I’m just not going to rate this. Many of the tiles are missing, the level is small and the sucker tube does not work.

EXTRA NOTE: 8 hours is not a long time. I have spent more than 12 days doing mine.

No starting comment, so lets get right to the review.

EYECANDY: 12/20

Basic Tubelectric eyecandy is all I have to say. The backround is the same (Radio type things and speakers) and plugs for the foreground.

GAMEPLAY: 14/20

Because the level is small (I’ll mention that later in my review) there will be little gameplay. A few springs and a tube and thats about it.

ITEMS: 8/20

I couldn’t find many items in the level. A tiny bit of ammo and a carrot. Thats it.

SIZE: 8/20

Here is the cause of all your problems. Size is very important because:

a) You don’t have to squish loads of ammo in.

b) It gives you more space to move.

c) Allows more players to join the game.

OBSTACLES: 3/20

Since i’m tired i will just make this review short (ish).

EYECANDY: 14/20

Good eyecandy. Foreground eyecandy can block view.

GAMEPLAY: 17/20

Great gameplay. Nice use of ‘sucker tube’ event. Warps at bottom.

AMMO: 13/20

Level lacks ammo. Too many power ups.

SIZE: 18/20

Not to big, not too small. Areas can be annoying.

OBSTACLES: 16/20

A few obstacles here and there. Eg. Jumps.

SUBS AND BONUSES:

Idea of roof battle. +5

TOTAL SCORE: 83/100

RATING: 8.2

I have given more reviews with ratings below 6.5. This time I’m hoping for a higher one.

LEVEL 1:

There is a huge overusage of items and enemies in this level. There is no eyecandy to make the level look nice. To make the level harder without overusing enemies, put in a few more spikes (I tend to overuse spikes sometimes). Also, packs that have under 5 levels must include long levels. Also, please include hidden passages in the levels. RATING: 4.5

LEVEL 2:

I could put just about the same comment as I did in level 1. I found many tile errors in this level which I really hate. RATING: 4.7

LEVEL 3:

Same old comment. No eyecandy, tile errors, items overused.

RATING: 4.3

AVERAGE RATING: 4.5

FINAL COMMENT:

You won’t want 4.5’s in the future. Still no level over 6.5. Oh well. Use the advice I gave you and spend more time on your levels and (if you can) test them!!

EDIT: Looking at the review you gave in my newest level I decided to play your levels again. I found a tile error at pos 248,7 in level one right at the start (Error with wall). There was eyecandy in the levels but very little and I found 2 hidden passages. I will raise your rating to 5 but please look out for tile errors in future.

My first treasure hunt review scince my ‘over a year’ long break.

EYECANDY: 7/20

Very dissapointing. The backround looks very bad and the moving bricks in the backround are very annoying and make you sick.

GAMEPLAY: 8/20

Only falling gems. That is all.

AMMO: UNMARKED

No ammo.

SIZE: 10/20

Small. That is all I have to say.

GEM PLACEMENT: 5/20

There is an unlimited amount of gems and anyway, how can I give you a mark for falling gems??

BONUSSES/SUBTRACTIONS:

Falling gem idea +0.2
TOTAL: +0.2

TOTAL SCORE: 32/100

RATING: 3.2

FINAL COMMENT: If the level wern’t annoying, i’d give you a higher score and rating. I really want to say don’t download this but if you want demonstration on a good idea, you might download this. Anyway, this is not a very complex piece of work.

I feel very tired.

EYECANDY: 16/20

Good eyecandy in the level if I remember well. The tileset used is a bit boring and music (which won’t apply to you EYECANDY rating) is basic but good work.

GAMEPLAY: 15/20

A fair amount of warps and stuff. There is a copter in there somewhere which is different.

AMMO AND CARROTS: 15/20

Great ammo placement in a few areas but I think you may have exeeded the limit of carrots. I would say a maximum of 1 or possibly 2 carrots in a medium sized level and I think you have used 3.

SIZE: 17/20

I like medium sized levels because you don’t lose your enemy. One concern is that some areas have not a lot of space to move in.

OBSTACLES: 18/20

There are many falling obstacles in the level…..

BONUSSES AND SUBTRACTIONS:

Basic music -2 points
Good level out of basic tileset +7 points.

Total Bonus/Loss: 5 points
Tatal Points: 86/100
Rating: 8.5
Download it?: YES!!

FINAL COMMENT: Yay! A good level!

These tile layouts are not your levels but as usual I will rate.

BATTLE 1:
There is such a thing as too many shields. A better version of battles would be to have better eyecandy and more gameplay (Springs, places to get to ect.) not fill the level with bonuses. Rating: 2.0

BATTLE 2:
Same as level one. I only found 1 or 2 new areas. New areas should expand the level but it will seriously damage your rating to cut out new areas and create others from scratch. Rating: 1.5

BATTLE 3:
Same old comment. NOTE: Overusing pinball events do not improve the level and again damages the rating. RATING: 1.7

BONUSSES AND SUBTRACTIONS:
You did not make the layout or backround. -0.2

Overusing ammo. -0.3

TOTAL BONUS/LOSS: -0.5

TOTAL RATING: 1.2

FINAL COMMENT:
Please note that you will recieve bad comments for making origonal levels worse.

