Great utility but is there any chance of making a TSF/1.24 version since I mostly play levels on TSF.
EDIT: I love this utility. But the CTF Death trick isn’t working.
@Rionaam: I don’t really know many of the features in 1.23+, but it does allow the music to continue playing even when you get roasted.
@Djazz: I think this was mainly designed to be used in Mulitplayer (MP) rather than Single Player.
No Warp Target at the end of LVL 12.
EDIT: Hitch has fixed it now.
EYECANDY – 1 OUT OF 10
Extremely poor. The Layer 8 BG is just 2 different colours, orange and blue, mixed together. Texture mode is used here and it looks bad. There is no foreground except some completely random “DANGER!” signs floating about in the air.
GAMEPLAY – 1 OUT OF 10
This is what some test levels have, bad gameplay. There are the usual tests that you have to complete. I couldn’t even finish Level 1 because it was too hard to even complete. There is a Morph awkwardly placed just before Level 1. You need Spaz for this level and you can’t get him through there because the Morph item RE-GENERATES and is in the way. You could have put the Morph on a separate platform. I didn’t really like this because it was just too boring and it gets repetitive.

1. You do not need to use the JJ2 music. Please choose something different. Also uploading the music was unnecessary.
2. Try to put some more thought into the eyecandy in the level.
WOW!!! What an awesome patch!!
What this patch does is allow the music in JJ2 to continue as normal when roasted in mulitplayer or single player. Yep, it also works in SP! All you have to do is extract the files to whatever version of JJ2 you have. If you have 1.23 you put the 1.23 patch in the folder where that version of Jazz is. If you have the TSF version, put the 1.24 patch where JJ2 TSF is. Double click on the file and click Start. That’s all you do. Very easy to install and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to every JJ2 player out there! Before, when you played JJ2 and got roasted, the music would just restart from the beginning and would sound weird, but now this problem is fixed. The bug with the “Active Boss” event is now gone! :D

OMG! My first FEATURED review! :D
I’m also getting the same problem. I have both 1.23 and TSF but Carrotade can’t seem to find either of them.
Oh, thanks PJ7! :)
I have just tried it but I have no idea how to use it.
Sorry, but there is nothing “ultimate” about this.
EYECANDY
Poor. The same tile is used too often to make the buildings. Other tiles are also used but they are used incorrectly. Everything looks the same which therefore makes the level repetitive. The Garden is just the Carrotus pole and all the other poles placed in one area. They look rather ugly.
1 OUT OF 10
PLAYABILITY
Poor. There is a Bank with 130 RE-GENERATING Coins which do absolutely NOTHING. There are all these shops which have lots of ammo and lots of PUs which are FREE. Why call it a shop, if everything is free? There are also all the usual things you would find in a Hotel.
2 OUT OF 10
FUN FACTOR
Not much fun is to be had in this level. There is a Pinball Table but it is WAY TOO SMALL. Ice skating is interesting but Jazz gets stuck at the first spring. There is a Quiz but there are only 3 questions with just 2 answers to choose from. Win the quiz and you get some pointless Gems. The test is far too easy, get through that and you get a useless Water Shield.

I wasn’t really expecting much from this level. All that has been done is that Epic’s “Battle1” level has had it’s tileset changed to Tubelectric.
Little or no attempt has been made at putting Eyecandy in this level. Only Layers 4 & 8 are used. The same Red Brick tiles are used too much. The background is only the dark red brick tiles used repetitively. Only the yellow bricks have been used on the hills. But everywhere else just appears red. Some of the tiles don’t even join together correctly. The V-Pole below the RF Ammo and the Vines near where the Blue Springs are appear invisible due to the dark red background.
If you look in the top right corner at positions 110,1 – 128,5 you will see a weird inaccessible area with 3 enemies, some weapons, power-ups and items. Either this was put there for no reason or the author forgot to remove it.
SUMMARY
GOOD POINTS
None that I can think of.
BAD POINTS
Repetitive background
Same red tiles used too often.
Some tiles do not even tile correctly.
Weird inaccessible area at the top right.

LEVEL PACK PLAYING TIME: 1-2 hours
EYECANDY: The Eyecandy ROCKS! The backgrounds and foregorunds are SUPER! It looks like a proper city. The levels NEVER felt empty as there was eyecandy everywhere you went. 10/10
GAMEPLAY: There are 2 levels in this pack but they are HUGE! I was on the first level for about 1 hour. There’s so much to do in both these levels. I had this whole pack finished in about 1:30! 10/10
PICKUPS & PLACEMENT: There are so many items to pick up in this level. Lots of weapons, food, gems and some coins. Everything is placed really well. Power-ups are hidden rather than out in the open. My only gripe is the Bonus Area in LV2, you can blow up the blocks with TNT and use the RF Jump trick to get up there. But apart from that everything is placed really well. 9/10
EVENTING: I really loved the way the “Flick Light” events were used on the street light objects. I also loved the way it went darker when you were in front of a building. 10/10
ENEMIES: Not too many or too less. Enemies are NOT found in annoying places like on the edge of platforms. They are placed perfectly. 10/10

The music in LV1 just ROCKS. I love that White Coffee music. +0.1

I’m sorry to say this, but these are NOT the best levels.
I don’t think this review is gonna be too long.
EYECANDY: Poor backgrounds in Layer 8 in all levels. Improper use of tilesets, most of the tiles don’t even tile properly. Background in the Carrotus level was badly placed. Only layers 4 & 8 used in Carrotus level. Other levels use layer 5 but backgrounds still look poor. 1/10
WEAPON & ITEM PLACEMENT: Poor. Weapons and items are far too easy to access. They can be found out in the open. 1/10
I can’t really think of anything else to say.

