Finally, a SP lvl! does the little dance
One funny level, using one of the most overused tilesets out there, Carrotus. The level is mainly about stomping crates and solving puzzles, but still some baddies to fry. The layout was good, the eyecandy wasnât that good. mostly empty spaces, or lineair placed plants ân pumpkins, but I think this does not affect the fun of this level. At the end there is an unbeatable boss (how the heck am I supposed to kill the Bilsy, when Im already at low power, and then I have to evade his fireballs in a room of 10Ă4! oh wellâŠ)
The single player fans, of which there arenât many these days (itâs a shame I tell ya, a shame!) should download it immediately. It even makes me wonder why you havenât yet, but took the time to read my review :D. Other people might want to check it out. 5 a 10 mins fun guaranteed.
First of all, I would like to give thanx for Nitroâs superb feedback for the DBZ tileset Payback and I made. Second, this is a TSF level, not 1.23. Third, this is not how you should construct a level with the tileset. And last, the level itself isnât WoW, also, the idea isnât that great to use in Jazz.
I wanted to give it a 1. However, because of you daring to take a risk putting in a new mode, Iâll add + 2. :)
FC PIKACHU TBT, please rate FAIR.

Happy Birthday!
To the reviewâŠ
A pretty good pack featuring a good amount of levels (Good use of different tilesets too). They are kinda big, so this is especially fun to play with more than 4 people. However, I do have some complains:
-levels are most of the time chaotic. Too much layers, stuff, walls and roads used in a small area. This makes it kinda hard to explore.
-Donât overdo eyecandy. Donât place a million of the same censored next to each other. Donât put a million STOP signs next to each other. Donât overdo.
soâŠlayout/playability wasnât that great. Weapon placement was good (maybe even excellent). Overall: a good pack. Everyone should download it, and not just âcos its your birthday ;)
A very, very good tileset. It really has a ânatureâ feel. Nicely drawn tiles, everything looks beautiful. Changing the sprite color was a good idea, now everything looks brown and green, THE nature colors :D Dunno what to add more; everyone should download it now!
You should just NOT upload stuff like this. People know that they have to unclude stuff like poles and text, but I guess they are too lazy, thats all.
Always fun to use a custom tileset. Well, almost always. My first impression when I started the level was: âoh my god, I landed straight in Teletubbyland!â (which is, for the younger people out there, NOT GOOD.)
I think the stuff up for grabs was overdone â way too much food and guns. The food is nice, cos that way you can get a sugar rush so you can hurt people with your fingers (:P), but this way, getting a rush is too easy. unfortunately, the amount of coins you can find in the level (which you need to enter a 50-coin warp) was minimal compared to the other stuff. For the restâŠlayout was pretty ok. Maybe a bit too straight from time to time. Gameplay wasnât really âgreatâ. Most of the time you had to stop, or rerun a whole path because you fell down a hole. Battle-lovers may want to download it, but no â not a reccomandation. Only for addictives!
Awesome tilest by ET. What do you want me to say more?
The tileset has a variety of objects, such as metal plates, planet surfaces, obstacles, blocks, textâŠthe whole ringading. By looking at the example levels, you can see what can be done with it (and I bet you can do even more!). Actually, no further comment, apart from the set being a bit âdirtedâ (ok, nobody is going to understand this), but I guess planets need to be that ;). Everyone should check this out. Itâs going to become a fav!
I came, I saw, I gave another bad ratingâŠ
My comments this time:
Author says: time spent on lvl is 2 or 3 hours. And yeah, we can surely see THAT!(no offence)
First of all, the level is small. Well, not really small, but the lack of platforms in some area, and too much platforms in another area make this a confusing and boring level. Also, you need coins to get to the weapon fall again, however, the author has put in multiple power-ups, which make the coin warp useless. The foreground layer is, to say it short: Irritating with the big I from âInsaneâ. And last: Too much horizontal platforms. And if they are not horizontal, they are completely piramid-made! You should spend more time on your level (make it 2 or 3 days, continiously), improve the battle-elements like multiple ways, sneaky paths and fast gameplay.
Music was ok, didnât really fit IMO, but wasnât that bad.
(edit: Ok, I made a mistake about the warps, but it isnât going to influence my rating anywayâŠ)

