I’m sorry but this is a bad tileset. Let’s look over the problems.

First thoughts
Well when you first look at the tileset, you may thing to yourself, “Hey, this looks pretty good. you got animations, hills, bridges and all that good stuff.” Once you actually start yo build something with it though, you realized just how bad it is.

Tiles
While there are quite a couple of tiles in this tilest, there are lots missing. you have your basic hills and ground and animations. There is a lot missing though. There’s no sky or background, no SIGNS, poles, suckers, hooks. There are Jazz 1 signs. What is there can look ugly. There’s just to much missing to make this a good conversion.
3/10

Animations
Well when you first look you say that the animations look decent, but no. The basic Lenti flashing chips aren’t included and i could give a 1 just for that. the electric walls look bad because of the background surrounding it. Same thing with the monitors. there are lots of frames missing in some of the animations. (they look fine, but in Jazz 1 there were more frames) There’s some spinning light animations and some static TVS. the animations are good, but the fact the pulsing chip isn’t here and some of the animations look horrible, I can’t give more then a 2.
2/10
Colors
This colors look off. I don’t know why everything just looks dingy and off. Maybe it would look better if the pulsing chip was here?
3/10
pallet events
Non are used so I won’t rate.
Masking
Masking is decent but there are some things, like the pushers, that you can go through for some reason. Masking could be a little better as something should be mask but aren’t. the Jazz 1 signs have weird masking on them.
4/10
Final score: 11/40
Score: 2.5
Rank: F
DR? I’m sorry but this is just way to off from jazz 1. You can download because this is the only one available, but I’d rather just wait for a better conversion.

I have to agree with what Cooba said. this is the laziest attempt you can do. Just by looking at the screenshots you can tell that the hues aren’t correct. I tired using them and they look horrible. Not only that but why is everything in one picture? I would have preferred each one to be in a different file. I give this a 1 because it simply doesn’t work.

This is yet another example of how having a great tileset doesn’t make a good level. First off, YOU FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE TILESET!

Eyecandey
Did you even load this level in Jazz? The wierd planets in the background make the whole level look distorted. If that’s not bad enough, the tile placement is horrible. Everything is floating in mid are. The tile’s don’t match up that well, the other layers haven’t been touched ether. the waterfalls aren’t animated making them look horrible. Bad eyecandey as it looks like no attempt was made.
1/10
Gameplay
I’m not 100% sure how to rate gameplay for races, but I’ll try. When you start, you climb up some stairs that have dragons on them. You then go up a lift where you climb some platforms with seeker ammo. (Why do beginners always use seekers?)After that you have a hard choice. You can ether go up the blue spring into a whole in the roof and risk missing, or go through the much faster suckers. Climb some more steps and that’s one lap. That was about as fun as watching paint dry.
1/10
Ammo
I“m not sure how badly ammo is needed in race, but even if it isn’t it’s pathetic. all there is some seekers that have no delay and a bouncer powerup.
1/10
Would I host this?
No. there’s no fun to be had in this race at all. I would have more fun playing sigh the sad beach.

Final score: 3/30
Score: 1
DR? No. Spend more time. there’s no way this has been done in 3 months. (did you place 10 tiles each day?) Look up some help and get some people to test. Also play through the levels yourself and ask yourself, is this fun?

Eyecandey:
More then anything, just random tiles thrown together. Layer 4 is a mess. The backgrounds are also not good. Tilebugs everywhere.
1/10

Story:
What story? I didn’t find much. Nothing to really get into or fallow.
1/10

Gameplay:
Linear to the max as n00b said. No challenge little to no puzzles. the challenge areas are easy. They don’t really add anything. Boring bosses. Didn’t die once. Did I also say that you can get stuck in the walls
sometimes? I really just got bored.
1/10

Enemy placement:
Not enough. Never died. Not enough to kill me. though getting hit in a sucker tube was annoying.

Pickup placement:
Bad. Not enough pickups. Not enough ammo or food. Don’t know what else to say.

