This is really one nice pack. Memories 2: Radiant Garden has several levels, all CTF, all good.
The first level is a beauty. MK uses the Chateau tileset, which I always found hard to use. I didn’t really think the music fit, but oh well. Good size, good level.
Most of the others were as good, if not better. The 3rd one was my favorite. I didn’t really think the TransFoosion one was done to its best, but the tileset doesn’t really have that many options. Some of them got repetitive, but oh well.
In short this pack is awesome, and I recommend dl’ing it.

To sum it all up in one neat little paragraph, This pack is awesome. XLM have really outdone themselves this time, bringing the collective community of J2O the greatest MP pack loaded with battles, ctfs and doms. Each level will be honored with a review, then the whole pack itself.

Past of Fortress Renovation

This level uses some amazing eyecandy. With a purplish bg, industrial-natural tiles, a painful but anti-pointless pit, some well-placed ammo pickups and more, many good ideas went into this level.

I didn’t like how the level was pretty small. I never did go over for super-small levels. The warp didn’t cover the whole pit, but this may have been an aspect of level design. good marks!

Fortress Renovation

Another high-marked level using the done-to-death-but-still-some-good Windstorm Fortress tileset. This ‘un is in a fortress newly renovated, with fresh paint [no, it doesn’t really look like paint though], another pit, more nice ammo, and very little to argue with. Good things went into here, and I enjoyed playing it very much. Good one!

The Shrine

Hmm. I didn’t like this as much, in part because there wasn’t really any background eyecandy, the level was also small and had a large amount of carrots. Still, some clever eyecandy ideas were used in the foreground, lending it a somewhat evocative nature. Good again!

Hall of Legends

Another nice level, with good eyecandy using 1ups and purple gems, a neato water/freezie pit, and PU’s in the wall. Nifty design plus good event placage equal a great battelic level.

Hidden Forest Shrine

An AMAZING level, with the Jungle 2.0 Evening tileset. Wonderful tileset eye candy, with waterfalls, junglebuildings, leaves and more, and a small pit or two at the bottom. Kindof small, but this hardly affects the level itself. Great job.

Underground Hunting

L33T stage, using Disguise’s Nature’s Ruins tileset. Features bizarre leaf-and-rock designs, great usage of trees and events. Was another small level, as most of the levels here were. Ho well. Good job anyway.

Headhitting

Yet another good level, with the Jung 2.0 Day tileset, with such marvelous emblems as thick trees, dark caves, lots of hidden passages and a funny text string or two. [you got it wrong, I’m afraid. It was NOT Africa! IT WAS MESOPOTAMIA!!!!!!!!!!!] Minus 15 points for getting the world location wrong [this was a joke, for all you review nutties]. No, this level did not have the “small level curse” that plagued most of the others. It was a great battle, that should definitely make the bash next time around.

Epic Elements

Wow. This was probably my favorite level of the whole pack. It uses Galavant’s Gothic Cathedral tileset in a way I never thought possible. Instead of making you think you were inside a church or a medieval town, it actually gave me the feeling of a small jungle temple. Great greenery, flowers and more were used, making it an amazing pack level.

Untitled Prupel Level (:p)

Another greatest level, using the Desolation tileset. Without the textured background. And I hafta admit, it looks all the better without it! The pipes and composite fencing are used together quite well, and the different orientation of blocks really caused this level to shine. GOOD NUMBER HERE!!!

Condemned

Wow. This also stands out in my mind as quite the notable level. Using the Beach +Evil tileset [which btw was designed by Purplejazz (and Birdie), who built the level, which means that he could do practically anything he wanted with it], it has greenery, ship components, a water area at the base of the level, it rocks too. It did seem small like many other levels, which was a common malady of this pack. Oh well. Who cares?

Time Forest

First off. What’s with the tricked-out name? It sounds odd. Secondly, due to the level of details, it didn’t seem too much for the last battle in the pack. The quality was just great, with plenty of railings, construction signs, halos+events, and monitors [using one of the MEZ tilesets], but the level is the smallest of the pack. Odd…. Still, it is quite a good level, even if a bit small and a bit lesser in quality. Still good.

Now we move on, to the CTF levels…..

City of the Snooze

Hahaha. Very funny title. Still, a great average-sized CTF level with good base placement, an amazing sense of eyecandy, great layout and structure. It was a rocking level, with a unique pink-yellow background that I have never seen before [at least, not in a Colonius level], and yet fit nicely. Good!