An assault level located in an airspeed airplane. Yup, people, itâs time to bring the big bird downâŠ
Although it represents a plane, and it has the form of a plane, it didnât really feel like a real plane, but away with that :)
Itâs the red teamâs job to break a couple of crates, run past some obstacles and, finally, to destroy the engine and make the plane crashâŠok, I know, people from the USA might have a certain weakness for planes right nowâŠ
Meanwhile, team blue has to defend the plane at all cost, by using various warps to get trough the plane.
The idea is very good, however: the crates are very easy to find, also, the level contains an airboard part which looks to much like one of those (horrible) test levelsâŠthe one that warp you away when you touch a certain blockâŠ.the same here, except there is wind now :) Assault isnât supposed to be made hard by adding such âtestsâ, it should be made hard by putting in team plans and team work. Too bad, the creatot missed that part.
Nontheless, this is a pretty good level to check out, all you assault-freaks, as this level is still fun to play.
people that are not used to assault yet could use this level as a quick taste of the real job.
edit: forgot to say, the music doesnât fit the level (or any assault level) at all. try to find better music, not â70s arcade :P[This review has been edited by SPLASHcc]
ehrmâŠletâs just call that âreviewers n00binessââŠon to the real deal.
Seeing as this level hasnât improved that much from the original, only some extra springs and stuff (Still not good, too basic, and too much stuff empty. Also, the small, almost invisible, platforms just suckâŠ)
I will stick my old review of this level:
Altough the Diamondus tileset being very basic, you can overdo itâŠand that is what the creator of this level did. The level is way too lineair, and the whole area seemed to be a one-way ticket. No gapâs ân paths, just one wayâŠThe eyecandy is very bad, you should improve it by adding more nature to the level, and more of that kind. Weapon placement was bad as well, it was just stuck on various places, like the creator didnât care. I donât think people have to download it, but maybe they want to after all, the so called freaks :P. Try again, better luck next time!
People, rate levels FAIR, do you really think it is neccesary to rate lvls like these 9.7 compared to great levels like Martinâs or the like? People like you make me sickâŠyou ruin the fun of a community

opens eyes widely Disguise trying SP? Oh wellâŠhere goesâŠ
The length of the levels is very good, it takes some while to run trough it, also, nice puzzles have been added to make you scratch your head from time to time. However, the real difficulty of the pack does not come from the puzzles, is comes from the way too big amount of baddies placed, and it really gave me the feel I was just an automated Fire-button-press deviceâŠ
The eyecandy, to be honest with you all, just sucks. Well ok, it doesnât suck suck..but it sucks. Way too empty, try to add a more jungle feel to it, use way more bushes, trees, flowers, rocks, moths etc. etc.
I think the real single player freaks may be rather dissapointed with this pack, but the rest (I think) will think it is just fine as a break from the battle-madnessâŠTry to improve your SP-skills, then come back for a second go. For now, go back to tilesets again, Wisey, those rock. ;)
Yeah this is weird..at my download, it sez 1 rating but it has 2 ratings of Cell, but there was one at first, before i edited the info. hmmâŠ
ok this REALLY smells like a conspiracy. Think im gonna let the admins know this. It getâs a 1 from me, until that 10 changes, this is really evilâŠ
edit: ok the 10 is gone, ill remove my 1 as wellâŠ[This review has been edited by SPLASHcc]
double cough My Site cough
big isnt the right wordâŠits HUGE :P
anyway onto the reviewâŠ
quite nice battle level, with the mez2 tileset. easy to use, but still lovable. level contains some good stuff like coins to spend in 2 different bonus warps, a small pinball area and so on. just to make sure you wont get bored :). however, sometimes there is just too much stuff available in an area, making it a big mess, some ways are large but lineair, and then the background which i think is rather irritating â same tiles as layer 4 and going way fast..
this is a lvl the battlefans must have -that doesnt mean others dont have to download it â its great fun. what are u waiting for? it wont come flying into yer jazz folder get it!
ahum..here goes..prepare yourself and fasten yor seatbeltsâŠ
level 1: sorry man, very bad lvl, way too lineair, unfinished walls, not wotking events (events at the bottom never work), too much enemies, some puzzle, not good
level 2: small lvl with the robot boss thats all. and even that lvl isnt good, the lvl hasnt even been finished properly.
level 3: another bad level. way too lineair, a useless powerup (where do i need 2 blaster powerups for?), no enemies, bad looking.
level 4: same as level 1, but this time you have to swim back, instead of run forthâŠgeddit? still the same bad level.
plus: u didnt hide the 3 next lvls, thankgod u numbred the lvls..
u didnt add ending after the last lvl, causing jazz to quit cos of an error.
u didnt include the tileset (thankgod i had it).
music..is quite ok..jazz1 music always good
this is an extremely bad and extremely short single player âpackâ (can i call it that?). stay away from it â it might hurt your eyes
nice sinlge player, made with the nice laboratory tileset (which is..kinda rare, except in CTF :P). This level is good 10 mins fun, so if you are bored (or not) go get it now. There were some small things that I have to mention: some part were feeling way lineair, like long horizontal paths and areas, and some stuff like hooks and spikesâŠit didnt feel like one big thing, more like many small areas. but of course this doesnt take away the fun, download it now!
sorry man, way too small, way to basic
normally i would give a nice review but since this is so way small, i cannot say anything about it. try to work harder on yer stuff. (thats a message to ALL you jazzers â look at the downloads many many bad grades).
ok here goes:
level 1: good points: it was short, yes it was very short..hard because of warps? i reached the boss within 20 secs! bad points: the level was plain ugly â u know why i was happy it was so short.
level 2: medivo1 with a small change. bad very bad.
next level setting was wrong. it had to be a level that isnt included in the pack.
rating: 1.2
1 is the lowest score, so a 1.2 because of the 30 seconds wasted time.
