Nice tileset. Plenty of detail put into simple blocks. If Blur didn’t make a Survivor level with this yet, I’m sure there will be one in his next Survivor pack.

Nice level by Snooz… it’s rather Spaz biased, but not too bad. There is no background or foreground eyecandy, which isn’t good, and I think there should’ve been at least 1 weapon powerup. This is a good level, though.

Party bunny, I hate to break it to you, but this level is medium sized… that doesn’t make it good. It has bad gameplay, no eyecandy, and is boring.

Keep trying. Spend time on your levels. The average time I spend on my medium sized ones is 7 – 8 hours. If you don’t have 7 – 8 hours, spread them out across long periods of time – let’s say a month. Most levels made by the masters of level making take at least a month. This level, and the Mario 3 Battle probably didn’t take more than a half hour, or maybe an hour. If you are not willing to spend a lot of time on levels, JCS is probably not your thing.

What can I say? This level is bad.

Waz is a lot like me. He makes really solid levels in short amounts of time.

This level uses Waz’s own tileset, and is good all around. Layer 5 and 6 look funny though because they look like they have an Auto-X speed sometimes while you are moving. Kind of weird looking. Download reccomendation, all.

This is a surprisingly good tileset. It looks a lot like many of Skulg’s tilesets (for example, Death Metal, and Lava Lamp). It’s a very simple and small tileset with minimal animations, but so were most of Skulg’s. I would rate this higher if you put in some animations besides that alien thing.
Download reccomendation for level building n00bs who want their levels to look nice, and not have a hard time building them.

Hey, this is not a beta. Also, this is a demo – but not a demo as in a beta. A demonstration demonstrating some advanced features of JCS that are unused. It shows how having little enemies and lots of hazards can make a hard level. This level is harder than most, actually. I doubt this is the best, since it doesn’t use Hotel Dream or True Rabbit Hotel… it won’t look nice if it doesn’t use them. Anyway, upload the tileset so I can have a look, anyway, since I review just about everything.

Bad eyecandy, awful gameplay, boring, and just bad. I’m sorry but I can not give this a good rating.

I’ll let you off this time since you are making edits of default levels.
Now, when I extract this, I am going to have to delete all of Mikeejimbo’s levels that I was trying to beta-test because they have the same filename, and I’m going to have to delete all the single player shareware levels I all ready have because you didn’t change the filename. So I created a new folder and ran them manually.
Making me do this work is all ready a bad thing.

Sorry, no download reccomendation. Put more effort into your levels. Download a good single player level, and look at it – look at what makes a single player level good.
To make a good single player level.
1.) Make it long.
2.) Make it original.
3.) Make it hard, but not TOO hard.
4.) Put in skill level settings.
5.) Put in funny text messages :-)
6.) Put in food, but don’t overdo it!
7.) Put in gems.
8.) What am I saying? Read some articles in the articles section.

Level 1
This is the level, Carrot Cream, but you decided to give it a make over, just so it’d be hard to recognize. Well, you know what? I regonized it. And this is not your work.

Level 2
I’ve never seen this level elsewhere, but it’s still very bad. Bad eyecandy, too short…

Level 3
Better, but still bad.

Level 4
Bad, short, bad.

If you’re going to make a level, please make it your own level with your own ideas – you copied the level, Carrot Cream, and I know it – you took out the credits for the original carrot cream, too. THe place with the sucker tube and the green gems was the place where the REAL people were credited. So in hopes of us not finding out it’s not yours, you deleted them.

Conversions from first person shooters never come out good because one wall tile from that game takes about 8 – 10 on JJ2, so you have to align everything PERFECTLY. It’s no different with this. I won’t rate it because you didn’t even make it a .j2t, there is no mask, and nothing to do but look at a .bmp. I’ll rate if after you make a mask and create a .j2t.

The compressed folder is invalid or corrupted.

This level is very nice. The eyecandy is pretty good (okay), the weapons placement isn’t TOO bad (it’s not THAT good…). There are some gameplay bugs here and there, but it’s a good download.

Getting better, Kaa, but still bad. This is just a bunch of ugly platforms with coins on them, and powerups on the side. Keep practising. I advise you to make a single player level.

This isn’t very good, actually. It took me about 45 seconds to beat, too, and I never went below 3 HP.

Eyecandy – Bad
Little to no eyecandy is here, all though the tiles do fit together. However, in this tileset, it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE not to have all the tiles fit together. The background is just space. A lava lamp or to gooing around would look nice.
Replay fun factor – Very bad
This isn’t worth another play, it’s too small and boring.
Enemy placement – Bad
Very bad enemy placement. Just a bunch of devils here and there.
Everything else – Bad.
This level is not worth the download, but I have to admit, your levels get better and better every time you make a new one.

This level doesn’t deserve in the 7’s, but it’s not THAT bad, and doesn’t deserve as low as a 3. If it was made with paint, it’s very good for a paint set, but if not, it’s still PRETTY good. It’s what I like to call a n00bset – Which means it’s a great set for newbies on level making to use, and it’s easy to use. An example is Skulg’s tilesets – Death Metal was a great tileset that is easy to use, and so is Lava Lamp. This tileset looks like it’d be fun to make levels with.
Download reccomendation is complicated.

Those of you who have a lot in common with Spaztic, Evil Mike, Violet CLM, etc. stay away from this.
Those of you who aren’t as good as making levels, and I won’t use any names, this is a perfect download for you guys.