Restplace of the Snooze

These levels were predominately designed by Snooze, weren’t they? Anyway, nice level, although there wasn’t really much variety in eyecandy. The bases provided easy commute between, but this is common in many good levels. Nice job on the level!

Forest Green

My second favorite level, Forest Green contains several funny text strings [No kidding…..Hmm……hmm…I LUV Cheese!!!! :)], Good base placement, great events, great eyecandy with trees and all. Very well done. It did again seem a bit small, but oh well.

Ancient Abyss
???? This level has a VERY unusual Singleplayer start pos., right above the Red Base! ?!?!?!?!!! The level has amazing eyecandy, though, using the ever-resourcable Dam Nation tileset. The bases were extremely close together [?!], and structure was an okay issue, but this level was slightly less than the others.

My review would now be done except for those blasted DOM levels….

Systematic Crash [EDIT: Tileset added!]

Another curious title, another fantastic level. Using the IC conversion of Dreempipes, it has a good size, great event placage, eyecandy such as green rocks, silver pipes [and gold ones], water, silver-dot walls and more. This level has some great angles.

The abundance of hidden shortcuts make this level all the better. Not a hugely large amount of original eyecandy, but enough to satisfy me.

Hoven

This was my 3rd fav level in the entire pack and should, in my unestimable opinion, win the Christmas contest hands-down, without a single standing competitor. It excels in this category with amazing trees, light poles, houses, alternate unwalkable roads purely ornamental, and so much more. Layout is nice, and it really gave me a thrill to play it.

The lonnnnnngest _PT32 review to date is wrapped up here…._

Like the italics say.
Quite an amazing pack. No, amazing doesn’t quite cut it. Incredible, awesome, sweet. These are all words I would heartily use to describe it.

There are a few tarnished spots on the pack (the infinite smallness, weird random base misalignments, the missing tileset was a BIG one), but none of them can really stand the test of time.
The truth is, to put it bluntly, Codename: Alliance is the best multiplayer pack out there yet, and I don’t know if anything could ever beat it. Download it right now. It could and will {I guarantee it!} change your definition of gaming altogether.
Time to go play some, so taa-taa-for-now!!!

Rating raised to 9.7, now that tileset is included.

Wow. People who give out 10.0’s and use a quick review so you can’t give it the helpful rating it deserves are noobs.
Thoughts aside, let’s begin…

(If I bold something, it means you should probably FIX IT.)

THE LEVEL
This level has improved greatly since the last one. It’s far from perfect, but still better than the last version. Marian has fixed many [NOT all, just many] bugs in his stage, made it a bit more interesting, and livened it up with a nice and fitting music song. It is TSF only, because there are many Jazz/Spaz only specific areas. Like doublejumping and uppercutting.

However, despite its obvious perks, Easter Day is still r-i-d-d-l-e-d with bugs, boring stretches and ripoffs from actual Epic levels. The part with the blast’em blocks [with a BUTTSTOMP SYMBOL :(:(:(] with a space in each row….Ripped from “Bad Pitt”. The part with the staggered carrots…Ripped from, well, ALL the Carrotus levels. The spike puzzle was very annoying and merely was a bunch of spike bolls in a long stretch. The unusually high concentration of crates made it even more annoying. Notable, however, is the fact that the crate puzzles WERE unique [to an extent] and kept me going. Thousands of tile bugs [and at least one spring bug] complete the wreckage, leading me to wonder how far the state of BETATESTERS has degraded these days….
This is all fixable, though. First and foremost, Fix the darned tile bugs. Fix the spring trap between the platforms. Ten out of ten times I would get stuck in it. ALWAYS HAVE A FEW BETATESTERS RUN OVER YOUR LEVEL BEFORE SUBMITTING IT! Very important. Take out the Epic puzzles and replace them with your own. Yours are good enough that you do not need to thieve from Epic.

So, what to leave you with…..
GREAAAAT improvement, though still badly in need of help. You fixed the annoying boss bug from the last level [yay Just keep chugging away, and watch it go. Neutral DL recommendation, as it’s a massive improvement over version 1, but still needs huge amounts of work. Good job!

No,it does NOT deserve a 10!!!!!
But, it’s more than a 1….

