I’m with PurpleJazz when it comes to the sequel. This level is superb IMO. The background is awesome, good enemy, weapon and food placement as well as good music choice. Perfect level, would love to see more!

The level is too simple IMO. There is only one type of weapon and two types of enemies. You could’ve added both flying and normal lizards (they live in deserts, don’t they?) and maybe even dragons (and bats in caves)
There is a lot of room everywhere on the level, except on the boss spot (maybe you wanted it to be that way to make it harder?).

Generally the map needs to be more complex (IMO). This way it’s just too straight forward (go here, shoot this, go there, shoot that)

PS: Too much poles man.

As a fan of Fast Fires, I really like this one. With only FF and Toaster available I can see that the point of the whole level is to get a hold of the fireshield and destroy the other ones so that your enemies don’t get ‘em. And of course the FF combined with the fire powerup makes a great impact on gameplay as all players will try to avoid the player who has the powerup while trying to shoot each other as well.
The fireshield is also cleverly placed in an area where it has no use – under water. Big + on this.
(I could tell there wouldd be a lot of rabbits in the water :D)

On the side of the actual space and ambient, the map has a perfect size for the battle and it is quite spacious. Only thing here that bugs me is that I get a feeling that there be a bit too many wines. But that’s just my opinion and it doesn’t actually cause any problems to the gameplay..

PS: really like that the water bubbels are coming out of those cracks in the ground :D

Really enjoyed playing it. At first I thought there were too many carrots, but after bumping into those little b4st4rds all the time I understood why there are so many.

For a single map I really hoped for an end boss, but this was ok.

PS: couldn’t load file in JCS, so I didn’t saw where (if there is any) zone where the frog wears off.

Sounds pretty good. But that lower-pitched guitar riff that’s going on every now and then in the background is really ruining it IMO. Song would’ve been better without it…IMO.

Ok, so this on is better.But again i would like to point on a few things:
The 2 platforms below the CTF Bases don’t have a “One Way” Event, which i found a little bit annoying
The “Sucker Tube” that allows you to get to the CTF Base is only on 1 tile (you should have put the tube on 2 tiles)

ONE VERY CRUCIAL THING:
The place where the CTF Bases are is surrounded by walls, and tubes. It’s a perfect place to camp. You shouldn’t have put that because if someone is camping, it will be hard for other players to kill the camper and the game will last longer. So please make another way in or get arid of the tube below.

Eyecandy/Background:
WOW. The background was hurting my eyes. There are 2 many stars in the background. But there were some
As I noticed the ambient light on the start is 100%. The level is praying for a lower ambient light. If you make an ambient light smaller you also must put some other lights like: Steady Light, or Pulsing Light, which will add a little eyecandy, and it will be more fun to play

Music:
I’m very well impressed with the music which gave you’re level an improvement. to me it very well fits the level, so that was 1 good choice in this level.

If I’m not mistaking, I only saw 1 Power Up, and it’s a Toaster PU, which is not good for a CTF level. Instead you should have put a 3Way Rocket PU.

All in all i hope you improve very soon (and i think you will), and I’m waiting for your next map. :)

Well Roxel I’m very well impressed with your level, since it’s your first.
As i See you’ve divided the map in 3 sections: Red, Yellow, and Purple.
But i would like to point on some things:

You did made a nice level, but I’m the person that doesn’t like that much of an ammo, and that little of an Power Ups.I more like the balance between the Ammo and The PU’s. And as Rabid Rabb said the Ice PU is useless, Plus its hard to hit the Seeker PU

I liked the music but somehow i have a felling that, it doesn’t fit to this level.
I would also like to indicate on the stares in the middle section. They are pretty much annoying (for me), and there’s to much ammo on them

I didn’t have much time to write the long review like Rabid Rabb’s (also he said everything you need to know)

The map is very nice (aldo those flying things gave me a headache :D ). The eye-candy is very nicely done, and I liked the weapon placement. I also like the way you’ve combined the carrots with the death pits. Overall the map is very interesting (at specially the background). It will be interesting if this map makes it on some of the servers.

PS: Somehow i don’t think this is a perfect 10 (sorry, but keep up the good work)

I can say that this map is very good, aldo a bit small. But I can see that (no matter the size) the map has been done very nicely with 7 layers used. The music also fits in perfectly. Also the weapons and the carrot placement was nice. Nice job.

Man this is great! At specially i like the toxic 1, it’s awesome. You did a great job. I think it deserves a clear 10, since u say i can exaggerate a bit. But seriously it’s a good conversion, and u have put in some extra things. Good job :)

This tileset is very good, but on the other hand i agree with mortalspaz. The 2D games don’t fit in good with 3D tilesets. Sorry man but that’s a 7.5

This is a pretty good map man. Yes the map maybe small but the weapon placement is very good, and the eyecandy…1 bug +. Overall map’s good (i like where have u put the carrot ;) But u could still put some power-ups.

Im amazed. Let me tell ya this map is AWESOME man. The eyecandy, weapon placement, lots of things. At specialy the see-weed all around. That there’s a pretty good job. I wish u more maps like this.
