Shadow just told me that Jazz Jackrabbit Advance finally has been spotted in Dutch stores. To be a little more exact, the game can be found at most Bart Smit and Intertoys shops.

Well, it may have been there before but probably not for the affordable price of less than 15 Euros. Even I may go get a copy now….

Permalink Featured download! March 9th 2005

February’s featured download is Blade’s new tileset, Islands in the Sapphire Sea. This tileset is filled with classic pirate humor at it’s second best. If this isn’t good enough for you, go play Monkey Island. Bottles of beer, pirate flags, hooks, cannons, and more are all here. The tileset looks fairly realistic and detailed, but manages to maintain a ‘cartoony’ feeling at the same time, as shown in the screenshot below.

If you’re looking for a good tileset to make a tropical island based level, this one’s probably your best choice for now. You can’t go wrong building an uncharted island with litter and used pirate gear scattered everywhere. I apoligize for how short this review turned out to be, but that’s pretty much all you need to know. Blade’s created a new classic.

Permalink 403 Forbidden Errors March 8th 2005

If you receive 403 Forbidden errors after filling out a form on any page on J2O chances are that it is related to a strange problem being worked on where certain sequences of characters that appear in either post/get data cause the page to be forbidden.

So far, 2c’s followed by a space (see I can’t type it here or I will get a 403 error) causes a problem. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
