Hey! I just found something that i’ve downloaded but havn’t rated.

EYECANDY 21/25

Great basic street eyecandy. Beautiful backround eyecandy and a textured sky. Layer 2 included

ITEMS 20/25

Well, we have a variety of items (Including food, which is very rare in battle levels). There is much ammo and hidden PowerUps.

GAMEPLAY 18/25

Not the best i’ve seen, but a repectable score. There are a few warps and springs. Bonus points for steam coming off the top of buildings.

SIZE 19/25

Both sizes are respectable. Could be a tiny bit bigger (I like big levels)

TOTAL = 78/100

RATING = 7.7

FINAL COMMENT: Very good. But an extra point would have given you a higher rating. At least your level gets a (high) download recommendation.

EYECANDY 22/33

Heeyy!!! Not bad. You’ve got a stormy backround with pallaraxing stars. And a little eyecandy on the foreground layers.

ITEMS 24/33

Also, not bad. A couple of PowerUps put in and a fair ammount of ammo now and then.

GAMEPLAY 24/34

Not bad again. A few warps dotted around the level and many hidden ‘SUCKER TUBES’.

TOTAL = 70/100

RATING = 7.0

FINAL COMMENT: You have earnt yourself a clean seven, better than I have ever gotten. That seven has eant you a download recommendation.

EYECANDY 17/25

You scored a mediocre score on eyecandy. Most eyecandy you put were on layers 2,3 and 4. You have a moving backround that gives you an extra 3 points.

ITEMS 10/25

There are very few items in the level (CARROTS, HINT HINT). There is no ammo whatsoever.

GAMEPLAY 14/25

Not bad gameplay. There are many places where you can get hurt. But no warps or crates.

ENEMIES 21/25

Definatly the best thing in this level. Just a few too many bats.

TOTAL = 62/100

RATING = 6.2

FINAL COMMENT: Not too bad, not too good. If you just put some ammo in the level, you would have just about earnt a download recommendation.

My first review for this year….

EYECANDY 6/25

Not much eyecandy in many levels and could do with some improvment. This use is used only in layers 3 and 4. Overall, eyecandy is definatly not your strong point.

ITEMS 19/25

Pretty good but still has room for improvment. All types of item has been used in this level. Some empty areas that need filling in.

GAMEPLAY 19/25

Again, improvment is still needed. You have used crates and warps. Bonus warped have also been used.

ENEMIES 20/25

You’ve used a pretty good range of enemies. About 3 to 5 differant types have been used. Boss included.

OVERALL SCORE: 64/100

ROUNDED SCORE/OVERALL RATING: 6.5

FINAL COMMENT: A common score (I mostly get this type of score) but an improvable score (Especially on eyecandy). You have just about earnt a download reccomendation.

I noticed some of the tiles are not in there, such as the inside of the cavwe houses. You did do two seperate tileset for the inside of the cave, and the outside. Plus, when I played commander keen 4, i found a green slime pool in the 2nd pyrimid.

Appart from that, everything is OK.

I don’t really agree with Reggen. The level is awfully short and very boring. There was not a wide range of enemies and there were very small ammounts of items in places. I was told not to use a Mez tileset when I did the level LOCKED IN A LAB and got a six. There was also no eyecandy.

Even with eyecandy, you’re not going to get anywhere with Mez.

I’m writinjg to say what a bad pack this is:

Under 10 tile used in all levels

You deleted some of the Hocus Pocus tiles (good ones). Which makes me angrier because not only did you wreck the tileset, you wrecked Violet CLM’s Time Tripping thing. Includes replacing the stars with rivers, so that when you collect a key or anything else, this river in mid-air appears, deleting the switch with the lever in the the middle I was going to use for a custom level, replacing the chain vines with a thing, witch was used in Violet CLMs thing with a orange river thing under a platform, and the wide open mouth of one of the masks is now gone, instead, there is part of the window.

So, so short.

They don’t appear on the HCL. And it gets worse by passwording the levels How I played them?? Deleted the password.

Thats the bad things, now onto the good things:

This well and truely does deserve a 10!!

Great on every levels (especially the last level with the monks) in gameplay, the placement of coins is good and even includes other items besides gems, but Potions and Keys!

Download Recommendation: Definatly yes!!!

Only 1 tile used in the whole thing. Like the idea, but no eyecandy. You chose a good music file (saveing yourself from a 2.7).

Yay! I have JJ1 and it works! (Surprisingly)

Er……….most people use .ZIPS, not PK3. I don’t even know what PK3 is. If it’s PK3, i’m obviously not going to find it. If there is any way you could put it into .ZIP, PLEASE DO IT.