2nd review after holiday!!

EYECANDY: 16/20
Great eyecandy!!! You’ve use the backround layers and foreground layers perfectly. Ther only thing that got on my nerves was that some of the foreground eyecandy was blocking the view.

GAMEPLAY: 14/20
I was not sure on the gameplay. There are a few obsticles in the game which are too easy and some are too hard. Still not the best gameplay.

ITEMS: 16/20
The items seem to be placed properly. My only concern is that there are some places with 2 or 3 carrots in one area and need to be scattered (and get rid of a few).

HAZZARDS: 15/20

Replace a few crabs. The hurt scenary is fine but you are overusing crabs in this level.

OTHERS: 15/20

The size of the level is normal but I got stuck at one point.

SCORE: 76/100

RATING: 7.5

COMMENT: Good rating and I would recommend dowloading this. There is still room for improvement but a 7.5 isn’t bad.

This is the first review i’ve done in several months, but anyway:

EYECANDY: 7/20
Not very good. Poor eyecandy for most levels that get 7.

GAMEPLAY: 15/20
This has good gameplay but not the best. Pinball is interesting but the frog game is hard and I don’t really like tooo hard. You were right about the matrix.

ITEMS: 7/20

I can’t really describe items.

SIZE: 14/20

For a game level it should be big. And it is.

OTHERS: 12/20

Thye matrix game let the level down but the game was interesting.

OVERALL SCORE: 55/100

RATING: 5.5

COMMENT: To be honest, it’s not that great but it is over 5.0 so it’s not completely bad. A dissapointing start for me.

It’s not bad and it’s not good. There is hardly any backround but there is so much ammo so they both even each other out. I say this deserves a 5.7 at the most because i’m in a friendly mood today. Its too bad can’t give you a good recommendation.

YYYYAAYYY!!First review of level again!!
(sorry) Anyway, this has a hell of a lot of problems.

PROS:

You’ll get loads of downloads because I’ve given you a low rating

Loads of items.

CONS:

No balance between items and enemies.

Level hard because there are loads of multipul choice puzzles and you die if you fail one.

Loads of gaps in the level

No eyecandy on layers 7,6,5,3,2 and 1.

BBBOOOOORRRRRIIINNGGG

I don’t mean to offend but this level sucks and doesn’t deserve any more than a 2.5

Yes, you’re right, Ceramicus does look like the worst tileset in JJ1 (I thought Letni was until I saw this). Like all JJ1 conversions, they’re converted brilliantly. Many of the features (most not included in REAL JJ1 levels) include sucker tubes, hooks and vines. I want to rate it more than 7.7, but this is the worst JJ1 tileset i’ve downloaded, so 7.7 it is.

I finally found a good Tubelectric conversion !)

I’ve also found the most UNUSUAL Tubelectric conversion. You’ve included the turrets with ammo. Also, there are more animation tiles and eyecandy tiles.

One of the problems is that the wall turrets (The ones facing side-ways) follow the direction of the black backround bricks so the turret has to shoot the minute the one it shot before goes (Confused? Basically, it means that the turret has to shoot without pausing).

Despite that, this is probally one of the best Tubelectric conversions i’ve seen.

This has a hell of a lot of problems.

DIAMONDUS:Firstly, this is missing many of the features in JJ1. But you couldn’t help that. Anyway, many of the items were only possible to collect in JJ1. Then there’s the bonus level. What was the point of putting in houndreds of birds when you can’t get them all? Well in JJ1 there are houndreds of birds but you can get them all.

TUBELECTRIC: This is just a dissapointing as Diamondus. The shooting turrets are missing which makes the level easier. Both the levels are too dark and you changed the end of one of the levels.

MEDIVO: Even more dissapointing, no swords which make the levels easy and no lava which light up the level. The Helmuts made it even more easy.

GUARDIAN: Bad choice of boss and is activated too early.

I don’t really know how to rate this. I don’t like it much but I like the fact that you can be in the audiance. S0 i’ll just give you a 4.5

Not a very good start. No textured backround, houndreds of tile errors. No backround or foreground ey7ecandy has been used.

You said there were warps in the level. Well I could hardly find any warps. The only gameplay there is is a few crates.

Appalling use of ammo. Millions of empty spaces which could be filled in.

OH, HOORAY!!You’ve just earnt yourself a high mark. Nice big area.

OVERALL MARK = 31/100

RATING = 3.0

Oh dear. That could have been better. But its one of those levels. Definatly no download recommendation since you need a 6.5
