I can’t NOT rate this on the size. It’s not fair. That’d be like asking you to not rate the eyecandy if my level has bad eyecandy.
Eyecandy: Good
The eyecandy is good…
Gameplay: Bad
The gameplay is very bad.
Size: Very bad
Way too small.
Ammo placement: Okay
Okay ammo placement.
Overall: Okay
A decent level… not too good
Host this often: Never.
You can review it, but you can’t shouldn’t rate it.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
People compare the work they see to their own levels. A lesser level maker will rate too high, and an average one (like me, for example) will rate fairly. A better level maker like Evil Mike tends to underrate.
finds a glitch
Radium used the thing that says that the player only stops moving when no button is pressed. If you are shooting and moving, and stop moving when shooting, you keep moving.
This is an instrument change. I see little to no skill in making these (all though they do come out nice all the time, like this one did). I will not rate this, since it’s not a real remix. A remix is far from an instrument change, like this is.
“i love dis battle.
1- a little bit eyecandy.
2- GOOD ammo placed.
3- nice music.
4- Nice background!
5- nice nice nice!”
You can’t give points for a good background, because that’s the tileset. You can’t give points for good music. All DX said that could count is,
“1- a little bit eyecandy.
2- GOOD ammo placed.”
I see nothing about gameplay. Gameplay is what battles are about. Gameplay is also what this lacks. Good eyecandy and ammo placement, but sux gameplay.
Oh, yes. I do have it. There are two levels. I couldn’t play the other one, and for good reason. This is awful.
Eyecandy
The only places with tiles that fit together to make something that looks remotely decent is the ones that are directed ripped from the tileset.
Gameplay
None here.
Enemies
Very badly placed.
Overall: Sux. X([This review has been edited by labratkid][This review has been edited by labratkid]
OMG IT GOOD QUOTIENTIA WOW OMG WOW WOW WOW SUCH EXPLANATIONS!!!!!!!!!!11111 AND YOU TOO NICK DC LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111 :D :D :D :D :D :D
Yeah, right.
Eyecandy: Bad
The sprite layer eyecandy is okay, but there is no background or foreground.
Gameplay: Okay
Boring gameplay.
Enemies: Okay
Enemies are okay, but they just get annoying.
Overall: Bad / Okay.
Too small. Make it bigger, and spend more time on it.
Read my review for the first train attack level, which applies to the second, and now applies to the third (this). If there’s a fourth, it will probably apply to that.
-1.5 for not giving blurredd any credit whatsoever for the falling feature and for the flying rocks.
This one is worse than the others, anyway, IMO. Sorry.
See my review for the first level. The only difference here is that the eyecandy is worse, and it’s harder, and some other stuff.
Nick, you will get warned again if you keep writing reviews like this. Warning seemed to upset you greatly the last time, to the point where you insulted our friend and admin to a point where you were banned and kicked from your clan. Don’t let it happen again, for your sake and for J2O’s sake.
How to beat this…
1.) Preheat oven to 300 degrees farenheit.
1.) Choose Jazz.
2.) Take a big jump and start coptering.
3.) Land, and than take more jumps. Repeat.
4.) Beat the robot boss.
5.) Watch DX not give Blurredd credit for how you get Jazz to lose when he falls.
6.) Watch Nick’s ban expire and him rate it unnceccasarilly high.
7.) Look at the somewhat bad eyecandy.
8.) Put in a large bowl and mix.
8.) Try it the normal way and have some fun, giving it an extra 2 points.
9.) Put in oven and bake until golden brown.
An okay level. It lacks flow, and the layout is bad. The ammo placement is decent, and I can all most say the background eyecandy is good, but layer 5 moves too fast. There is lots of ugly stuff in the sprite layer, but lots of eyecandy there. However, it’s too much, making a lot of eyecandy turn into bad eyecandy. It’s buggy, like DX said. The gameplay has way too many flows for this to be an enjoyable level.
Foo, DX, you reviewed it; how can you not want to review it if you all ready did?[This review has been edited by labratkid]
I don’t like this level at all. It has bad flow, and the eyecandy is bad. The gameplay is boring, and slow. Everybody overrates Acid’s levels, big time. I don’t understand why. Sorry, but this is definetely not 7.7 quality. The way actually hosted before to get reviewers to review it fairly, because of this… expect some fair reviews like this one.
Neon: What good stuff?[This review has been edited by labratkid]
This level’s okay. It doesn’t seem like it would’ve take 6 hours, because it’s so small. It looks like it took one or two hours at the most. I like the ambient lighting; good job with that. Make your levels bigger, and I’ll rate higher. Like I said for Adam’s level, no download reccomendation, but I don’t reccomend not downloading it, either. In other words, download it if you want, but if you don’t, you’re not missing out on anything really awesome.
It’s way too small. The sprite layer eyecandy is decent, but there is nothing much in the background, and the tiles in layer 8 do not align. The enemy placement isn’t too bad, but it’s too easy. There aren’t enough enemies. Again, I’ll say, it’s way, way too small. Spend more time on your levels. No download reccomendation. If this were bigger, I might give around a 6.5, which is above average.
DX and Snooz overrate things, and Inf. Spaz underrates things. I suppose I should even things out. This level is kind of cramped. It doesn’t flow all that well, and it can be hard to navigate through with easy. The eyecandy is okay. It’s original, though. You put richochets on the trees, and your explanation to me was, “it’s a special species of trees.” There is also snow in the jungle, which looks neat when proper lighting is used. Kind of weird, but, neat. No big download reccomendation, but I don’t reccomend not downloading this, either.
This is not really a remix. It just speeds it up and changes the instruments. I could do this in less than 5 minutes. It hurts my ears, it’s too high…. it’s just annoying. No download reccomendation.
I don’t lick remixes. Ignoring the fact that you hope we lick remixes AND worms, what is this a remix of?
I could never find that level, nor a sound clip of the music for it, so, no rating.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
LOL, Radium ;p
Now, for the review. I don’t see what this level has to do with worms, first of all. The level tries to mix ground force elements and battle elements together, but overall, it fails. It’s an interesting concept, but what happens when you run out of blocks if you don’t host this in splitscreen? It’d be annoying to have to restart. The eyecandy isn’t much, but I suppose it’s probably the best anyone (besides someone who’s great with eyecandy, like BlurredD or Evilmike, etc.) could do with this basic set. No real download reccomendation.[This review has been edited by labratkid]
Bloodrabbit, a bunch of 7.1’s and 7.6’s will get around 7.3 when averaged together, not 8. Foo.
