Lol this is a cute tileset.
Tiles
There is no animations but I won’t rate that down. there’s spikes, hook and vine, background that can go textured, basic slope and a basic block. This is so tiny, yet everything tiles good and it looks correct. You can actually make something out of this.
7/10
Masking
100% perfect. But still I won’t because of how small it is.
pallet events
Almost all of them work thanks to the few colors that are in the tileset. Great job there

DR? I know my rating may seem silly. But this is a great tileset considering it’s size and it’s basically the novelty that keeps it up. download just for the lols right now.
This is a copy and paste of the my last review for your download.
If this is you’re first time making levels let me say good job! This is above average by far. I also played this in medium.
Eyecandey:
Great. You used a background similar to the official levels so it has tilebugs in them. But other then that no tilebugs! Everything fits together. The background looks good and you even used the foreground. (Which looks very good)The bricks look good and I like the tileset usage. The eyecandey can look repetitive in some areas but considering you don’t have much to chose in castle, it looks good. I liked it, good tileset usage, low tilebugs. Great eyecandey. I’d give it a higher rating if you used windows in the floor. (The bar ones)
7/10
Gameplay:
I don’t know why but I got hooked. I had fun with the level. I have no clue why but I got hooked. There were some nice puzzles but they were to easy to solve. Enough enemies to make me die, and interesting concepts like invisible poles. (I like the idea as it looks good.)I’d give the gameplay a 8 if there wasn’t for one thing. The warp. If you haven’t collected 100 coins by the time you get to the warp your have to restart the entire level and with the re-generating enemies,, the lack of carrots becuase you used 70% of them alreaty and because it takes another 4 minutes to reach the warp again makes it very annoying. You should have placed it closer. The level is about 7-8 minutes long. So I’ll give you an 8 for puzzle usage, the fact I got hooked and because I love the text strings.
7/10
Enemy placement:
Great. Enough to kill me even with all the carrots. Half of them re-generate with can get annoying but it adds a challenge if you don’t get all the coins. A wide variety was used and they all fit in. (Except the bees) So I’ll give you a 8 just because there are to many re-generating enemies which can get annoying.
8/10
pickup placement:
Good. The coins were well hidden, good ammo placement, extra lives were to easy to get. Also there is this one area that has 3 power ups and you have to go though there. Don’t do that! There’s also way to much food. I got 2 sugar rushes! Nice us bombs though. Considering all the enemies I think the carrot placement was great.
7/10

D/R? Yes. The gameplay is just fun and addicting. even if this pack is short lived while it does, it’s fun! Download this one right away
Um you do know that there was a better Tubelectric tileset then this? The one by Noka is great. If oyu ever make a tubelectric level again use Nokas it has more features.
Edit: Well good luck. Hope you have luck with the tilesets. You definitely have skill in level making. Keep at it and you will definitely go somewhere. Btw if you ever need help with beta test feel free to send me a PM
Ok let’s get one review in the Oven!
What this is
This is basically a conversion of a mario game. It does contain a lot of things, but not everything is perfect.
Tiles
Well not bad here. There are lots of things from switch, to mario, to spikes, to turtles and of course, pipes. There are some things missing like exit signs, hooks, belts and a textured background. The background that you do get is pretty cool as well. There are some cool destruct blocks that are made to look like mario blocks. Overall, good work on the blocks. I just wish a little more was added.
7/10
Animations
Animations where good. There are quite a couple of them, most of them being mario and luigi sprites. There is those weird musical blocks and switches as well. i would have like a little more though like those flashing yellow-gold blocks and rotating question marks. Good animations.
7/10
Masking
Well I have to say, the masking is very buggy. Everything should be a straight line and there are little pixles of mask floating in the air. The mask is average, but very buggy.
5/10
Color
Color’s look good for the most part, look good. Some tiles like the musical blocks look kinda bad though and look like they have been through color reduction. Color’s are pretty good, but not perfect.
7/10
Pallet Events
You know, I don’t think the author even knows what they are because nothing is leading into the pallet of the image when loaded into Pallet Suite. I’ll be nice and won’t rate that part.
Reusability
It’s not great, but still good. I would have like some castle tiles and underground tiles to go with this tileset as you are limited to what you can make.
4/10
Final Score: 32/50
Score: 7
Rank: B
DR? while this tileset does have flaws, it’s very usable. I say go ahead and download. It’s pretty good.
Time to review the pack that inspired me to make levels!
Let’s go.
Story
Now this could be a simple boring plot of Devan is taking over the world thing. This is however, different. Basically it’s been years since Jazz defeated Devan Shell. his henchmen have invaded the small Colony of Deserto. You are a civilian who is living in the other side of the town. You decide to jump the barricade to find out what has happened. From there, it is your mission to rid Deserto of Devan’s forces. This may sound simple, but there are tons of plot twist along the way. The story is compelling and is one of my favorits!
