A very nice looking level with the right music (a bit out of place at this time of year, but no matter).
It really brought me back in the Christmas mood.
Good: Layout, music, enemy placement, secrets.
Bad: Unfinished walls and layer 5 stuff, The completely WRONG boss to end a christmas level with… It was totally NON-FITTING to place the bolly boss at the end of this level…
There were also a bit too many springs in some secrets to my liking.
This level gets a download recommendation from me… So go download now everyone :)[This review has been edited by BlackDeath]
The levels have a lot of bugs in them and for some reason I could only load them directly through jcs and had no music (even though 3 files (1 tileset and 2 music) were included.
Anyway, there is too much emptyness in the Crysilis level, some masking bugs.
In the tubelectric level there are unfinished walls and platforms and in the desert level you have used the “unfixed” jazz2 added tileset, which has masking bugs.
The description says it all,
nice layout with a lot of warps, this level looks nice, but is bad for actual battle (when i tested it that is :))
“Winamp, it really kicks the lama’s ass”
Allright here are a few bugs you made in the upload and zip:
There is no music included or no music at all, there is no description of the level here and the level was ‘hidden in homecooked levels’ you could fix that in your next upload, maybe it will do good on my rating :)
Now for the level itself: It makes me think of something I played a little while ago, which is good. Also it seems you have practiced with JCS Stiletto :)
Nice level, Lori-unfriendly though and all ammo immediatly respawns when you pick it up, which is a bit too fast if you ask me…
I didnt read the readmenot so I assume its ok.
If you fix the little bugs in everything I might review again with a higher rating (HINT HINT)
Kjazz you copied my review! Just quote next time itll be easier :)
Just became Top reviewer and Aiko is quoting me already :-)
This level looks bad, has a strange bug in which every platform dissapears when walking and has unoriginal looks and a warp back to start at the bottom.
I think the creator should practice a bit more in jcs before making levels…
A level that fits its description :).
I dont really find the name original (:)), but its a training level using the cool day and night tileset. I did not succeed in finding any difference in the levels though exept for maybe a different tileset, but still. A pretty nice looking and playing level.
Hey, you posted this level here… heh.
I have seen this one in action and there is unfortunatly one spot where you can camp and kill all people really easily, but besides that its a funny level to play.
DOwnload this folks :)
The vikings are back!
This time Erik, Olaf and Baleog (and all their enemies and levels) enter the world of jazz.
Great tileset, many variations, lots of anims, possibilities and more. It has my recommendation for a download!
Plus I happen to like the Lost Vikings and have been planning to try and make a set with it myself :)
Time for a 10 again.
This one deserves it, read all of the above if you do not believe me :)
Buster I have to say I disagree and to avoid a discussion Ill keep this short.
If you upload a level to j2o you will get it rated and if the level is bad, no matter how long you are using jcs or the howmaniest level it is.
It should be that way and it should stay that way.
If you are not yet experienced then dont upload yet.
First of all, the level’s size is only because of so much emptyness in it.
Second, this level is in carrotus and since there are so many carrotus levels that you have to make a special one to make it worth the download and this level is not at all impressive, its below average even. So I have to give it a 5.
Nice to upload it here, yes it is on Jazz 2 city, but jazz 2 city is dead and this place isnt, so its a great idea.

The idea to this level is ok and all, but it ‘feels’ small and it lacks variation. The only guns and ammo are toaster and bouncer.
The levels are hardly different and the only thing I could find was that one has digonigal islands and the other horizontal and verticle islands.
Im afraid I cannot give this any more than a 6.
The background is bad, wrong tiles are used as paralaxing (written right???) and the level ‘feels’ too small.
Also, the second (ctf) level doesnt much differ from the battle version, exept for two ctf bases of course…
Thats what they all say, and personally I think Stiletto has no right of speech, but thats not the matter here :)
Because Im so very nice, ill give this a 6.
The tileset is ok for a first tileset, but it has few tiles and no anims and thus you should make a bigger one next time Chaos.
The level indeed looks nice and features a lot of interesting layerwork, but the layerwork takes away visibility and movement possibilities, which makes it harder to do actual battle in this level and battle is what its made for…
The music is nice, but the name of this music always reminds me of the Bugworld screensaver (playable, if you find it then get it, it rocks).
