Hey WaterRabbit, thanks for the feedback. By pressing DOWN you need to stop the platform. The point is to reposition the platform to climb up higher. Then the camera should move back to the character. If it still does not work then please let me know and I’ll try to find a different solution.

A funny little sp pack. Good tileset, not very good graphics but good eyecandy and cool palette designs. Also making your own tileset for your levels is great.
Gameplay was good, no story and this makes the pack a bit boring sometimes and repeating the first level in the second wasn’t also fun. A new area would do better.
Placements of goodies and baddies were just perfect.
There were a few warp target problems that warp you through the top of the enemies. Except that, there were no problems or bugs.

I couldn’t understand why did the author make the pack N/A-comment-only. This level can have a high rating!

After my last time playing jazz2 (months ago) it was my first sp pack and it was wonderfull.
Very original idea. Spaz finds Jazz dead in ETs Planet and tries to make a clone of Jazz.
Level design was good, not much bugs, also the goodies and baddies placement was fine. Sometimes the carrots weren’t enough and enemies very hard to beat (or i forgot how to play:) ) It would’ve need one more level that before your journey to find the objects to clone Jazz, you could have gone to the lab and find a DNA sample of Jazz. The pack is fine like that anyway.
The best idea was Jazz shaped Devil Devan Boss. It fits on well with a story for the first time.
Music was awesome. Especially the ones in the diamondus and the first kejero’s egypt level.
The diamondus level was a bit boring unlike its music.
In conclusion this pack worths to play. Have a nice single player, thank you Booman!

the best of all 5 episodes. maybe keeping it shorter was the way to make it fun, but there were many original ideas also! i liked the frog-based levels (i like froggy:p) the levels were enjoyable and easier than the previous ones and that made it fun.
the tileset was improved a lot since the first episode so it made the levels look much better.
the end boss level was also good. Trying to turn off the four buttons. But a familiar end boss would be more surprising (like the whole big enemy was one of our end bosses.) so we could fight with him face to face after this end boss level.
Anyway, the final episode was the best one. takes a 7.6—7.7 from me!

by the way, thanks for writing my name in the credits! i did nothing but to review :)

Well at last the wolfs and bears are lke real enemies!:D
After Iran, Greece was much more better! Levels were better has funnier like the boss level. This pack needs excitement like this. Otherwise it becomes monotone.
Levels were more possible to beat. Not much endless pits like the previous one, but still there were a few annoying ones.
As i’ve said before, the wolfs and bears were improved, and seem like real enemies.
The goodies and baddies were well placed except there were too much enemies together in some places.
Consequently it was a standart Campaign Mysteries pack. I still couldn’t have the same fun with the first pack. Maybe it’s just because it’s the same. But it was very very good when you compare with Iran levels.
I guess there’s one episode left. Put new original ideas and make it exciting!
By the way thank you very much for the carrots! :D:D

The third episode of the series were not as good as i’ve expected. I couldn’t enjoy like i did in the first two episodes. cause there were always endless pits, bloody spikes that sucks you…
No 1ups and not enough carrots to balance the difficulty, it’s nearly impossible to beat.

Also there weren’t new ideas except the explosions while chasing Mick Natla. Also the animated rocks in the temples were original.

The pack has has 5 episodes and it’s hard to keep the story interesting.
So there are two more episodes, and the author would make these episodes much more different than the first three. cause the pack started to repeat itself.
So, it’s my rating:
Gameplay- +0.9
Idea- +1.7
Tileset- +0.9
Music- +1.3
Bugs- +1.6
Rating- =6.4> 6.5

I don’t know why but this Campaign Mysteries idea is very exciting for me!
The second episode of the pack is much better than the first one. Tileset was better (not much difference but seems much better)
There’s a huge improvement in the level design. The levels were long and there were good ideas. But sometimes it was too difficult. There were too many endless pits and lava that kill you when you fall into it. They were sometimes really annoying. Also there weren’t enough carrots and 1ups and this makes it nearly impossible to beat.
The bike idea was good but you could make it better. You could make it go always the same direction and support it with the event BeltRight. This could make it more realistic.
There were still the wolves and bears. You should remove them in episode 3. Sometimes they can be really annoying, also doesn’t look good.
Gameplay- +1.6
Idea- +2.0
Tileset- +0.7
Music- +2.0
Bugs- +1.2
Rating- =7.5

Egypt and Iraq levels were similar to each other, you should find some new original ideas for Iran to keep the game alive! Waiting for the third episode!

Well, not really like jazz2! was ilke a different world! maybe not much eyecandy but seems like an old game! just not like jazz2!
Music choice was excellent! there wouldn’t be a better choice for a puzzle level.
There were very interesting and original ideas. It takes some time to figure it out! (I don’t want to tell and ruin everything) It was rally hard to solve the first puzzles, (i didn’t know the way to use bouncer ammo like that!) the rest was easier.
Still i wonder how does the trigger zones work with the key tiles! You put the trigger scenery event in another place, but the tile that you put the trigger zone event is the key! you can pick it up although it’s not a trigger scenery event! So, it was just amazing!

