Rating Frog Race
To start:
Frog races are slow and boring? I agree with you. But this frog race is the best one I’ve ever seen!
Eyecandy: (20 pts)
Well… a bit normal. There is nothing special. It’s just like the classical JJ2 Diamondus-levels: trees in the background, diamonds in the walls… and those reddish brown ones are ugly!
Result: 11 pts
Gameplay: (20 pts)
Like I said in ‘To start’ this frog race is the best one ever. It’s the first frog race which isn’t slow. There is also an assembly line which is new into Diamondus-levels. I’ve never seen that before. There are also multiple routes. But it is furthermore nothing special. Just find Eva at the start/finish line and complete your lap. There is not so much special, but it is good.

This is a remake of the of original tileset from JJ1. This pack does not only have a tileset, but also a very good example level!
Practical: (20 pts)
If you are going to create a level with this tileset for the first time, I suggest you to ‘study’ this tileset before you start. There is sooooo much choice! There are pools of red liquid, there are towers and you can create a good background with it. But you really need to ‘study’ this tileset before you start, because if you don’t ‘study’, I think it will be very hard to create a level with it, because you don’t know if some tiles are platforms or for the background.
Result: 14 pts
Beautiful: (20 pts)
Beautiful it is! It is not only old boring stuff from JJ1, but there are also new elements, like the pools of red liquid, manhole covers and a statue of a head in a wall. But the tileset still have the Technoir-style. You can still recognize it as Technoir. Good job!
Result: 18½ pts
Originality: (10 pts)
It is not new, because there is already a Technoir tileset. But I said it earlier: there are also new elements which are very good and they really fit in Technoir. The new elements really give the ‘Technoir-environment.
Result: 6 pts
Example level: (10 pts)
Good job! It is a Single Player-level. Those levels are the best to use as an Example for a tileset, because you can see which events you can use. But there remains one small question: which bosses can we use if we want to create a level with this tileset?

Rating Mistery City
To start:
Another Single Player level!! At last. But one problem: it is a bad one.
Eyecandy: (20 pts)
The platforms are boring. The background is so-so. The skyscrapers on layer 6 and 7 are not good measured. You can see that when you arrive at the bottom of the level. But at least the X-Speeds and Y-Speeds are good. I’ll give you seven points for the Eyecandy.
Result: 7 pts
Gameplay: (20 pts)
The gameplay is good, but NOT wonderful. It is just a level with some enemies and obstacles. So just good. But you can trap yourself half way. On position 97, 16 you can jump on a platform on the left and when you go all the way to the left, you’ll fall and you’ll be trapped. So it is a so-so gameplay.
Result: 11 pts
Story: (10 pts)
There is no story. So this factor does not count for your final rating.

Obstacle placement: (20 pts)
There are too many enemies into the level. So not good. No points for the obstacle placement.

Bonus placement: (10 pts)
Not good. There is too much food, too much ammo and too much coins. And maybe there are also a bit too much gems. But the worst are the extra lives: there are 7 extra lives! I think it is better to place no more than three extra lives into one level. But at least you have PLACED bonuses into this level.
Result: 2 pts
Conclusion
Bad. Too much bonuses and enemies and a pretty sad Eyecandy. I’m sure that if you ask some tips from an advanced level creator (like EvilMike) and you will really use them everyone will give you a higher mark than this bad 3,6.

Another Windows-tileset. And once again it is a very worse tileset. If you like this tileset, you are a very strange human.
Practical: (20 pts)
More than impractical. The worst facts are these: it is impossible to create beautiful platforms and you can’t create a nice background. And you can’t put spikes into your level with this tileset. And there are a lot more bad things, so no points at all for this part. I’m terribly sorry…
Result: 0 pts
Beautiful (20 pts)
Well… it is NOT beautiful. No beautiful things, even not for layer 8. The paths are boring grey and there are almost no colorful things. So also a big fat zero for the second part.

Orginality (10 pts)
There was no Windows Vista Tileset yet uploaded, so that is original. But I can’t give you more than one point, because the rest is not original. If you put some more program-things into your tileset and maybe with some viruses which you can use as spikes I’m sure you’ll get more points…
Result: 1 pt
Example Level: (10 pts)
There is an example level, but it is very worse. You can’t discover how you should use this tileset. Which obstacles could you place into a level made with this tileset? Which enemies are good to use? So once again just one point.