10/10
Eyecandey
Wow. Just wow. Deserto isn’t really rich in eyecandey, but Mike proofed T was an idiot. the tilebug number is 0. Everything fits. If that’s not enough, the backgrounds look great. Foregrounds aren’t used much but that didn’t really bug me. The little details are incredible. The way the sand looks is great and a lot of stuff really looks natural. The weird planet you visit looks really cool and so does the temple. Overall, Great work! I loved the eyecandey and even by today’s standards, it still holds up great!
10/10
Gameplay
Now here is something refreshing and new. Unlike a lot of episodes where you just run and shoot, you actually have to think. A lot of puzzles are very hard to figure out and some of the secrets really break your neck. All the levels are very nice and long making it so it’s lasts a while. The secrets really boost the replay value. Most of the levels are open ended and feel very wide, even when there is only one place to go. Lots of cool little things are done like pits that kill you if you fall in. (Until I played this episode, I didn’t know you could do that)Some things like the disappearing platforms in the Temple level are annoying to death but that doesn’t really hurt the rating. the levels are very hard, even on easy which means you ARE going to die. At times I felt like this is what the jazz 2 campaign should have been like. The music is well choicen and so are the bosses, being one of the few packs to use rocket turtle. Overall, the gameplay sucks you in and never lets you go. you are compelled to keep playing, just to find out what happens and to just keep having fun.
10/10
Enemy Placement
While at times the enemy placement can be evil, there well choicen and the placement is great. They are put is strategic locations and there are lots of them. This was one of the few campaigns to give me a continue screen. Sometimes the enemies are evil and are hidden, but that hardly matters as it means you can’t rush through. You have to think and be careful of where you step. Great Enemy placement!
10/10
Pickup Placement
Great AGAIN. Ammo can be a little scarce at times, but the placement is great as it means you can’t weapon spam and it makes you think at times, where and when am I going to use my ammo. Coins are hidden well adding to the replay and the food was great too, only giving you a sugar rush every3 levels or so. The gem thing was a nice touch but some of them you have to be suicidal to get. There are few powerups and they are hard to find and get to. Great placement!
10/10
Final Score:50/50
Score: 10
Rank: S
DR? this is easily one of the best packs on J2o and you would have to be an idiot with AIDS not to download right now! Play, and never regret it.
Alright. Even though I have to agree that this isn’t the strongest Pack in the series, it’s still a must play.
Story
As always, the story is enjoyable. Even though there isn’t as many plot twists, the story is still enjoyable and the telling of it is still top notch. I’m going to go into detail on the last episodes. Go play those if you want to know. In this one, you play the Deserto resident, battling your way through carrotus to find Devan. there are a couple of things that are left hanging but I’ll let you find them out.
10/10
Eyecandey
Not your best work. When you first begin, the castle level looks great! It felt really creepy. The carrotus levels are a lot more basic, but that’s not saying there isn’t much use of eyecandey. lots of layer 3 is used and the backgrounds look good. the city levels are pretty basic and not much is given. I loved the mine level was well as the theme was great, really looking creepy. Won’t comment of the next level because that’s a plot twist. Forest path is probably my favorite level in terms of eyecandey. everything looks natural and the green scenery looks great. Good use of the layers is also present. The city level’s don’t ok great, but still pass. Overall, good eyecandey, I just with the carrotus and city levels looked a little better.
8/10
Gameplay
Once again great. Level one was great and had a cool puzzle involving a floating lizard. The lake levels are a lot more basic, having only a few puzzles. The first city level was also basic in gameplay and not much was given. It was still enjoyable though. The mine level was very confusing and open ended. I only found the end by running around in circles. when you get to forest path, the gameplay spikes greatly. This level is heavily puzzle biased and you are going to die. there is this one puzzle that I couldn’t figure out but it was at the end of the level so It won’t affect anything. The city levels are basically just boss and plot levels. the length is fairly good on this one but doesn’t have as much replay as the first 3 episodes. Difficulty is kept down by quite a bit and I was hoping for Episode 3 difficulty. the puzzles are also a lot more basic but that doesn’t mean there not enjoyable. Overall, good gameplay, i was just expecting a little from like Episode 3.
8/10
Enemy Placement
Great. Enemies are put is good locations and there is enough o kill you. The forest level is bad with this because the bats are green and they blend in with the background. The bosses are well choicen but there aren’t as many and they aren’t as hard. Still good job!
