I have no idea why Piccolo keeps up with those annoying reviews, but I wish he’d/she’d stop overrating things. It makes it hard for others to see what it should really be rated.
This one was dislikable, just as the other two were. However, I would have to point out that the Turtemple song WAS slightly better than any of the other previous ones. But it didn’t contribute too much to the pack, and certainly not enough to warrant a dl rec.
Ohh, more of same old! This is I’m sorry to report bad like the others. Especially Muckamuk.I thought it sounded hideous in JJ1!
Still, you could make out the sounds, if only too well. As is with the other Xmas remixes, theonly instruments are air guitar, drums and bells. Not even any work involved, just replacing voices with other sounds. I disliked it, and will give you a 2.0
Paranormalio?! what on earth?
I agree totally with Danyjel, I hated this pack a lot.
The songs were trash. Okay trash, but trash nonetheless. I don’t like cracking down on people, but I gotta ask here “what’s the finking deal!” All the instruments not counting drums are replaced with either the semi-ugly JJ1 guitair or the very-ugly bells. It just doesn’t cut bait with me, and I cannot justify a dl rec. 2.1 sound about right.
This tileset is has some very nice animations.
EYECANDY
This tileset is rather blocky, but has some great animations.
7/10
MASK
The mask is accurate and there are no holes.
9/10
THEME
The tileset looks much like a rainforest, but you could have had a layer 5/6/7 background.
8/10
DIFFICULTY
The tileset is well put together so it’s very easy to use.

Because of your annoying endsong remix i almost hated the original. Don’t do that again.
The drums were changed for only one part. Not much of a differents but the fact it’s too fast making it too short.

Bass and lead could be better… Other is good, I like main background sample.
Weirdly, it has all minuses of MIDI files…
(and they told me converted midi’s weren’t allowed to be rated. :( )
Like in your Chrysillis MIDI, there’s a note-release artifact; this time with the Choir Aahs. (It’s stuck holding till the end.)
Notation is correct, but the strings could use some triad notes under it, just so it sounds accurate.
This deserves an 8.
Instrumentation seems to be correct, though I think a better one could be used than the ones currently set as BASS+LEAD. (MIDI preset 87)
There’s a releasing note-artifact with the Synth String 2’s after it played. (the note is stuck playing and won’t stop until the song stops)
Other than that, all notes are correct, though if you have the time, try tweaking it a little to make it sound a bit closer to the original’s.
The Chiff Lead needs some triads added on top of the notes. (Same note, but played as a chord.) Personally I would say change the instrument to a saw lead. (MIDI preset 81)
You got the rest of the instrumentation right though, but in comparison to the original song, this sounds much more plainer.
Other than that, it’s pretty good. No notation errors whatsoever, it just needs a bit of tweaking and layering, that’s all.
Melody: 9/10
Effort: 10/10
Instrumentation: 8.5/10
I can see you used the Orchestra Hits as an alternative to the low vox in the real song, but if you did up a few complex volume changes with those notes and another instrument, I think you’d get a pretty good effect.
The overall sounding of the MIDI is a bit weak, and probably needs a bit of track layering, and maybe a stronger bass. It’s understandable the guitars in MIDI drivers sound absolute (insert word here) in comparison to real ones. (Let alone VST guitars.)
But for your sake, I’ll rate this an 8 for a good try.
This is a pretty good attempt on recreating the Tubelectric track to MIDI. (This is ESPECIALLY on the plain MS GS Wavetable Synth.)
(Unsupported rating (9) removal. I honestly don’t know if you downloaded the file or not, and if that’s the case, then you have failed as a reviewer. ~Violet)
well, i dont think this song isn’t that great because the beginning is not all that great; it starts out loud which is not what i look 4 in a song. there is not much instrumental variety and cant be played by jj2. i erally enjoyed Dr. Eggman’s remix much better, maybe Acld could learn a thing or two from him.; ]
Like LRK said once, “Yay for overrating”.
Eyecandy : Average
This level has astoundigly dull eyecandy, as compared to other levels with this set, like Zaitox or Beyond the Stars. Those levels might have some minor eyecansy tweaks, but the rest made up for good score. Unfortunately, this level HAS tilebugs, too, but there’s nothing amazing anywhere. The meteors don’t look right with such slow speed, and they don’t suffer from “raining up” effect. Cave background is decent layer 7 use, but sadly it’s not most original thing to put in.
Gameplay : Bad
This level actually has a bit of unused blank space, where could be put something better than a bunch of 1×1 platforms with springs on them. Those definately not add to flow, which is kind of bad anyway. You must take a certain spot to jump at a platform. Not a good thing. This level has a dead end on bottom left, right above start position which could be made without suckertubes anyway.
Ammo and such:
Actually, I can’t really complain about the ammo except for the fact that it’s quite hard to get at certain spots, and there’s Frostbiter. The only powerup is one for Bouncer, approximately good placed, though.
Overall : Average level, nothing more. I would like Acid Psy to stop overrating stuff.
Host this : Nah. Needs work.
Why would you want to spend time converting music into midi? It loses unfairly much quality in the conversation.
Eitherway, to the review. The .MIDI version of Fanolint is quite poor and not really worth listning to. It’s very encored and some of the intruments used to the song scars in your head. Somewhat, the original is better than the conversation, and I recom you not downloading this file.
this tileset is really good i think!
eyecandy:7/10

Very nice conversion here, great job on the guitar part. This midi is perfect for a lot of people who are into Doom wading and Game Making as it would make a very nice track.