Conclusion
Very bad tileset. If you want to create a new Windows-tileset, just ask an advance tileset-creator for help, like Agama or Blade. And also my friend Gus is a very good tileset-creator. Maybe they can give you tips and hints for your next tileset. In advance: good luck with your next files…

Three ‘overniced’ battle-levels, each with a very good Eyecandy, good placed goodies and a very good gameplay.
Eyecandy: (20 pts)
There are three levels and in each level is the Eyecandy so nice…
It is impossible to create a better Eyecandy than this. A nice colored sky, water- or lavafalls, trees and skyscrapers are a perfect decoration for the three levels. And there are little details in all of them. So twenty points!
Result: 20 pts
Gameplay: (20 pts)
The levels are very large. And that is very nice. Moreover it is impossible to go astray and that is always a big advantage, also for beginning JJ2-players. So also twenty points for this part.
Result: 20 pts
Ammo placement: (20 pts)
Ammo is good placed. You have placed lots of ammo into these levels. My opinion is that you need that. It could be very consume when you confront or chase your antagonist. So also twenty points for the Ammo placement.
Result: 20 pts
Carrot placement: (5 pts)
There are carrots placed, which could be necessary when you are badly injured. In each level (except level 3) are two carrots hidden. Good considered to only put carrots in level 1 and 2, because if you are badly injured in the third level and you want to take a carrot, you can’t find one. So when a rabbit search a carrot (without success) the antagonist will probable chase him, so that will be very exciting.

[Unsupported rating (10) removal. I’m sorry. You’ve obviously done your best on the review and it’s much more well-written than some of your older ones. You’ve done a good job of explaining some of the concepts and ways you liked this level. But you give barely any reason as to why you rate everything 10 points. Ammo placement is not just about the amount of ammo you place in a level, but about how strategically it is placed and if it creates interesting gameplay concepts. The same goes for carrot placement, and gameplay. That the level is large and you don’t get stuck in one part is not a proper reason for rating something 10. Is the gameplay original? Does it make people play strategically? Is the level easy to navigate? “No dead ends” is not enough for a gameplay rating.
Size should probably not even be rated, as giving ratings is about how well the level works, not which kind of size you yourself like.
You say this level is perfect. One thing you can do to improve is realize that nothing is perfect. If you think a level is perfect and find yourself wishing to give a perfect rating, a light bulb should go up above your head, since thinking a level is perfect usually means you’re missing something.
At this point, I don’t know what to do with your reviews. What the difference between your reviews and other people’s is, is that they play competitively, and thus have a much more balanced view of how well a level works. You find joy in most levels, and don’t notice things the more seasoned players do. That’s not a problem, it’s probably a gift to focus like that and to have fun regardless of minute details. But it’s not a good basis for writing detailed reviews. You write interesting reviews, and apart from that I think this review is against our standards, I liked reading it. from a global point view, I found this review more positive to read than negative. I would recommend that you at least stay reviewing, but maybe give comments instead of reviews unless you’re really confident you give a balanced, detailed view (again, “enough ammo” just doesn’t cut it). – FQuist]

This Treasure Hunt-level is sometimes a little bit strange, but very good.

Good! To get gems you need to do challenges and games into the hotel. Like Mountain Climbing and Karate and you can also play Pinball… and there are lot of… well… doors. It are spring doors. (do you understand me?) You need to freeze them to pass. But there are two shortcomings. One: the enemies in the water. This is a Treasure Hunt level, not a Single Player level. And two: there is no exit. So if you have collected enough gems, you can’t exit the level to win! But furthermore it is a very good gameplay.
Result: 17 pts
Gem placement: (20 pts)
The gems are well placed! You can get them by completing challenges and games! I think you’ll say: “The gem placement is good!”. NOT! There is a generator on the gems, so they’ll always appear back and that makes it too easy. If there was no generator on the gems I’ll gave you 19 points… but now just 12…

But the worst is the (real!) coin warp. If you don’t find all of the coins, it is still possible to enter this area: you can go to a wall on the right of that room. So, the gameplay is very bad. I can’t give a point for this part. Sorry.

Large, larger, largest
This tileset is extremely big. 1030 tiles!! Overmuch. That’s very good. Because if a tileset is big, there is mostly very much choice.
Much of Asian levels possible
With this tileset you can create a complete episode about Asia. You can create a level in the mountains (Himalaya), at the Great Wall of China, in a city and still much more. Again, there is very much choice.
Beautiful?
Yes, it is very beautiful. The tilesets of Gus are always great. With his tilesets you can create very nice levels.
One disadvantage
This tileset is fantastic, only it is very disappointing that there are no sharp things to your rabbit to hurt yourself.

This is very well level-episode. Although it has some shortcomings, there is still sufficient fun.
Four good levels
In, around, on and under cities you must take off in four levels. There could always more come there, but these levels are fairly large and here and there considerable difficult.
Good things and shortcomings
The eyecandy is reasonable, but unfortunately here and there extremely difficult. Especially if you sit under the ground. That makes the levels very difficult, certainly for beginning Jazz Jackrabbit 2-players. That is a pity.
Moreover there is a bug at the fight with Devan Shell: he can jump away. If you a little bit to far from Devan, you must start entirely again with the fight.
Nevertheless there are also positive things. The levels contains a good number of bonusses. The enemies are good placed and sometimes is also complete funny what the rabbit ‘says’.
