All right, my friend, let’s have a look at this Very Average Pack of yours. Very good structure, levels were ok, but let’s go over that in detail…
QUALITY
Overall, very good. You had some fine levels [i.e. 2,3, and 4], and then some not-so-fine levels [1,5]. 5 seemed fairly short, and I found the other base in under 7 seconds. Try hiding them a little better. [But they were still good!] I really liked in the inferno level, where you could warp to the base you selected. Good thinking.
TILES[sets]
Good choices, they kept my mind active [which can be hard to do], and were interesting to see. However, you used a lot of original tilesets [tubelectric, inferno—but that was a modded one], try using a few more customs next time.
BUGGYNESS
Not much to say here, you got rid of pretty much all the buggage, and made it nice n’ smooth. Points go for that!
EYE CANDY [in this case, music]
Ah yes, and here is my biggest bone. Almost NONE of your levels had music files at all! This is definitely a biiig no-no. However, the one song you used was soo good that I’m gonna use it in my own battlepack [if you don’t mind] coming soon. I would strongly recommend going back and giving it music, because that will make it even better.
PROBLEMS
Just the stuff I mentioned, be sure to work on that. It’ll be worth the effort, I promise!
SUMMARY
To close this all up, I’d like to say that you did some good work, but also missed some stuff. Be very sure to go correct that stuff I pointed out. It’ll improve your status. But the most important thing to remember is to not let this get you down. You may have missed a bit of work, but you made up for it elsewhere. Keep at it, and amaze us with an even averagier CTF pack!
To readers, I recommend dl’ing this, even if it needs work. It’s still an awesome pack! [P.S.-you forgot to password one of your levels. :)]

And now the review:
Gameplay: 4/10
-It’s CTF, just to let anybody know.
-Lots of jumping required. Slows down process of getting around.
-A bit confusing as to where you are. Too much like a labrynth.This makes it hard to remember how to get to your base.
-Bases too close together. A standard game (10 captures) would finish in a couple of minutes.

Eyecandy: 7/10
-Neat tileset chosen.
-The contrast actually works very well. Easy to see difference between background and forground.
-Little forground.

Music: 10/10
-Very good tempo
-Synthesizer in there? Fits the tileset and level.

Placement: 4/10
-Why were there warps in some places? Why did you end up at a computer? This made things VERY confusing.
-Too many seekers. They require little skill to kill with, and are one of the most powerful weopens in the game.

Size: After running around a bit, it looks suitable for about 5-6 players. Not necessarily good for a CTF level.

Bonuses:
-Tileset is a crossbreed between Tubelectric and… something grey.
-Makes me feel claustrophobic.

Overall: 7/10
A good level for a LAN party, but not online play for a big server in my opinion. It has ok eyecandy and good music, but the gameplay is confusing and makes things a bit too complicated.

Download Reccomendation: Yes, but only if you intend to play with less than 7 people, because the level is a bit small and the bases are close together, making it easy to finish the level in a couple of minutes..

Thank you for your opinion.

Putting aside the float-ups and the “crashing into walls”, your review made some sense…
Although you can hardly call the stuff at the bottom of the level “tilebugs”, for they are hardly noticable, don’t affect gameplay and shouldn’t bother anyone…

Yayz.

Gameplay: Alright, the layout is very easy to learn. It’s almost symmetrical, the only differences are a wall and the bottom middle. That’s good, but the flow is very bad. You have to jump to get over 1-tile high things, since there are no floatups. Almost all springs you run over throw you into a wall and the suckertube at 62.40 doesn’t even work properly if you hold shift (it throws you… into a wall.) Some of these could just been fixed with a few one ways like the tiles at 71.43 and 80.29. Also, the places right and left bottom, with the PU’s need float ups in my opinion.

The springs look like they have been placed with only one direction in mind (like left or right) and only been tested that way. Springs: 54.50, 24.33, 66.51.

Also, you could add red springs to 61.12 and 52.12, maybe it adds to the flow. The Layout is good, but the flow and everything just ruins it.

Weapons: Could be a lot more, like at places around 56.25. This is just lacking, and the level would just have too little ammo for even 2vs2’s.

There DO exist good things :P You have lots of space to run around in, so plenty to dodge attacks.

Eyecandy: Uh, yeah. Hardly anything. The yellow with red bricks is a little, but not too pretty. Lots of tilebugs here, like half yellow bricks and then suddenly red bricks. No real minus points though. The main point is that there’s very little background use, just some of those wires and stuff and a standard background.

