I don’t like this level too much. It’s very small for a race level, and it’s hard to navigate. It’s still good, though.

What can I say? Your levels are awesome. Absolutely wonderful.

Eyecandy: Very good
The eycandy is very good this time. There are 3 spots where it could’ve been better. One, is that when you shoot a knight’s head off, you see the brick background crumple down with it. The first tile in a animating tile is the original state. The second is what is there after you shoot it, and the third is what it looks like while it’s breaking. You put the knight with the bricks in the background for the third one, so it looked funny. There is a vine (rope) that doesn’t go all the way from one wall to another. It needed to be one tile longer. The last one I don’t remember :-p No, really, I forgot. :p

Enemy placement: Good / Very good
The enemy placement is good, but it was sort of easy.

Gameplay: Very good
Very nice gameplay, I had a lot of fun.

Bugs: N/A
No bugs :)

Ammo placement: Good
The ammo placement was good, but you stuck in too many weapon powerups. You shouldn’t do this, especially if it’s a short single level. There were 2 bouncy powerups and a freezer powerup that I found. 1 bouncy powerup would’ve done, if any at all.

Fun / replay value: Very Good
This was a fun 5 or 10 minutes and I might play this level again some time.

You should definetely download this. Just because you don’t know the author well doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give his levels a chance. Nobody downloaded my first levels, but now that people are familiar with me more, they download them and review them more.

Hey, you should make a battle or CTF level. People like downloading them more, and with your amazing level design skill, I bet people would host them.

I think Evil Mike, the master of level making, has some competition rolling in.

This is just as bad as your other levels. What the heck are you getting at, man, Levitt Town? (in case you don’t know, Levitt Town were the suburbs in 1950 where all the houses looked exactly the same.) EVERYTHING LOOKS THE SAME! Well, except for the furniure. What kind of hotel is this if it doesn’t have shops? Honestly, how do the people pick what they want in their rooms? Like somebody else said, this makes you wonder about people who play TSF, who would WANT the honor… I mean… despair… of having a room here.

Don’t download this after you just ate lunch :-p

I’ve never played Sonic, and I never intend to, but even so, this looks like it WOULD be a really good conversion. And by the way, Snooz, the tileset being hard to use isn’t Spaztic’s fault. It was a real tileset from another game. So, please don’t take off points for something the author couldn’t help, just like nobody took off points for the tiles in my Jetpack conversion being too big looking (they were originally 24×24 in the game, and I had to resize them, which made them look funny). Anyway, even if you don’t like Sonic, than you should download this. Hey, I’ve never played Sonic, and I may make a level with this.

Download reccomendation, definetely.

This is good but the eyecandy seriously stinks in the background. The tiles don’t go together, and the author stuck in little peices of adjacent tiles and didn’t bother to take them out. The vspeed is messed up so you can see the bottoms of the background. You’d be better off without it. The rest of the level is just fine. Good enemy placement, good ammo placement… good eyecandy in the sprite layer. Download reccomendation, but not for the eyecandy.

Again a battle, again a failure. This is bad. BAD.

Eyecandy: Very bad
There is no eyecandy, all though the author actually made a textured background, which isn’t bad. It uses the newb-level-maker-attracting Mez tileset or whatever it’s called, too.

Gameplay: Very bad
What gameplay?

Weapon placement: Very bad
An RF missle powerup and 3 crates of RF missles in a row.

Everything else that I could’ve written about but levels like this don’t deserve to get ratings for – Very bad.

Put effort into your levels. This level is huge, but just linear, and there is NOTHING… well, SOMETHING. But nothing good.

Edit, I felt too bad giving it a 1, so I gave you 1.5. Merry Christmas, I’m in a good mood. :-p[This review has been edited by labratkid]

This is an average level. It’s kind of small, though. You’d have a heck of a time trying to cram 12 players into here, let alone 4 players. The eyecandy was too much, no offense Violet. There IS a border line with eyecandy. When you start getting background layers confused with the sprite layer, than it’s too much. The eyecandy was very nice, but very intense. The rest of the stuff was kind of so-so. Okay weapons placement, and a good balance of secrets. Download reccomendation, I guess.

What on earth is this? I can’t even explain what it is, the whole game is black and white, and I’m being taught how to do double jumps, yes, double jumps. I skipped about 10 levels later, and it was the same boring black and white stuff. What is this?

I’ll do the pros cons type review.

Pros…
It HAS a background! YAY!
Layer 4 and 8 are not the only ones used…
It’s not linear, but that doesn’t make it good.

Cons: error processing review due to length issues

(in other words, baaaad)

This is but a simple color edit, and there are many good tiles added. Very good tileset, I like it more than the original castle because you can put skies in this one, and other stuff. Download, everyone.

This is a classic get-the-coins-and-than-find-the-seeker-powerup-and-than-beat-everyone-because-of-this-level.
Nothing very original, but this is a nice level anyway…

Eyecandy: Okay
There were no eyecandy bugs, but there was nothing great. There were no foreground layers, and the only background layer used was layer 8. However, where there WAS something to look at, it wasn’t bad at all.

Weapons placement: Very good
Very nice weapons placement. Balanced, too. There aren’t 5 crates in a line like you see in a lot of levels out there, which I’ve all ways hated. The seeker powerup is hard to get, which also balances the level.

Gameplay: Good
The gameplay was nice. The level was easy to get around in, and there are no bugs due to poor masking on the original level, if you want to count that into gameplay.

Bugs: N/A
No bugs, at least I don’t think so.

Originality: N/A
This isn’t original. It has the… well, you know what it has, look at my first sentence. There are too many levels like this… But, oh well. Also, what is the SOFT ROOM? I didn’t understand what that was all about. It was just a little room in the corner of the map and you’re not allowed to kick or buttstomp in it. What’s this?

This is a great level, which improved greatly from it’s original version.

Eyecandy: Good
The eyecandy is good, all though there are a few bugs here and there. For example, you can see the bottom of a street light in the foreground (which has no bottom, due to the making of the tileset). There are a few flaws here and there, but for the most part, the eyecandy is very… interesting, and nice.

Bugs: N/A
I think you should all ways put N/A for this section with the Colonius tileset, because of the many masking bugs with the tileset. So, because of all these bugs that weren’t Scizor’s fault, I’ll say N/A.

Ammo placement: Good
Ammo placement was very nice. There were several secrets with powerups hidden in them, and other places where the ammo was regularly scattered around the level.

Replay/ fun factor: I had a lot of fun testing this with Scizor, and I bet he’ll host it on his server a lot, which is a good thing since it’s a fun and easilly traversable level.

Gameplay: Very good
Gameplay is nice. I’m not all ways too sure what gameplay actually MEANS, but if I have the right idea, it was very nice =)

Well, it’s about time Jazz2online gets a nice level. I haven’t seen a good level around here in a while now, but here we go. This level was quite small, but fun, and it uses a variation of the castle tileset (Castle Eclipse).

Eyecandy – Good
Good eyecandy, all though some parts of it seems kind of funny. The background was nicely don’t, especially how you made it look like you were inside somewhere.

Gameplay – Okay
Gameplay was okay. I felt like I was being bounced around by springs a lot of the time, though, and it has a very confusing layout. Not bad gameplay, though.

Originality – Original, but not original. I don’t know. :-p

Weapon placement – Very good
Nothing wrong here, very nice weapon and ammo placement.

Tileset usage – Good
The author made as good of a castle level as you can make, which isn’t all ways that good since it’s such a basic tileset. The author did a good job, though, and I hope some people host this.

Download reccomendation, and again, somebody host this :-p[This review has been edited by labratkid]