Level was fairly boring, with basically a lonnnnnnnnng drop with nothing to do but sit and watch until the warp brings you back to the top, for more drops. I dunno, I have this thing in real life about sudden, long drops, and this game does not help it at all. The credits go by waaaaaay too fast to read, the only name I caught [because I buttstomped] was Blacky, and each name appears for about 2/3 of a second. Then there’s nothing.
Music was hilarious. Eyecandy was not. No laughing matter, it had two teal and red pipes, two blue pipes, a black bg, and zip elsewhere. Very unfun!
No DL rec, but I’ll be nice and give you a 3.5, because at least it’s playable, and it looks halfway decently allright.

This is a very good pack. Fearofdark has created a series of JJ1-themed levels, each shining brightly in the JJ2 nightsky. But more to follow below…

Eyecandy was just great, from the different signs in Industrius, to the trees and waterfalls of Diamondus, to the amalgamation of electrical components in Tubelectric, the eyecandy ruxors. I did also like how each planet was preceded by a little “warp-to” intro.

Story was explained well, the super-special carrot of Diamondus was stolen and you must get it back. The levels were nice, although they did drag on after a while.

Tilesets used were good-picked ones. The blasters in Tubelectric [which is available in certain JJ1 conversions, but not others] were used, as were the spark fences. Nearly every aspect of each tileset is used in the levels, which is nice.

The music was the JJ1 music for each planet, leading me to believe that this is in fact a JJ1-themed pack and not something completely different. I like it, it’s good to have a bit of variety of what is made in each pack.

I didn’t like [like SPAZ18 said] the annoying miniturtles. They were a pain. The carrots were few and far between. There were a fair amount of baddies, but no more than to be expected. Overall this pack was done quite well, and I would not hesitate to play it again…

Summing up, I think that FOD did a wonderful job on this pack. Aside from a few minor picks and pokes, it’s relatively squeaky clean and definitely worth a download.

This is the only level I have ever said something remotely like this, but this level is the worst I’ve ever seen.

The visuals (are very bad). Animated grass? Vines in the middle of spots? This level galled me.
I am really sorry to say this, but I think you need to scrap the WHOLE thing and just start over again. The only notable thing was the pink house. Don’t do things like stretch 1-tile roofs, or put vines in the mist of nothing. No dl rec, but be very very sure to go back and fix it way up. Only then will your level improve. Sorry to take such a negative tone, but it really is that bad.

[This kind of tone is not welcome on J2O, regardless of the upload’s quality. Please don’t do this again. ~cooba]

Correction: This is a terrible tileset for a good hotel level.
Your tileset is, I’m sorry to report, not the best it could be. Example level made the best it could of the set, but there was one “jjk” spot—in the bathroom, of all places—, and this was not very nice. :(
Colors were terrible, graphics were too, I would strongly recommend at least using the JJ2 flames from other tilesets, because yours aren’t very good. :(:(
Music was nice, but didn’t really fit the level. The example, that is.
For a TSF only tileset, this sure isn’t very good. Please fix this up, I’m sure you will rock once you do.

Good show, good show! FOD’s War of the Rabbits 2: Taken for good? is a very well done pack. It has amazing puzzles, stunning eyecandy, great plotline and buglessness, is very fun to play [almost I might note on a similar level to any one of Evilmike’s episodes], and is certainly one of the better-done packs out there.
Music and tilesets were picked well, bugs were weeded out, it’s almost perfect. My biggest complaint is that it takes a lot of Evilmike’s ideas and uses them [the exploding airbase, the puzzles are similar, amongst other things]. But that doesn’t make this any worse for wear, and I heartily recommend you download this.

Okay, guys, stop flaming poor Akutube. It is a fairly bad level, but I noticed that not ONE of you [including those cheap little quick reviews] bothered anywhere [save maybe 1 or 2] to say why. It was, after all, playable, and the fact that it’s only TSF spares the 1.23 people from it. I take extreme offense at whomever said TSF level makers were small-brained, since I hardly ever check to see if my levels are 1.23…

Simply put, this level is bad because the tileset is bad, the bg is atrocious, the enemies were bad, the music was lousy, a lot of things were bad, but it’s easy to repair any one of them.
Change the music. More baddies and more length. Add a layer 8 background. Definitely make the exit sign cover the WHOLE end of the level, as I escaped out the opposite side. It’s not beyond hope, like some of us would like to believe. It was a good try, but it simply needed some MAJOR rerevonations. No dl, I’m afraid, at least not yet. :(

No real bugs, nice. The level did get kind of boring after a while, and did seem kind of pitifully sized. Eyecandy was just fine.