Eyecandey:
What? Eyecandey? You got the wrong address. I think the author tried her hardest not to put any eyecandey in. The backgrounds look average and most of them look like Epic’s background. Layer 4 has little to nothing in it. At least some sort of obsticals in the arenas would have been nice.
1/10

Gameplay:
All you do is fight bosses. That’s it. No puzzles, no enemies no obsticals no nothing. the bosses barley serve as a challenge to good players and even not so good players wouldn’t have many problems.
1/10

Enemy placement:
Just bosses. Some enemies would be nice to help add a challenge.

Pickup placement:

A pretty enjoyable pack, but needs lots of work.

It’s been a while so this is all from memory

Eyecandey:
Eyecandey is average. The opening is average. The base levels were ok. I do think a little more work could have gone into the base levels as they looked average. Try some more animations or foreground. The jungle levels were ok. Good background but a little to dark in some areas. Also the layout made it hard not to get hit. Also the background stuff confused me at some points because I thought they were solid ground. The dimondus level looked good. Nice theme. Space levels again look good. More work could have been put into the base. Like more foreground. The cutscenes were really cool and I like how you used top secrets jazz sprites. Also the carrotus levels looked good. one big complain is that to many official tilesets were used. Overall, good eyecandey. Little average with top secret, but overall, passable.
6/10

Story:
I’m not going the lie, the story was weird for me. Jazz gets dumped into a hole, into some weird base, and starts taking orders from a frog? Is there something I’m missing? Also the reasons are a little silly. Overall, I didn’t really like it as it didn’t make much sense.
4/10

Gameplay:
Now we get to the gameplay. Pretty good. The puzzles were pretty hard to figure out. However, most of the challenge comes from just find and living thought the (/)in things. In the jungle level, you have to find 3 crates while donging wave after wave of monkeys. All with one checkpoint. If you die, you have to find them all again. BULL! Anyhow, keep going good gameplay. The carrotus level was ok. again you need to find crates but it’s not as bad as the jungle level. Base levels are good but I found a little to much repetition, having to go over the levels again and again. The bosses were hard as some of the arena’s seemed to give the boss a huge advantage with dozen of enemies and little room. Some of them, like the carrotus level were way to hard. I liked all the secrets in the levels. the one where you play as the frog is pretty cool. Most of the levels were pretty long. But one big problem, you can get stuck in the wall as Spaz when you spawn. Not good. Overall, good game gameplay.
6/10

Enemy placement:
Good, but evil sometimes. The jungle level is hard becuase the enemies are put in hard-to-get locations. Then the next couple of levels are ok. The boss levels are hard becuase the enemies are overused to death. Then when you get into the base levels, the enemies are pretty easy. It goes, hard, medium the easy. Weird. But is was challenging. just wish a medium could have been kept all the way through.
7/10

Pickup placement:
Not this is a big hitter.

Savepoint: NOT ENOUGH. I found that most of the time I have the restart large portions of a level when I die. The jungle level is really bad becuase of this.

Ammo:
I think he just got lazy. you get to chose your own ammo at the base levels which is good. However, to save time, the author puts little to no ammo in the other levels. Just seems lazy.

Carrots:
Not enough. I was always down a lot of health. Add some more! Just not enough to live without lots of skill.

Other pickups:
Food is ok. The could be more. Can’t remember when I get a sugar rush. Gems are good to. Finding the little secrets with gems make exploring a little rewarding.
Total pickup:3/10

Final Score:26/50
Rank:C
Score:6
D/R? This pack is good, but problems just make it so the experience isn’t as good. However, there is some innovation, so I’m giving a download Recommended.

Well a good tileset I must say. I used this once and It was easy to use.

What this is
This is basically a conversion of Bloxonius. this is great as there’s lots of eyecandey and everything is here. Lets go through the list.

