Well, um… hm.
Definitely not what I was expecting, to be sure.
Slow electro is right, for sure. There’s enough of Dark Groove laced in there to be recognizable, but it’s tweaked just enough to make people wonder just what it is they’re listening to.
I find it extremely hard to believe that you mutated Dark Groove into this, GGJ. I would have believed you if you said you made this from scratch. Then again, I haven’t tracked enough to know what is possible and what isn’t.
For sheer musical quality, you’ve earned yourself an 8.2 from me. It’s not really my brand of music, but I tried not to let that faze my opinion. For all of you other persons, download this… it’s the only way you’ll ever really understand.
You know, I figured I’d download this simply for the music, but for some reason I decided to actually try playing the level.
Suffice it to say that the second of my decisions was a mistake. A grievous mistake.
Please, please, for the good of J2O… stop uploading things, Chet. It’s unhealthy.

Wait, a what-a what-a what?
EDIT: Filename has been adjusted. It should be downloadable now…[This review has been edited by 4I Falcon]
Rawk. I have a few MP3s that I’m probably going to upload when I get off my lazy arse. In any case, ruxulent song.
EDIT: Scratch last. I have to re-write the songs. Because I am tehsux. =D[This review has been edited by 4I Falcon]

The reason that there were no weaponry and stuff in it was because I put the events there, but apparently nothing happened. I originally wanted to have several places around the level where you could pick up ice p/us, but they simply never showed up. I’m not sure if it’s because of a sprite limit, event limit, or mix of both, but the concept was indeed there.
Well, a whole bunch of sixes. I was expecting something like this. Don’t worry, my next level will be better.
This is one of the many levels that makes me wonder why J2O doesn’t have a 0 rating…
An excellent level. A tad cramped, yes, but verra good nonetheless. Excellent tileset choice, good music… well, music that probably would befit a swamp CTF level, anyway… This is an excellent duel or 2v2 level, as it is small, but for the small size there is enough eyecandy to keep my brain on a sugar rush for a week and a half. About the only con I can find with it is that sometimes one could get confused with the ground in the sprite layer and the ground in the foreground layer.
Other than that, all my 8.5 are belong to this. (God, I did not just say that…)
Yes, I do try to put as much attention into eyecandy as possible.
So what can I improve on for next time?
There’s an ULTRA secret? Jeez, I didn’t think Epic would stoop so low as to put a secret within a secret…
So IS this the Deserto secret music or not?
Anyway, I likes this music. Yay.[This review has been edited by 4I Falcon]
Uh…
I just made a MIDI of this, and I frankly remember getting the intervals right. Your bassline is in G, while the melody is in A. Did I miss something, or aren’t both parts actually in B?
That “Rabbit” echo gets very annoying, very fast. I’m sorry. And that poor attempt at beatboxing doesn’t help the song much either, if that’s even what it is.
You’ve got a nice Orchestra Hit sound though.
3.
Close enough, BlackRaptor. We all know what you meant.
As for this pack, all I can say is OMG WOW! I still don’t understand why Volume 2 is rated lower than Volume 1, ‘cuz this stuff ROXXORS! Keep making levels like these, Blade… you’re a betterment to the world, not to mention the JJ2 community! ;D

A pair of above average songs. But, as Fquist sez, send more files next time. Particularly because i like mods. (one thousand and something! w00t!)
I N T H E D A W N – Nice echoey piano solo, nice use of bass. Slightly repetitive, tho. (gasp! chord change!)
Happy Hardcore High: Fast! I like fast songs! YaY! Anyway… This song has a nice, good beat to it (mmm… bass drum…). Although I’ve heard the background drum loop sample before, the melody is completely new to me. Good job.
If I did give this a rating, it would be a seven-ish. Possibly eight. But, Fquist will get mad at me if i do. Oh well.
O’ course, then you could just rename the level to “battle in the city.j2l,” then it will find itself easily enough. No problems there.
I’m not going to rate this level, considering I haven’t played it yet.
uh, just out of curiosity, where’d the ORIGINAL JitM get to?
This stuff is kewlzor, but it would be really nice if I could get the Long Names option in TSF…! :(
Just an idea for a remake of the prog… no criticism…
All my 9.2 are belong to CoolText 6.6.3!
Oh. My. God. I don’t even like CTF levels that much, but I downloaded this level simply because it r0xX0rs so much! INCREDIBLENESS AND VARIOUS OTHER STUFF!
um… i don’t believe you made Aryx.s3m, Double U. I have the file already, and at hand, and it says k.koch made the song. Perhaps you would like to back up your statement?
The music is good. Did I mention that?
This level is incredible. It’s a true puzzler. Great for time-delay battles, excellent for assault. 9.5 avg, only .5 off ‘cuz it’s a bit TOO hard for me :)
I used to think Pezrock wasn’t exciting, but now I see differently.
There are a lot of good stuffs in the Pezrock tileset for making a good JJ2 level.
Good pick on the tileset, and excellent conversion!
9!
You wouldn’t believe how long I’ve been looking for this tileset… and now I’ve found it! WOOWOO!