9/10
Pickup Placement
The pickups are almost perfect. Carrots are fine in most levels and there is enough to survive. Food is in good hands you won’t keep getting sugar rushes. Ammo is good as well and it’s well choicen, making you need to think sometimes on how to use your ammo. The gems are good as well as they add both eyecandy and gameplay. One ups aren’t that common which is good. Save points are also good except in forest path. overall, I think the placement is great and is definitely up to mikes standards.
10/10
Final Score:45/50
Score: 9
Rank: A
DR? Even though this mikes weakest pack, that still doesn’t mean you have to avoid it. Play this right away as it is still a fun pack to play.
Nice! I like the water idea. Good ammo placement. Good eyecandey. Powerups are to easy to get to. Good level. Download Recomeneded.
[Review changed to quick review. – cooba]
could be worse.
What this is
This is basically a tileset conversion containing 3 different tilesets. (Deckstar, Industrial and Muckomok) While the idea seem s good on paper, it isn’t that good.
Tiles
Well, like I said we got three different tilesets. While there is a lot of tiles to work with, lots are missing. A lot of animation aren’t here, tiles are missing from ALL the tilesets. No Jazz 1 signs and were missing the blink arrows. (there there, but not animated) We got destruct blocks, vines and that’s it. the only background to use is a little blue square of color which is pathetic and a weird space sky thing, tubes, spikes and that’s about it. Overall, this would get a 2 by itself, but because it’s three different tilesets I raise my rating.
5/10
Animations
While some of them are here, like the static tvs, a lot of animations are missing like the spinning platforms, glowing arrows, tubes, acid and much more. Too much is missing.
3/10
Colors
WAY off. Many things look like they lost a lot of color and a lot of them look MSpainty. You call this a conversion? The colors suck and some of the black wasn’t replaced.
2/10
Pallet Events
Won’t rate because they are usually forgotten. But nothing works. There’s not even a textured background!
Masking
Masking isn’t bad. there’s some things that aren’t supposed to be masked though. More straight lines could have been used. Overall, most of the mask is good.
7/10
Reusability
Great! this tileset is great for reusability as you have three different themes to chose from. GREAT!
9/10
Final Score: 26/50
Score: 5.5
Rank: D
DR? This is a hard one. This is a Farley decent tileset. but fails as a conversion. I’ll leave my rating as N/A as it’s basically a matter of opinion.
Now this is any sonic fans dream. A complete conversion of the lost Hidden Palace Zone. How does it stack up?
Tiles
My god. My **** god. This is great! i have played through Hidden Palace Zone before and EVERYTHING is here! the flashing bridge, tubes, Master emerald, background, and all the blinking lights you can handle. Even those slopes are in here! Waterfalls, water sides are in here as well! there are even poles and vines! I know that usually i give a lower mark for lack of textured background and stuff like that, but this totalness of this conversion just outweighs that. I love it and it would make any sonic fan happy!
10/10
Animations
Great! All the animations from hidden palace are here and kicking. Nothing is missing! Goreat job!
10/10
colors
PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! Everything looks correct.
10/10
pallet events
I’m not rating for anything like poles or anything. All I have to say is what happened to the water? There was water in hidden Palace.
Masking
Masking is pretty good. Straight lines for the most part and everything tiles without masking bugs. Great job!
10/10
Reusability
Well not so great. you are limited thanks to no outdoor background. You cans till do quite a bit though with this tileset. I just wish there was an outdoor background so I could do a mixture.
7/10
Final score: 47/50 +-5 points for being TSF only. You could have taken away some things to make room.
Score: 9.2
Rank: A
DR? Hell yeah! This is every sonic fans dream of a conversion. this would get a 10 if there was an outdoor background and it was 1.23 Download right now!
??????
Eyecandey: Bland. Nothing there at all. Layer 8 but that’s all. (maybe a little layer 3) The eyecandey is so bland I could have made something like this in 2 minutes! Layer 4 is empty and you used about 6 tiles and 1 animation.
1/10
Gameplay: Non. All it is you fall trough a hole and go to a badly done boss. All you do is kill turtles (Which there are to many of them) while dodging Tuf boss boomerangs. There’s a robot boss at the top but he’s impossible to get to. I couldn’t see a way to complete the level. If you can complete the level I’ll update my review. Edit: You can complete it, but the SCE spawns so slowly I died before even one forth of the health was gone!
1/10
Pickups: Non. Period.
1/10
Final Score: 3/30
Rank: F
DR? I just can’t say yes. But keep trying! My levels used to look like this and now I’ve greatly improved. Just keep practicing!
My god. If you want to have fun with hard bosses, this is it. This is harder then trying to beat Jazz 2 without getting hit, on hard, with only blaster, and only 20 enemies defeated!