Despite the first review i really liked the rhis episode. It was really fun.
The gameplay was very good. No boring stuff except some ordinary puzzles. There were very interesting ideas like the mirror, new food(!)…
The tileset was a huge mistake! You could use a much better tileset. This ms painty tileset destroyes all the excitement! The new bad guys were also bad. The animated tiles were not enough for it. They run and suddenly disappear. Except that, the levels were not bad. Good placement of goodies and baddies (except the wolfs and bears) There was a huge tilebug in the Cairo’s 8. layer backgorund. Except that, there’s no other, or i didn’t see.
The music choice is good, the standart egypt level musics.
Overall:
Gameplay- +1.8
Idea- +2.0
Tileset- +0.4
Music- +2.0
Bugs- +0.8
Rating- =7.0
I’m waiing for the second epsode! Hope it will be a better tileset!!:)

I think Xmas Bilsy would be a great idea. However if i put an xmas bilsy, my puzzle would crash. Because you can’t escape Bilsy’s fireballs while you’re flying. Also Bilsy can pass through the TNT blocks. So Tuff Boss was the best choice for the puzzle.

So here’s the review
Gameplay:
It was very very hard to play. Not enough carrots and 1ups and the ones are hidden hard. So you always loose lives and start from the beggining. And this makes it a little boring. Except the difficulty, generally it was good. The levels were well-built, long enough to have fun.

Goodies and Baddies: As i said, there were lack of carrots and extra lives. Also there were too many types of ammo, this was pointless. Foods were fine, not much gems. (not that important) Baddies were fine and enough.

Usage of Tileset: This tileset is a good choice for a single player pack. The usage was good and ther were no tile bugs. (At least i didn’t see any.)

Extras:
This pack is original. There are lots of fun with original ideas like the falling and moving crates. Also there was an interesting story. I was sick of the Devan stories. So this pack shows us a single player pack should be good without the Devan’s ‘Destroy Of Somewhere’ plans.
This makes me give a 8.2 for the originality and break points just for the goodies and the difficulty. I highly recommend you to download the pack.

Ischa, maybe it’s your opinnion, but i don’t think this is a good reason to break points just because the queen is friendly!? This is just a story, does this really matters that the queen must be evil everytime? This is my idea, maybe that’s yours!
By the way, the music of the second level is one of the official musics of that tileset from Tomb Rabbit. I just wanted to be loyal to that episode, so didn’t change the music. You should not make me responsible for that. I’d be very happy if you’d re-review the level pack according to these.
Thank you

At these times, single player levels start to be ordinary. So in my opinnion sp the second hardest section to make a good job. (The first is tileset)
Because of that, building good levels doesn’t make sense. You have to make sth different. You can make an extra-ordinary story or make a jj2 version of an old game, or you may put some interesting stuff in the levels. Otherwise, you can’t have a high mark.
Except these, the eyecand, enemies and other stuff are good. The point is, no fun! So i will give you a 7.7 for your level design.

Good Points: Ok, this pack is generally good. The levels are well built, eyecandy was perfect. The difficulty was fine, the baddies fit in the tilesets.

Bad Points: The levels were well built, however there was lack of excitement. Some classical levels and overused tilesets, made the pack a bit boring. You should support the pack with an interesting story.

Overall: Let’s say a well made level pack with no excitement :) But still i recommend you to download

Sorry, low rating! :) This pack is too.. how can i say??.. Well there are no eyecandy, no original ideas. Just shoot some bad guys by passing the areas with wrong backgrounding and find the exit. The levels were filled with bad guys everywhere that makes you cheat while playing.
So, the author has to pay attention to this.
I loved the tileset Castube. Good looking and may be usefull sometimes.

However 4.0 from me..

An amazing level pack!

A huge level pack with lots of fun! Here’s my review:

Good points: The levels are huge, hard to beat and enjoyable
The enemies and ammo placements were really good!
Also there were wonderfull ideas like collecting purple gems can bring you some awards!
And Rocket Turtle Boss was amazing!! I didn’t know that you could make him move with Area ID. It really rocks!
And the use of tileset was also fine! I liked the tilesets. (Except the castle one) And they were used intelligently!

Bad Points: In a level, it causes an error and you have to start from the begginning!
The levels were reallly good, but you were always at the same place, and saying i’ve been there! And this made the level a bit boring.
The goodies could have been placed better. There would be more gems and carrots.

Overall it could make 8.5, but the rocket turtle idea impressed me, so it makes 8.7 :)

  2. 2
  3. 3
