Maybe because it’s a tileset upload and it’s not about the level at all? ;P
Heh, the fifth Chinese zodiac symbol (under the blue planet) represents “dragon” ;P
Great stuff, lots of possibilities, probably the best JJ2 program yet.
[Rating (10) clearance. Why is the stuff great? What are the possibilites? ~Cooba]
Sir, it’s not about the demo level, it’s about the tileset ;P.

But seriously, this is an awesome “patch”, I immediately replaced my .exe :).
No more need for running extern programs, saves some trouble. Now, you should implement the seekhole fix feature in this .exe and I’ll give it a 10 :P.
I like this level very much, duelled in here (won ;D) and the gameplay is good.
Eyecandy: obviously it has been made with the most default tileset, however its definately worth looking at – the level has most certainly got enough variance of the tileset within it that makes “castle” bareable to look on once again.
Gameplay: this is the best factor of the level, as the gameplay has been tweaked and tweaked for great flow and tactics. The way the whole level is fought upon (in a 1:1 or anything else) with an even amount of time between each section – as the goodies are cleverly spaced out, and there are a lot of heights, corners and dykes. The power ups and ammo have been chosen very wisely – as there are seekers, but no seeker powerup, so clearly you can use this easy and cheap weapon, but it wont do 2 hearts of damage; where as bouncers and the toaster each have a power up – making a lot of bouncers verses flamer action apparent on this level. Finally electro blaster ammo has been put into this level and there are many situations where it can be used very effectively.
To sum up this level: it is very cleverly made – it has a strategic structure, items are placed in great locations and the right ammo and power ups are used; as well as the level being pretty good on eyecandy – i couldn’t see a single tilebug, and the non sprite-layers have been used most effectively to aid the eyecandy. All in all, a fantastic level for the default castle tileset. Keep it up Wrath!
I like it, it’s pretty good. Don’t feel like writing an entire review though.
Oh I don’t even put passwords on them, I always “save as” when I make a new level so they’re probably using passwords from the 1999 or 2000 levels, which I don’t even know myself.
(Apparently illegal software removal? I guess. If it’s not illegal, at least it’s not very nice to hack into passworded levels without getting the permission of the level makers. ~Violet)
Chapter 7: Tropicana Bay (Island.j2t)
Far away, there’s a tropical island in the caribbean called Tropicana Bay. The sun always shines, the coral is terrific and the nature is still intact. Yet, this island isn’t popular with tourists. Hardly a soul ever visits it… The inhabitants of the island are said to have a secret shrine hidden under the beach. Maybe there’s a treasure, or something else of great value to be found here. When pirate captain Scale and his crew went to discover the secret of the inhabitants, they never returned, and nothing has been heard about Tropicana Bay ever since…
Btw Olsen: It’s not an Assault level. It’s a Quest level. I stopped making Assault levels because barely anyone still plays that.[This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
Chapter 1: Save The Sheep! (CE2.j2t)
A traditional type of level with a classical tileset. It takes place in the same city as LoC, but a while later after the coin curse. Fans of LoC will probably recognize a lot of things in this level. Five red sheep of the farmer have ran away. It’s up to you to find them back for him.
Chapter 2: Santa’s Stolen Hats (SantasSnowyZone.j2t)
On top of a hill close to a quiet mountain village, Santa Claus lives. But he’s in big trouble! The evil Fake Santa Claus has stolen his collection of hats! Fake Santa tries everything to prevent christmas from happening. And Santa Claus won’t go anywhere unless he has his hats back. After stealing them, Fake Santa Claus has hid the hats so Real Santa wouldn’t find them back. Please help Santa, find the hats and save christmas!
Chapter 3: The Head Hunter (SanctuaryOfTheVampire.j2t)
You want to win the vampire Henk’s trust by proving him that you would be a good vampire as well. Henk has murdered a lot of people and sucked out their blood. He threw the corpses away in and around his manor. But now he wants to have the heads of people he murdered last night as trophies. If you can find those five heads and bring them to Henk’s chamber, you’ll have earned yourself a new friend! My favorite level of the pack.
Chapter 4: Snowdust: Reloaded (Kool.j2t)
Drangus, the evil villain from the Snowdust Village, has returned, screaming for vengeance. He has used his dark magical powers to create a paralel dimension, called the F-Dimension. He has created one or two portals which connect both dimensions. To make the snowmen pay for what they did to him last time, he has captured five snowmen and is holding them prisoner in his F-Dimension. Help the snowmen; go to the F-Dimension, find the keys of their cells and free the snowmen! Fans of the original Snowdust Village may like this one.
Chapter 5: Grand Casino (PartyCasino.j2t)
This level does not really have a storyline. You’re in the middle of a big casino and in order to get out, you have to pull the levers of five slotmachines which are each in a different room. Each of them has a sort of ‘test’ to reach it. Don’t play this level if you don’t like tests or don’t have enough patience, since it’s slightly different from the previous four.
Btw, If there are any bugs I’ll be glad to hear about them so I can fix them!
Note: The reason why I didn\‘t put any enemies or hurts in the levels was that although they are single player levels, they\‘re mostly hosted on-line so that people can play through the level as a team. :P
Superjazz: Yes, I made all tilesets myself (somehow I’m against making levels with tilesets that aren’t my own), but I didn’t draw the first one totally by myself, the first one consists mostly of ripped things from RPGs.[This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
By the way, the name does suggest it would be a race level, but it’s not a race level. It’s a test level, just like the Balloon Races and the Practice Races. So don’t get the wrong idea, I’ve never created any race levels and I probably never will.
Haha, fun starts printing.
I feel honored to be in it too :)
Although there are a lot of people who I expected to be in it as well.
Nice big tileset. A good last resort :)
I lost interest in making tilesets months ago, but I still want to merge my two last projects into one last tileset..
I’m not even downloading it but I doubt that it’s worth a 9,7…
no time to write a review, but indeed, king of the hill is a sooo old gamemode…
The pass = COW
This level goes like this. You play normal Conquest; 2 up to 4 teams, each with one leader, and if the leader gets killed, the team is out. But because Conquest sometimes takes too long because the leader always runs away when you hit him a few times and heals himself, you can now do something in the meantime. Collect the 4 stars from the base to get a Bouncer powerup, a Seeker powerup, a RF powerup and a Toaster powerup, that will make it easier to achieve the ultimate goal: kill the other 1, 2 or 3 generals and dominate the galaxy. :P
It’s not a new invented game.. This gamemode was invented in early 2000…[This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
It contains a link to the place where you can download the around 2,7 MB pack, Trafton :P
Definately one of the better Disguise tilesets out there. I think you could’ve made the set of (destruct) blocks a bit more original though. The least you could have done is making them in different colors.
Also I think you shouldn’t force people that if they make a level with this tileset, they have to put your name in it (I dunno if that was a joke or not). I like the special blue and red tiles.[This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
