – 8.7

You have a high quality pack here!

Well, I already knew that. Congratz though, since you seemed to figure it out on your own as well. I personally never use it as fog, but instead ‘fire’ and change the red all the way to five.

Wow! This tileset simply blew me away!
Here’s your stats, since I bothered to put them here:

Eyecandy:

Beautiful! All the tiles fit together, various landscapes to use, and best of all, it feels like your really there!

Useability:

Could prove some challenge for a beginner to use well in a level, but to someone who knows the field, this is a tileset of mass awesomeness.

Creativity:

Honestly, not that bad. Though I’ve seen more creative tilesets than this, your use of every-day tiles was amazing!

All-Around:

This tileset has everything, in a unique and interesting way! Chain hooks and vines, broken walls, and multiple kinds of background make this a tileset for the win!

I hope this gets as high a rating as I give it. 9.7 My man!

This level is probably only getting a high rating from others because of its eyecandy and its “Brand name”.
The puzzles didn’t fit into the environment, the levels didn’t connect that well, and the storyline was crap.
I mean, come on. Blocks? Any newbie level maker with any sense of triggers can use those. Am I the only one who realizes this?

This was a sad attempt at
“One great level”.

Not much eyecandy in any of the layers.
(Since only 2, 4 & 8 were used.)
No pickups of any real point, such as ammo. only gems, which are COMPLETELY useless were used. No interesting puzzles, no monsters, no CHALLENGES except for dodging some flame.

I did however find the idea of a time limit quite interesting. Not much else though.

The music and tileset don’t show any problems. There wasn’t an incredible amount of tilebugs in the level, but eyecandy was almost minimal. Music was fine.

COMMENTS:

I’m sure not downloading the rest of the pack.

I’d rather just download the music.

THIS REVIEW IS PART OF REVIEW EXCHANGE.

This is definately an above average level. Although nothing very original was seen in this pack, it’s very rare to see that in any battle level.

The ammo placement was a bit off. Next time, place the ammo so you can’t be anywhere in the level without seeing it, but still cannot see more than 18 pieces of anything at a time.

(With the exception of ammo boxes.)

The gameplay was excellent, except for one skinny area between walls. You used the tileset very well.

I hope your next level is even better!

White Rabbit, your an awesome who makes awesome levels.

So many things like a huge swimming pool and roomy chatroom make this hotel one of the best ever.

Creativity was impossible not to see!

An icecream factory, rollercoasters, battle stores, and cool looking rooms…

It was everywhere!

You have inspired me to make a hotel of my own.

Here it is!

I’m a crazy person.

No I mean REALLY CRAZY.

I did it on hard three days after it came out!

You are awesome Evilmike.

And I am crazy.

Now for the REVIEW portion of this post! Heh.

This was defenitely “The Best Of The Trilogy” As it went very heavily on the saving the world bit and less on the save my home bit. The storyline made you want to continue on through the levels no matter how frustrating they were and build up to an interesting cutscene.

This statement emphasizes on your mission briefing idea. The words just typed themselves out as if the computer you see is what Jazz is seeing as if in your body.

No levels were disconnected. The whole story just began to flow after the first cutscene.

The eyecandy is no less amazing than it was in The Rebirth Of Evil or the original of which the name of it surpasses me.

The gameplay – Still awesome.

I can’t wait for the sequel… To the sequel… To the sequel…

To the original level pack of which the name of it surpasses me.

It’s a bunch of short, repetetive levels with no actual cutscenes or original gameplay.

Eyecandy: Repetetive! This bugs me.

Gameplay: Nothing original. Boooring.

Placement: Not bad, I suppose.

Ideas: Blech.

Story: Real bad. Some levels don’t connect. Such as the video arcade whatever. Quite questionable.

Puzzles: None really. If any, so outdone I didn’t notice

Overall: Blech

Download: If you like doing similar things oooover and oooover again.

Hehehehe. This is a joke.

I’ve made, what, fifteen levels? One of them is a hotel. ALL of them are better than this.

Use a better tileset, play around with the level.

IMAGINE THIS IS THE LAST JJ2 LEVEL ON EARTH.
DON’T BLOW IT.

Im not trying to say that your totally wrong, but the reason for so many tunnels was so that people would have to crawl through them in unsuspecting routes to try to get to the other teams base. Note also, this level can also be played as capture the flag, but the CTF flag is in multiplayer mode only.

PS: Very true EvilMike. It’s my first CTF level.
