Whoa! Another review to ruxxoring song, which has to be renewed…

Technoir in a great style. That’s describe of this tune in five words. How Joeph Collins said, this is how Technoir has to be.

Samples are good, they are very well fitting into the song, sound quality of them is good enough. Rhythm is stable beat – hi-hat – snare – hi-hat, and it perfectly fits into tune.

All details in song like quiet melody playing after orchestra hits or 2:36 make this song just great.

Now, forget to original Technoir. This is better than original in all ways. Not much original stuff, it’s just original improved by 200 %. Use it in your levels, in your mp3players. And use loud speakers.

Now I think it’s Snooz’s first real attack, first level what can be hosted at JDC games, first level, how I hope will be in AB. First level what has to be hosted everywhere, level what has to BE. But it’s not level for duels, level for 2v2 or 3v3.
I think this is extremely good level for normal hosting for people, it’s level where you cannot play some serious games. I don’t know why…
I love this level. Maybe it’s because I love all levels by Snooz or maybe I love you, but that’s okay, cuz you’ve nice girl name. ;p. But maybe it’s because of eyecandy, maybe it’s because it’s good.

Eyecandy is easy, not many layers used, but it looks well. It looks easy and awesomely. It’s very Snoozy, so everybody knows.
Ammo placement is good too, it’s little bit different than normally, it’s made into row, but okay… There are three power-ups, and only one full carrot, and that carrot is in center of game. It’s wrongest thing in level… You could get 9 from me…
But still, it’s very playable and I hope it will be hosted everywhere. I hope…

It’s in MP3 file so I’ll review it only like music to listen in WinAmp or in some CD or MP3 or HDD or asdfghjkl some other player and it has little different claims. It is not game music, althrough it really sounds like it. But I prefer demoscene, so smile!
First of all, like in all cases, this is not remix. It’s only resample, and resamples can be good or bad. Truly. This resample is good, yes. I love those new instruments. They have really high sound quality, they are briliant. All samples are good, but I think it’s not synchronious. Combination of those samples is really strange… But although I will do burn it to CD (with demoscene, P!nk and Soviet songs) what I will listen at least month until I will update it with new songs… But I will not replace this. I love strangity, I am strange… Just download it!

Jazz Jackrabbit Music Theme. The best game music I’ve ever heard. Ready to another biased review?

So. This is theme music mixed with some basslines and samples (like monk voice) from Medivo. Tempo is original, Rhythm too.

The main thing I like on this piece is total harmony. Harmony with Medivo and Menusong, which gives new music, new melody. That’s great.

Now those worse. Sample quality is just bad, original rhythm does not fit into this.

It’s totally amateur. Oh yes, nice raining… But layer 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-3 is n00bish “trick”…

LOL. Don’t ask why, there is one word how to say it. It starts with “n”… But it’s so easy to put only 6 usable-weapons-tiles…

There is one room where you are still warped so it makes this boring. But yes, maybe it’s huge, only without order…

It’s in TSF and in TSF are only n00bish servers, so, asdfghjkl, host it!!!
No. This level is nice for some from first pocuses, yes. But I don’t like it. That’s all.

I love Ice Cap Zone music.

Where to start… Maybe… At beggining… Mysterious wind, then first three tones from Tubelectric. And again. Then IceCap background… And here it starts. Those transitions and joinings between those melodies… Those two famous and grandious melodies joined in one… Everything in winter, over-average samples. Great. I am listening to that awesome, paradisaic, optimistic melodies… And then, second Tubelectric theme, which ruins atmosphere. Good. ;p

Rhythm is monotonous, bit annoying, in ungood samples, but OK.

Okay. Just stand in our community and make more levels. Only don’t upload all of them. When I played it with you… I wasn’t bored from bugs like trigger zone in battle or last-tile using… No, that wasn’t that worst. Just look at eyecandy and you will understand. No ammo, stupid leveldesign. Maybe you can get 2.5 for this but only for much much bigger level… It’s something about 128×128 or I don’t know and it’s not good for any type of game. With this level can have fun nobody but you…
Just keep practicing.

1. Evilmike’s Evil Fortress
Awesome eyecandy but it’s because of tileset. Very good for full servers (16 players). It’s really big and placement is good too… It’s like all levels by Evilmike. 8.5

2. Abandoned Robotrics FactoryLot of locations of nothing, lot of place for good battles. But it is too big (too long ways to go back) for some serious wars. But yes, it’s awesome to make this more teamly battly… 7.7 (TB 8.5)

I loved it always, I was good it always. I loved eyecandy always, I ENJOYED always. Yes, my biggest quote is from this level, from JDC pregame. I REALLY ENJOY!!! Best battle ever ever ever ever!!! 9.5

4. Cold Cavern
Eyecandy is not awesome, eyecandy is not cool. Eyecandy is only cold and nice. It’s dark, so you can concentrate to game… But I don’t like it much. It’s too empty, there are too many carrots and too many types of weapons. Not for AB but okay… really okay. 6.5

5. Decrepit Ruins
Oh… My favorite. Awesome eyecandy, awesome gameplay, awesome ammo placement. But not awesome sucker tubes and not awesome carrot placement. Althrough I love it and I give 9.

Evilmike hates me (LRK no)…
All levels are good, some are awesome. And those awesome are really awesome…

NO. Jazz1 Nippius wasn’t the best conversion. It looks very good, it is easy to use, I think this tileset has FUTURE. Has nice colors, all needed tiles – (good work Black’n‘Lab)
I think this is really better because in JJ1Nippius it was fror nothing to do levels. This is original, easy to use and nice tileset like all conversions but has much much bigger modernity and potentional and I like it much!

Slime Time…

Hmm… Most of samples are original, tempo is very slow, it’s whole too repetitive, unproffessional, offtuned, random. Only thing what I liked from part, was “c’mon” voice and one short new melody

WooHoo! Techno Mix of Tubelectric! I must enjoy this piece…

So not. We have faster original piece with some new nice techno beats. Nothing more.

Faster tempo here just sucks, beats are fairly good, but something is missing… Arrrgghh… No hi-hats… Just beat – snare – beat – snare. That “fairly” is not enough. Firstly I thought this could be good for technophiles, but no. I like techno too, very much, but this is bad.

Winterland Thunderland… Legendar mix by my favorite (you know what’s sarcasm, no?) reviewer, Joseph Collins… Well, look at biased review by me.

Beggining samples are nice, they are going to tell this is not one from those stupid Tubelectric remixes. And it’s not.

It’s very soft… Tempo is very slow, samples are good in first tubelectric theme, in second it’s worse… They are also bit monotone. Beats are too quiet, mostly there are jingle-bells, sometimes hi-hats. It’s typical winter mix. Soft and ambient. It’s also repetitive.

If searching some good music for your single player level, without much action, that’s it. Else, someone can enjoy, someone not.

I promised review, so here it is.
Name of this level says everything. Enter Orbitus. Yes. Everything cool from Orbitus is here. Originality. Good eyecandy. Ammo placement here is really really bad. 50 tiles of ammo is too much for me. In this level misses any action. You are only slowly going and every 15 seconds shooting. This level is too short… It’s level to one two playing and that’s something about three minutes.
But I like this level, especially because of that blue from Orbitus… Yes. Originality. And FUN. I will give you 8 when you will make it longer.
D/L recommended if you are making levels and you want to make them very well.