Bugs: Springs, float-ups, crashing into walls, missing oneways… that’s all. All gameplay related. It justs… bleh. Get more betatesters next time.

Comment overall level: The layout is nice, but the way the level is made just sucks. Also, there is no music. This level just looks like you didn’t put any work into finishing/tidying it up. You can do way better than this.

EDIT
I’m not into levels where you don’t need to jump, but it still is sad that you have to jump for a 2 tile high thing.

Okay, well, let’s review this level by Emperor. About the eyecandy, it’s decent, but that isn’t bad since the tileset is a bit limited in my opinion. The tubes in the level are really nice, some tubes aren’t that good for the flow maybe, but they aren’t disturbing at all, better – I really like them in this level. With them you can move really fast trough the level. The ammo placement is really, really well. It’s in shapes, (most of the time) not mixed and balanced. The PU’s (especially the Seeker and the Toaster) are close to eachother, but that isn’t disturbing, since that counts for both teams. A negative thing is that there is only one Full NRG, so there will be camped a lot in this level probably. Some places are maybe a bit hard to reach, especially with Jazz, since the level is kinda platformy, so that’s one of the few negative things in this level. Though I really like the layout, it’s origininal – doesn’t really look like the standard levels.

Eyecandy: 17/25
Gameplay: 18/25
Ammo: 18/25
Size: 20/25
Original layout: +3

Total: 7,6 -> 7,7
Download recommendation.

I don’t feel like writing a real review, so I’ll just post a short one.

A fairly large level with a pretty weird layout, and some dead ends that I don’t really like. The flow could be better as you have to jump in some places. There are some turrets which are pretty nice to use when defending, and there are lots of tubes that take a while to find. The gameplay is decent, not very good as it has dead ends like I already said.

Eye candy is pretty basic, although I like some parts like the things in layer 5 which you’ll also find at the border of the level. The turrets are pretty nice to fill up, and everything else is just fine. The blue tiles are in many places, but at least they’re not everywhere.

Placement is decent too. The Full Energy is closer to the right base, that’s one thing I’m sure of. Ammo placement needs more nice shapes of ammo but it’s all right. Power-Up placement is questionable, there are 4 Power-Ups but the Toaster and Seeker Power-Ups are too close to each other. The Seeker Power-Up is also a bit hard to reach for people who aren’t that skilled. There is only one Full Energy carrot which is a bit disappointing. The warp to the Bouncy Power-Up might be a bit hard to find as well.

Overall, this is a decent level. I like it more than Softcake Stew, but it still needs work because the layout was weird. I’m giving the level a 7.4 and that’s that. Download? Not a must, but I give it a download recommendation anyway.

A-hoy hoy, Now for my review of softcake stew.
Eyecandy
This level falls short in the eyecandy category, There is background and a few buildings, but thats it. Indoors away from the empty background we have more eyecandy, at least more eyecandy then outside, Infact it looks rather nice insde, But without good eyecandy everywhere it won’t look all too splended. Some places though it is hard to tell what is solid and what isn’t though, it can get kind of annoying.
You could have probably added another layer of eyecandy outside if you didn’t use layer 6 as a support layer for layer 4.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| – 7.1/10

Gameplay
The gameplay here is better then the eyecandy. The flow may be abit rough here and there, but it would be rather splendid for a smaller amount of people like 4 or 6. It is too easy to RF spam up at the top, and it is abit hard to get into the base from the top, But I still think its fun at the bottom.
Maybe you should have done more obstacles on the top.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| – 7.5/10

Event Placement
The carrot placment is pretty good, you can get it from the bottom and top, and its fun to shoot it all the way down, As for power ups, the seeker power up probably generates a camping zone because it is right there in the open, its a seeker power up, but its hard to hit somone standing in a hole, to the contrary the other power ups are semi uncampable, but they are abit hard to find. As for ammo, there isn’t enough.
Try keeping thing easy to find.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| – 7.3/10

Bonus
-One of my favorate sets +0.1
-No music -0.1
-Not so easy to tell what is solid and what isn’t -0.1
– -0.1/0.5

Overall
Good enough level, although it could use some layout refinement.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| – 7.2/10

Download recommendation?
Sure, It might not be the best level out there, but it is good for an ocasional play.