Hmm….
This level was fine. Not perfect, just fine.
White Xmas by Neo—> is a level using a conversion of the HH98 tileset, with a fairly solid structure, some nice “boosts” with springs and sucker tubes, and a warp from one side of the level to the other.
WX was quite small with few weapons, and the amount of “whiteness” in the level sadly drove me a bit nuts. The music was okay, but the eyecandy amounts were also small. There’s definitely room for improvement here.
Not that it’s a complete disaster. The concept is nice, being in the midst of a storm [is that right?]. The tileset is nice, and bugs are virtually nonexistant. There is a version with pits and one without. I liked it, but felt it needed a lot of help.
Not to fear, there’s still hope yet! Get some different colors in your level [I recommend a bluish tone to your level, as well as some more eyecandy in the bg layers that’s more pretty than another floor layer], maybe some more trees and houses, add more ammo and increase size a bit, and enjoy it!
Neutral dl rec, but a thought is to be given: Good work, fix it up, and come back for more! I’ll be waiting. =)

The boss is extremely creative.

Well, I guess it’s about time this upload got a review…

Intro
Sven’s battle Pack [which should really be renamed to “Forest Pack”] is a 3-level battle pack with some likeable features and some dislikeable ones. The Forest day, Diamondus 2 and Easter tilesets are used.

Setting/quality

The setting is, as I explained above, in a forest. The theme is pretty nice. The quality is pretty nice. It’s far from perfect, but is waay different than the last thing [not by MS] I just reviewed. Some nice eyecandy is used [the mountains being used as up-close eyecandy in the Forest level][The occasional random platform in the Diamondus level][Occasional trees scattered throughout the Easter level—the one level that didn’t hardly seem like a forest. At all…]. Cool music is also used. I didn’t really like the sparse amounts of eyecandy used in the levels, but many levels have this affliction. The pack was relatively bug-free, which was great. The compatability was OK.
The overall pack atmosphere was nice. But I didn’t like really much how the weapons seemed randomnly thrown hastily about in the levels, which were a lot of wide-open spaces. The abundant amounts of powerups can be nice and annoying. Plenty of cool shortcuts through walls exist.
Overall, I would rate this pack with a 7.2, and a DL recommendation. It’s a nice number. But, don’t forget to fix that stuff up. I’ll be waiting for your next level!

Meh, not too much to say here…

Intro

The level was a good try. Unfortunately, it does not quite make the cut in my opinion. The tileset was fine [MEZ02], music okay, but it needed something.

Setting/quality
There’s not much to this level. Artem’s co-op level is designed for two people to play. However, it is insanely easy to find the exit. Seriously, I skipped most of the level because the exit was soo easy to find. The event placement was fine, as was the rest of the structure.

Eye candy was okay, could use some work here. The level did not have much visual appeal, if you want some lessons on how to really use eyecandy, go play Evilmike’s episodes. Or go play any one of the big names in levelpacks, which generally use eyecandy pretty well.

Buggyness/likeability

Except for that one spot, not really buggy. I do think it has a lot to improve on in the likeability department. It’s simple, but is playable. That’s what counts. Works smoothly, could be fairly fun with some improvement.

To end off, I will give a neutral dl rec, as it seems to still need a lot of work. But nice effort, you get an A+ for that! [something my grades could use =(…]

…I have chosen to rewrite this review….

Intro

Master Sven’s battle level is okay. I did not think it was too terribly stellar, but this is understandably caused by the tileset.

Setting/quality

Winter Fallz is a wintery battle level, with a few waterfalls, some trees, snowmen, christmas lights and more. The level is admittedly small, but could be fun as a short 2-minute battle. I am happy to report the apparent absence of any huge bugs, plus the nice music. However, I do take a few issues…

The aforementioned issues

The trees I referenced are quite low-quality. The snow and ground lack any endearing beauty. The snowman is a nice breakup in the level. The level is, simply put, small. Instead of cramming tons of useless weapons into it, MS put a couple PU’s and some clusters of ammo in various places. The carrot is hidden in a warp, which sadly is really easy to camp on.

So to finish this up, I would say that WF is okay. Certainly not perfect, but not much on planet Earth is. No dl, I’m afraid, but it’s up to you, the reader.
Instead of a 2.0, MS’s orig rating, I will raise this to a 3.1, because most of the level’s flaws are not his fault.