It’s very good. Full of diamonds and I could find use for eyecandy. The only thing wrong is the backround. It’s too light. You’ve got DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION and a 9.2

Medivo is probaly one of the darkest planets.

EYECANDY SEARCH: You have a choice of 2 backrounds, rain or skyline. You have extra rain if youi want to put it down. I couldn’t find any other eyecandy.

FEATURES: Sucker tubes made out of bricks, the JJ1 signs and some animation tiles.

COLOURS: Perfect!!!! Exactly the same as the origonal MEDIVO planet on JJ1.

Rating: 7.7

Download: It’s over 7.5, so yes.

Even though I don’t know what PEZROCK planet looks like. I give you a 9.5 for the conversion.

EYECANDY SEARCH: Just like Dreempipes, good. Again, not many foreground tiles and loads of backround tiles.

FEATURES: I think this tileset has more features than most of the other JJ1 tilesets. You have spikes, Skyline ect. The only thing you don’t have are shooting blocks.

COULORS: Some are too bright, EG. The skyline you could make a little darker.

RATING: 9.5

Download?: You can guess.

Yet another boring day of reviewing and doing what i do worst.

EYECANDY: Bad, on all levels. NO FLOOR TILES!!!!!! A level needs floor tiles. 3/20

GAMEPLAY: Extremely bad. No crates or good bits. Just nothing fun. 1/20

ENEMIES: Bad. Not enough enemies in any level. Just some monkeys and 3 bosses. 5/20

ITEMS: Finally, something good!! 11/20

SIZE: TOO SMALL. Make levels bigger!5/20

Add them all up = 25. Divide by 10 = 2.5

Realy bad. Somehow, people like downloading bad stuff. Lots of downloads for you.

Eyecandy: You only put eyecandy on 2 layers. Two isn’t enough, 3 would be enough, but its your first level release, so you probaly wouldn’t have. 13/20.

Gameplay: Very good gameplay, especialy crates, i give you 20/20 for that.

ITEMS: Add a few more and you would have gotten another 20. But you didn’t, so i’ll give you 18/20.

Enemies: Same as items, its not hard enough, but there are less enemies, but there is a blissy boss ate the end. You would of had 16, but the boss, so 17/20.

Size: You were right, not too big, not too small. 18/20.

Added Up = 86/100. Divide by 10= 8.6. Round up to nearest rating= 8.5

8.5: Very good first try!!!

EDIT: OK then, very good first SP level.

EYECANDY: Bit more on the foreground layers then you would have made me more happy than i am. I give eyecandy 14/20 (STILL GOOD)

SIZE: NICE BIG BATTLE ARENA. But I found very thin parts of the map. I’d say…..17/20 on size.

ITEMS: Hmmmmm, not sure about this one. Some places there are lots of ammo and some places there arn’t any at all. You’ve got a 15/20 on items.

GAMEPLAY: Not sure on this one either. There are a fair amount of warps and hidden bits. Um……. 17/20.

FEATURES (to fill enemies): I’m also not sure on this one. A few DESTRUCT and BUTTSTOMP tiles. What am I saying? 20/20!!!!!

Man im’ bored……. Strange name.

Level 1: At first I thought “Hey this isn’t bad, nice eyecandy, good enemies…” Until I finished in a matter of seconds……That was level one.

Level 2: It’s a boss level, after a very short level. I defeat the boss then says something odd, then done, finished the whole thing.

1/5….. You have the eyecandy. Items, Gemeplay, Enemies, Size = NO.

Rating: 1.7

Download recommendation: No unless you want to time yourself doing a boss (Thats what I love doing: Fearofdarks time: 1 minute 56 seconds)

Final Comments: You are nowhere near my recommendation for a download. You need a 7.5.

This is what I always do with multilevel downloads. Do a small review.

I even had trouble getting past level 3 (Evan3). To many darn enemies.

Evan 1 I can complete in less than 4 seconds.

Bosses: impossible. Evan 21, there are loads and loads of bees you can only hear this annoying buzzing sound.

You had 4 or 5 bosses there and the carrots are 100 squares above you. You have to stomp the enemies to go up and get the carrots.

The ‘Rainbow’ levels ARE OK. They are the only levels that have eyecandy in.

Evan 4 was good aswell, but youy put in the wrong backround.

The NELSON and EVAN level is like the ultimate test. If you go to the last door after the begginning you fall for a bit, then collect loads of blue gems. Then loads TNT. Then loads of POWERUPS at the bottom.

This is taking such a long time. Lets say all the levels were bad.

3.2 isn’t going to help you

DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Never downloads something like this

I could’nt even download it because of a download error (It’s not TSF, it’s somthing thats gone wrong with the download).

Either there is a minor bug, someones messed up the download or it just doesn’t work on the COMPUTER i’m useing.