This is the 5th test in about 2-3 weeks now. Test levels are OK, but I think there are too many on J2O right now.
Please choose different music, you do not need to use JJ2’s.
I got the 2 same text events coming up a lot in this level.
I’m not gonna rate this because I find test levels kinda boring now.
OK, I’m gonna try to review this.
There are 3 Tileset Conversions in this pack. This is a conversion of Epic’s original Jungle set.
I like the colours on the Day set. I think the green goes well on the ground and the leaves on the trees. PJ7 has also added some new tiles. Some of these include the Tubes from the Tubelectric JJ2 levels. These would make great sucker tubes. The tree background from Diamondus has also been added to the Jungle Paradise set. There is also some cool waterfall effects which can be used in the background and some great rain effects that can be used in the Foreground. There are some things I also don’t really like though. I think that the orange background on the Eve set looks a bit too bright. I also think that the purple in the Night set also looks a bit too dark. I know it’s for use in Night but I just don’t really like it. The water colour looks a bit odd too on the Eve & Night sets. I can’t think what else to say. I’m going to give this a 7.5 because I do like this conversion. The Day set was the best out of them. I wasn’t really a big fan of the Eve and Night sets.

I hope this was enough. I haven’t really reviewed that many Tilesets. I mainly review SP levels.

LEVEL PACK PLAYING TIME: 10-15 mins for first time players of this pack. Less if you have played before.
LEVEL 1
EYECANDY: The background looks a bit dull as there is nothing in Layers 5, 6 or 7. No foreground either. Layer 3 is used but only for the collapsing sand. 3/10
GAMEPLAY: This level is too short. This can be finished in about 1 min – 1:30. The objective in this level is to avoid all the 3 traps and get to the end. Dull. 2/10
ENEMIES: There are not enough enemies in this level to kill you. There’s some Crabs, Tube Turts and some Fish. 2/10
OBSTACLES: There are 3 traps in this level as I have mentioned before:
1. There is a pit full of Gems. Fall for the trick and you are trapped.
2. There are some “!” blocks with 2 ways to go. Choose the wrong way and you are trapped AGAIN.
3. There is some Collapsing Scenery in the sand about half-way through the level. Fall down through this and guess what happens. Trapped YET AGAIN.
I found these traps annoying. I do not like these “JJK” moments. 3/10
PICKUPS: Gems. But you’re trapped if you go for them. 1/10
LEVEL 1 MARK: 11/50
LEVEL 2
EYECANDY: This time there is a background in Layers 6 & 7 but it looks kinda empty when not in the water. 4/10
GAMEPLAY: I couldn’t really understand the objective in this level. You have to find a flashing block which then displays the message “ACCESS GRANTED.” I go to the other end of the level and jump out the water to find that this is the end. Confusing. 3/10
ENEMIES: Not that many. Some Crabs, Tube Turts and Fish. Not really enough to kill you. 2/10
OBSTACLES: There’s a Destruct Scenery block where the flashing block is. Not that many obstacles in the level. 1/10
PICKUPS: Some Seeker (Gun4) ammo and gems but that’s just about it really. 2/10
LEVEL 2 MARK: 12/50
LEVEL 3
EYECANDY: Hard too really see any eyecandy when you are being sucked up really fast. But there was not much of a background. No foreground. Looks OK in the water. 4/10
GAMEPLAY: Errr… You’ll just being sucked up really fast. Not much Gameplay in this level. Level ends in about 20-30 seconds. 1/10.
ENEMIES: Some Fish, but it’s hard to be killed by them. 1/10.
OBSTACLES: None at all. 1/10
PICKUPS: Bouncer (Gun3) ammo and Gems but it’s impossible to pick them all up as you are moving too fast to get everything. 1/10
LEVEL 3 MARK: 8/50
LEVEL 4
EYECANDY: I really do not like the background at all. The fast moving stars are annoying and could even give you a headache. Not much else to see in the way of eyecandy in this level. The meteors do not tile very well with the background. 1/10.
GAMEPLAY: You have to follow a path of meteors to Devan’s ship. This can get boring. 1/10
ENEMIES: None at all. 1/10
OBSTACLES: None at all. 1/10
PICKUPS: Just some RF Rocket (Gun5) ammo. Nothing else. 1/10
LEVEL 4 MARK: 5/50
LEVEL 5
EYECANDY: The grey background does look a bit dull as that is all you can see most of the time. You will then see some moving meteors in the background while fighting Devan which look pretty cool. 4/10
GAMEPLAY: First you have to get through some Destruct Scenery using the 3 Weapons you collected in the previous levels. If you don’t have them then the text says that you have to type “JJK” 4 times. Huh? Can’t really see how that helps. Once you are through the Destruct Scenery, you then Buttstomp into a room where you have to enter a code. If it’s wrong then you’re stuck there which is bad. You could have used the CTF Instant Death trick. After entering the correct code, you then Buttstomp down and then go on to fight Devan. The code idea is cool but getting stuck there isn’t. Level is also short. Finished in about 2-3 minutes. 5/10.
ENEMIES: None, except Devan. 1/10
OBSTACLES: The Destruct Scenery at the beginning and the Code room. Nothing else though. 3/10
PICKUPS: Nothing to pick up whatsoever. 1/10
LEVEL 5 MARK: 14/50
The credits level follows but I don’t think there’s any point in rating it.