Tiles
Wow great! there’s hills, polls, hooks, blocks, toys, signs and even a little lego man! I looked thought his tileset and I have to say, I couldn’t find anything missing. everything from jazz 1 is here, including arrows, signs, animations and a jazz 1 style background and textured background. everything you could ever need to make a good level is here. The only thing that could be added is some flipped tiles. Great job! this is the definition of total conversion!
10/10
Colors
Look great! Love it! Colors are the same from jazz 1 and everything that was added is properly colored. Good job!
10/10
Animations
All the animations are here and they look great! Good job!
10/10
Pallet Events
Only textured background and water works. It’s a shame that the rest don’t work. Oh well.
4/10
Reusability
Well it’s only a conversion and you still are limited to what you can do. Still, this is great and you still have quite a couple of options.
7/10
Masking
Masking is perfect. Everything is simple lines and objects. Great job!

Even though your using a better tileset, I didn’t find much improvement.

First of all, It takes more then 2 days too make a good level. Try a couple of weeks.

Eyecandey:
I’m not sure if I like this one better then the first one. Background is boring. No layer 7-5. No foreground. The layer 4 looks wierd as there’s tilebugs. You only used about 40 tiles in the entire tileset. There’s so much you can do with Top secret. I’m going too have to give you a one just because there’s so much you could have done with the tileset.
1/10

Gameplay:
Again almost no improvement. Ammo is clumped up in HUGE areas and the seeker powerups are in the open. One carrot isn’t enough for a battle this big. Also the layout is a mirror image. This type of layout is better suited for ctf. Re-spawn still has too fast of a delay. Try 8-15. Again all this adds up too mindless weapon spamming and not good for matches.
1/10

Final word
Again needs lots of work. Spend lots of time on your levels. Look around the website for tips or post on the JCFs for advanced help.

Wow the first time I’ve written a full review in a long time.

One look and i had my score.

I’m not good at reviewing MP levels so this is how i think you review them.

Eyecandey
Now I’m not blaming you for the tileset, but even so, the eyecandey is average. The Background is a complete mess. the blue stuff by itself would have been better. The windows just repeat themselves. (Again not blaming you) Not foreground. At least there are animations. I know a lot of these problems are not your fault, but the whole thing is you shouldn’t even be using a tileset this bad. I would have used a different tileset that had more opportunitys.
2/10

Gameplay
this level is pretty small. It has a battle look, but the gameplay and flow are just non existent. There are DOZENS of respawning fastfires and non of them have a delay. This means players can just spam bullets which defeats the purpose of strategy. There are also seekers and bouncers that also have no delay. There’s a seeker powerup with no delay right in the open. 2 full energy carrots near the top of the arena which again have no delay. This means it’s easy just too keep going back for health.
1/10

Final word
I’m sorry but i would never host this. There’s no strategy too this arena and the respawning fastfires and carrots bring everything down too just weapon spam and carrot camping. The powerup also breaks this a little. I don’t really see how you can have a good match, never mind a clan or tournament match. Put some more time into your work. Use a better tileset and get some more know how on JCS.

while this may seem like a good idea, it really isn’t.

What this Does
This is basically a utility designed to play live streaming MP3 or youtube audio over a server. It is however, poorly exacted. Why would i want to use this? Jazz2+ supports MP3 already and even in I’m using the normal version, I think a regular song would work better. I know this came before MP3’s were in Jazz2, but even so, I shouldn’t really want to use this. It’s an inconvenience to have another window open along with anything else your running. The library does have a lot of songs to it, but I don’t really like a lot of them. I may be wrong, but haven’t I seen some of these songs uploaded to J2O? The youtube thing doesn’t really add anything. The one thing that really rates this down is the fact you gave out links to places where you can download ALL version of Jazz without permission.

Overall, I don’t really see the point in this download and I think using Jazz2+ or searching for a song on J20 or Mod archive is a better choice. No download recommended and please take down those links!

Wow. this is garbage. There are 2 main things wrong:
1: This is just a jumble of tiles form castle. Almost nothing fits and it looks done in 10 minutes.
2:ALL the levels use the same eyecandey. In fact, all the levels are the same except for different pallets.
Not sure what else to say about the eyecandey.
