This must be the first hand drawn tileset ever. Another thing someone could do is make a Photographic tileset. (Parts of photos ripped)
This is just a few levels wih nothing but a boss. It’s just plain boring. Just a few bosses. I can’t think why someone would even let this stuff that probably took about 10 mins to make on J20. So I’ll give it 1.0.
This is got to be one of the greatest tilesets ever to be made. As well as being the world’s largest JJ2 tileset, it has some of the most immpressive graphics in a tileset I have ever seen. Disguise has worked extremely hard to make this. This tileset has inspired me to make tilesets as good as his. Personally I don’t think he should of left J20, as his next tilesets would be……..incredible. Anyway, I’m spending too much time saying how good Mega Megatropolis is so I’m will start writing the main review now.
THEME
The tileset is set in a modern city with quite a lot of plant growth. Examples of eyecandy are: Tree, Leaves, buildings, hills in background, offices, sewers, etc. It is very good for any type of level.
Examples of level ideas are: A race level on the road, a CTF level in the sewers, Devan attacking the town centre or a treasure hunt around the city. There some areas that could of been better, like it could of had more vehicles on the road. There was only one car and one train in the entire tileset. A city tileset would probably have more cars/lorries/trains etc. Also, the windows would be better with frames.
9/10
USEABILITY
The tileset is very useable for any kind of level. (as metioned above)I found it quite hard to find my way around the tileset (since its so large). What could of been done is that everything could of been arranged so there could be all the plant-related stuff at the top, then a part for the houses, then the sewers, then the interiers could be somewhere, and all the layer 5/6/7/8 backgrounds at the bottom. This tileset is designed for advanced level-makers to use, and might be a bit intimidating for begginners.
8/10
ACCURACY
There is absolutely no bugs in this tileset. The diagonals all fit together perfectly, there are no tiles missing that would be needed and there is a mask message too. This is one of the vry few tilesets done with 100% accuracy. Even Agama’s tilesets have a few bugs in them. Well done, Disguise!
10/10
FINAL SCORE
Good Points:
*No bugs!
*4090 tiles mean lots of choice
Bad Points:
*Is hard to use
*Not much vehicles
SCORE
9.6

This yet another hotel level. Arrgh!!
I hate hotels. They are just so….boring.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy was pretty good, suprisingly for a first level.
7/10
HOTEL DESIGN
Just the same old hotel with the same old random tiles and pickups just randomly placed.
5/10
GOOD FOR HOSTING?
Not really.
3/10
BUGS
There was one place where I couldn’t get out of.

This tileset is quite good for a first.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy was quite good, there were lots of pencils and rubbers etc.
7/10
PALETTE
The pallete was quite poor, you could of used more colours.
5/10
DIFFICULTY
The tileset was fairly well laid out, which is good.
7/10
USEABILITY
Unfortuneately the levels it makes don’t look very good.

10/10
DIFFICULTY
The Tileset is very well set out, which makes it quick and easy to use.
9/10
THEME
The theme is lik a chinese mountain-type thing. I was expecting lots of other eyecandy like dragons and other zodiac related objects.

There is no point in uploading stencils for tilesets, as they can be done easily on a good graphics program.
Ok I’ll Review this level for you.
This is supposedly supposed to be a hotel level. Well, its rather small and you could of made it larger. You didn’t use a textured layer 8 background (which most levels have). There were only about 6 rooms in the entire hotel. There was one room called “Gem Shop”. It wasn’t really a “shop” because you could just go in and get unlimtited gems for free. It would of been better if you had made them cost coins. You could of put a battle room (there’s a sign saying:“Battle”, but I can’t find a battle room anywhere.” There was no music, either. The eyecandy was very poor, there was only items of eyecandy in the level. I am afraid that I’m going to have to give this 2.5.
Try looking at this: http://howtojcs.zeepost.nl/
It will give you a good tutorial on making levels. That’s were I learned to make my levels. I would like to see what you could make after looking at that website.
Purplejazz7
These jungle levels have very interesting event-usage.
EYECANDY
There’s lots of vegitation and other stuff around;it has much better eyecandy than in the offical epic jungle levels:p
9/10
GAMEPLAY
There’s lots of great ways of using events;one could learn a lot by playing this.
10/10
ENEMY PLACEMENT
The enemy placement is good, but there are too many in some areas.

This Level pack has a very fun story:D
EYECANDY
The levels look very nice, especially the level where you have to escape from the castle. The red sky, the layer 5/6/7 background and the overall realism make this level one of the best levels I have ever played.
10/10
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is best in the level where you play as froggy. It had some good crate puzzles and very good level ideas.
9/10
LEVEL DESIGN
The level design is very good in “Crate Zone”. You had lots of trick and traps and it was not too easy but not too hard.

These levels are exactly the same, just with different tilesets.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy is quite good;I like what you’ve done with the layer 8 background to make a waterfall:D
8/10
WEAPONS
The weapons are well placed, and there is a good selection, but they re-spawn too quickly.
7/10
LEVEL DESIGN
The levels are identical and too small. It would of been better if you had made a seperate level for each tileset.

A File needs a rating of 8 or above to get a DR when I review it.
If a File gets under 5 it gets no DR.
This Level pack has some very-well designed levels.
STORY
The plot is quite unique, which is good.

LEVEL DESIGN
The are some very interesting tileset uses in some of the levels.

GENERAL
This level pack is very good and must of taken about 6 months to make. Nice work, Gus!

[Rating (9) clearance. There was no actual support for the given rating. “very interesting tileset uses” is not enough to base any rating off. ~Cooba]
This tileset was made in Photoshop, and I’m not very good at drawing on a computer.
EDIT – Now I’m working a much better, much bigger (1030 tiles) tileset. (1030 means TSF only!)
I downloaded it and it said:
Could not find level file or tileset for level“C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\BILL\DESKTOP\JAZZ2\JJ1TUBEELECTRIC.j2l”
This tileset combo is badly put together.
EYECANDY
The Tileset combo of misses out some of the most important tiles.
6/10
DIFFICULTY
Quite hard to use, and with a lot of poorly tile placement.
5/10
TILESET DESIGN
The tileset has got an ugly layout, with some tiles that are pointlessly added.

This tileset has so much texture.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy is……super!
10/10
MASK
A couple of minor mask errors, but it is still good generally anyway.
8/10
DESIGN
The design is incredible, there is eyecandy on practically every tile.

There is no point downloading this because you can just change the 1up sprite in JSD.
[Unsupported rating (1.0) clearance. There was not enough support given for the rating. – Cooba]This file is pretty useless. If you want a sugar rush instantly, just type in jjrush. But that’s for cheaters. And you need 100 food for a sugar rush.
There is no point in using this.