PHEW! Finally done after about 30 minutes. 750+ WORDS!
It would have also been better if you included the music files rather than getting us to search for it.
OK, here’s a fresh one. I did rate that one a bit wrong. So, I’ll try again.
The colour of the castle has been changed to light blue but it does get boring after a while. I don’t really like the green on some of the tiles, it’s too bright. There are some other tiles ripped from other sets by the looks of it, these are the seaweed and the background for layer 8. The ripped tiles do look a bit grainy. It’s an OK set but it’s not the best. It looks OK underwater but I don’t think this set would be used that much. I’m gonna give this a 6.5 because it’s not terrible but it can be improved.
Originally, this was a 9.2, but I rated the wrong things.

First time reviewing a Treasure Hunt level.
EYECANDY: Errrrr… No background in Layer 5, 6, 7 or 8. Level looks really bad. Tiles randomly thrown together from the Jungle tileset. Nothing else to say. 1/10

I know this review seems really short but there wasn’t much else to review in the level.
No warp target after LVL 11.
Hitch: No problem! :)
Smallest Tileset Ever indeed.
EYECANDY: In the set there are just 9 tiles. Only the basic tiles can be found like blocks, slopes, 2 tiles for a background and one vine tile which can be used in the Foreground. This set is lacking some other things including signs, destruct scenery (blocks with star on them) and also Buttstomp scenery (blocks with Exclamation marks). Hmmmm… as FOD says, there are in fact 10 tiles if you count the blank. 6/10
LAYOUT: There are only 9 tiles but you can do still do an OK level with them. 5/10
EASE OF USE: Only 9 tiles means this set will be very easy to use. 10/10
USEFULNESS: Although it is easy to use, I don’t think it would be very useful for making a level pack. Maybe just 1 or 2 levels but probably no more than that. I can’t see this set being used that much. 5/10
MASKING: All tiles are masked correctly. It would be strange if a 9 tile set wasn’t. LOL! 10/10
EXAMPLE LEVEL: I was AMAZED at what was achievable with just 9 tiles. You’re in what looks like a Wood. Does not count in rating.

This tileset is OK but it’s not one of the best.
EYECANDY: There are some drawn Sonic characters in the set which look pretty good. Some of the tiles do look a bit grainy though. The custom food items are cool. 6/10
LAYOUT: There are quite a lot of tiles in this set, though not as much as Disguise’s Mega Megatropolis and Galavant’s Miracle of Sun. 7/10
EASE OF USE & USEFULNESS: It is quite easy to use but I don’t think this would be one of the sets that would be used that much. It wouldn’t really be that useful in making a level pack unless you intend to make a Sonic level. EOU SCORE = 5/5 USEFULLNESS SCORE = 2/5. TOTAL = 7/10

IMO, I don’t think this is worth an 8 but it’s a good try though. Try not to make the tiles look too grainy.
Edited to correct maths errors.
OMG!! This tileset is MASSIVE!!!
EYECANDY: There are so many tiles in this set. The backgrounds are impressive. When you use it in a level it looks really cool. There are LOADS of Jazz characters that can be used. Jazz, Spaz and Lori each come in lots of different colours. 10/10
LAYOUT: The set is ENORMOUS!! Most of the space has been used. There are well over 3000 TILES!!! 10/10
EASE OF USE: The set is HUGE so it would be quite hard to use. That’s why this doesn’t quite get a 10. 9/10
MASKING: Everything is masked correctly. No masking bugs or errors found. 10/10
EXAMPLE LEVELS: There are 3 SP example levels in this pack. The first one is HUGE (700 × 68) but has a bug in it, going into the OPTIONS will crash JJ2, dunno why. The second one is short and has a bug in it. Halfway through that level, JJ2 crashes and comes up with Amnesia error. The third level is the credits which is very well done. I would give these levels a 10 but can’t coz it’s against the rules to rate the levels in a Tileset upload so the levels don’t count towards the rating.

A very nice conversion of the popular Diamondus tileset.
EYECANDY: Changes to the tileset include: different coloured tiles and some really cool rain and lightning effects. It looks really good. 9/10
EASE OF USE: The set is easy to use. You can use it like the old Diamondus sets. Rain and lightning can also be used. 9/10