Eyecandey
Wow. did you even try? No this is bad. just a couple of castle blocks put together to make the most boring thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t stand the eyecandey.
1/10
Gameplay
You may think that this may be fun but no. the bosses are impossible. You got dragons, vines, spikes, and tuff bosses in one little arena making it look like a room of torture. The bosses are impossible to defeat without JJGOD enabled. Even if this for a joke, tit’s not funny.
1/10
Ammo
AH! No enough. You WILL be using your blaster the most and with all those enemies, you might as well write out your will right now.
1/10
Enemies
EVIL! The room is trying to kill you. You won’t live!
1/10
Final score: 4/10
Score: 1
Rank: F
DR? what do you think?
Not the best but good Eyecandey and gameplay. Not bad but I’ll give a 8.
Time for a full review!
Layout:
Good layout. Easy to use. Layout is self explanatory. Graphics aren’t that good but this IS only patch as well as it was made with some sort of program. Glad they added the warning. Nice stuff! Couldn’t be easier to use.
Buggs:
No bugs. Just run the patch on the jazz2.exe and there you go. Not bugs whatsoever.
Usefulness:
Ah what a great patch. You can not play bigger music files. (But huge ones will still do things. I played a 32 megabyte music file and my computer crashed.)You can save in big levels like QOB and the invasion of Deserto space base. Very useful!
My score:10
D/R? This is one of the most useful patches you can download. Download right now. Same goes for the 1.23 version! Download now!
Time to boost my review rating!
Sigh. Why do people upload this junk?
Complains right off the bat
This is a list of thinks that are going to make your rating do down right now.
1: Tileset name is to long
2: Black isn’t replaced
3:Lots of tiles looked ripped.
There. You’ve lost 2 points and I haven’t even started the review.
Tiles
Most of these tiles are garbage. All of them are bad quality and black isn’t replaced. A lot of the tileset is made of up Doom characters which like some people said, are useless. There are slopes and stuff but I hardly care. There’s a large portion of tiles that are ripped some somewhere along with the letters. Even the riped stuff has been modified to look horrible. I think some of it is supposed to be destroyed furniture, but they don’t even come close to resembling anything like that. The mountains also looked riped and the background the same thing.
Overall, bad tiles because there horrible quality and a lot of it is ripped without credit.
1/10
Animations
the main animations come from the doom characters, but there’s sow few flames they all look bad. Only thing that looks good is the flames.
1/10
Pallet Events
Won’t rate because most beginners don’t even know about them. But non work.
Mask
Auto mask nuff said.
1/10
Usability
Normally this is reusability, but this tileset is so bad it’s barley usable at all. Not much tiles at all and the doom characters are useless.
1/10
Final score: 4/10 -2=2/10
Score: 1
rank: Z
DR? No. Spend more time and read some tutorials. And a warning to all level makers. If you use this tileset, I will slap you. (JK moderators)
Now this is a cool tileset.
What this is
This is a really cool tileset. This is basically the opposite of Agmina’s Heaven tileset. I think it’s save to say if you went to hell, it would look something like this.
Tiles
Lots of great tiles to use! the basic ground and slopes are here and they look really nice, having a 3d look on them. We got hooks, vines, polls, destruct blocks, tubes and a kick butt background. The background looks great and it really fits well. There’s no textured bacgkournd which was a let down but other then that, great job. there’s a little layer 3 stuff likes, chains, LOTS of lava, bubbles and weird shaped rocks. I would have liked some skulls or some of the other stuff from Damn. Still great work!
8/10
Animations
The main animations are the lava and and fire. The background lava fall looks slow while at 10 frames per second, but look really cool if it is increased to 70. The flames are also good but there are ripped. The bubbles are ripped but look good. I would have liked some more animations, but what’s there is good!
7/10
Colors
The color’s look great! Lots of yellow and orange and black. It does look kinda plain in some places, but the colors are correct and really add to the theme of the tileset!
8/10
Pallet Events
Since it’s obvious there wasn’t attempt to make any, I won’t rate.
Masking
Masking is flawless. everything is a straight line and all the vines and hooks are makes properly. Great!
10/10
Reusability
This doesn’t have that many uses other then hell, but still you got options. You can make huge lava filled chambers or a huge cave. You’re limited in ways, but in other ways you have lots of option.
8/10
Final Score:41/50
Score: 8.5
Rank: A
DR? Yes. this is a great tileset and I can’t wait for a chance I get to use it.
Perfect! All the tiles are here! Great stuff!
This is great! Love it! 10 all the way.
BTW good job on getting the best rating a tileset has ever gotten. (I’ve yet to see another tileset with a 10 as an average rating XD Agima came close)
Love it! Perfect I think! Great mask, tiles and animations! Good exapmle levels! Love it!
