Not too bad for a small set, but it can be done better…MUCH better.
There’s some eyecandy in the set, some basic stuff, and that’s about it… I don’t think people will ever be able to make something godd with this, since it’s actually to hard to see where you’re going, and there aren’t enough ground tiles.
To some guys above: you think it’s hard to make small sets? Well, you’re kinda wrong. I don’t want to brag, but I made a small one, that would probably have won the contest if I took part of it. It was actually very basic, but better than all the 40 tiled-tilesets I’ve seen so far, and it has got more xtra stuff, I believe… again, I really don’t want to brag, that ain’t me. But small sets aren’t that hard to make.
Edit: I gave the wrong rating. I gave a 3, but I wanted to give 6.

Violet: what’s so boring about using my own sets? It’s far more original than always seeing those official sets.
And about the masking of the used tilesets: that masking is perfect, exactly the way I wanted it to be. I don’t get what you meant with the problems on the pillars(which has nothing to do with the level, but with the tilesets, and shouldn’t influence the rating).
Edit: ah, ok.
Dx Dc: I’m very happy to get a 10. But, most people here would apreciate an english review instead of a dutch one. And if you give such a high rating, it would mostly be nececary to give a few arguments. [This review has been edited by Waz][This review has been edited by Waz]
Good for a first one.
Tileset use: perfect(it was the author’s tileset).
Layout: great.
Events: basicly some springs, freezers and TNT.
Eyecandy: good. Nothing special, though.
Overall: good race level. Not to hard and not too easy either. Worth a download.
I’m giving 8.5.
A below-average level.
Tileset use: The tileset use was perfect, but what could we expect with mez01…
Events: basicly monkeys, xmas lizards and bees(or something likely). Some food, actually not too good event placement and choice.
Story: You are Psycho Man, and you must escape from the monkey base. You’ve been thrown into prison with Eva apearantly. Don’t ask me what she’s doing there…
Layout: rather bad layout. Level was too short.
Eyecandy: eyecandy? nope, not really…
Overall: below average. 4.2.
Good luck for your next stuff.
No download reccomandation.
Actually a cool level.
Tileset use: perfect. I didn’t see any bugs.
Layout: good layout. This level has an interresting gameplay.
Events: weapon placement was just fine, but nothing exeptionnal.
Eyecandy: a little above average. Some parts could use a bit more though.
Overall: good level, worth a download. I give it 7.5.
I think I saw these levels a lot already on the net, but I think the ratings it has got so far(exept the one Cracco wanted to give) are a bit high. That’s just my point of view.
First level: actually, this one has a boring layout, and a bland weapon placement. Apart of that, it’s a good level.
Second level: it’s a good thing this one’s around too, since I would have given a much lower rating for only the first level. Not that it would have seriously dammaged the average rating…Anyways. This level has an interressting layout, and an average weapon placement. The eyecandy is good. The level is actually just average, but I’m giving a higher rating because of the fact I like it a lot.
I reccomend a download to everybody, since it’s good for a server, even though these levels are just average.
A 6.7 from me.
To Cracco: you know Cracco, I think this is one of those cases I also had, where it’s just a matter of taste. Some people like this kind of levels, others don’t. Appearantly, you don’t, and me and the others do. They’re not friends or anything.

Tileset use: I saw a few bugs, but nothing terrible.
Events: weapon placement was good enough, there was a bonus warp.
Layout: fair enough.
Eyecandy: not good. There wasn’t anything special, or so.
Overall: a little below average level, not worth a download. Sorry.
I’ll rate this the usual way…
Tileset use: probably the worst part of this level. Tiles didn’t fit together well, and you see dozens of bugs at erevy part of the level.
Event placement: Basicly a few weapons, that weren placed averagly.
Layout: When I saw it in JCS, I first thought it would be good. The layout seemed interresting. But once I played the level, I was actually disapointed. The layout is actually pretty bad.
Eyecandy: just average.
More pros or cons:
-pros: none
-cons: layer 8 was bad.
No download reccommmandation.
Thx for the reviews. I was hoping better ratings, though… I’ll try harder next time.
About the grey blocks and the space ship: First, I don’t understand why you say the ship is crashed. It’s not. It’s actually there for a SP story I wanted to make. It was also there in al the previous versions, I couldn’t just let it out. It wouldn’t be Hustar without the spaceship. The blocks were meant for some sort of abandond base.
Violet: this is not a multiplayer tileset. I just forgot the hurt stuff. I might edit the tileset once…
And a big question: WHEN DO WE USE 1.23 OR 1.24? Explain it! Evryone says different stuff. Who’s right?![This review has been edited by Waz]
A whole load of levels, most of it bad or at least below average. I won’t take the time to rate evrything sepparatly, at least not now. Maybe some other time.
A few advices:
1-don’t upload TOO much levels at once, since most of us rate it all sepparatly. Don’t make it more than 15 next time. (15 is a LOT, but still reasonnable.)
2-Make sure the stuff is FINISHED. What’s the idea of uploading unfinished stuff? You won’t get good ratings like this.
I won’t rate this, since it would take hours to check evrything out.
Old or not, this game mode is just boring(which doesn’t mean I don’t encourage people to make new modes. New modes sometimes rock).
I won’t rate the level, since it’s only some sort demo level for this gametype. And, since the gametype already exists, I won’t rate it either. Which means there’s nothing left to rate.
So, no rating from me.
Not too bad.
Tileset use: rather good. I saw bugs, but there weren’t many.
Layout: actually quite interessting. I have the feeling there’s something “new” in it, but I can’t tell what it is.
Event placement: weapon placement was good. There was a sucker tube, but I didn’t get what it was doing there.
Eyecandy: average. Nothing special.
Overall: a funny level worth a download.
Indeed, tileset is missing. I guess it’s supposed to be “diamondus”, instead of “diamond”, which is another set.
So, it’s your first level. Not too bad…
Tileset use: it was good, I believe. No major bugs.
Eyecandy: also good. Nothing special though.
Layout: bad. Way too straight. Very thin walls. You have to follow some sort of road. That’s bad for battles.
Events: weapon placement was a little below avegare. Too many warps in this level.
Overall: slightly below average level. +0.5 since this is your first level.
Not bad for afirst SP level.
Tileset use: rather good, though I saw a few bugs.
Event placement: good enough. Maybe a little too much ennemies.
Eyecandy: not that good. There was no layer 5-7, and not much on layer 4.
Layout: a bit straight.
Gameplay: fun enough…
Overall: a good first SP level.
Download: yes[This review has been edited by Waz]
This level is kinda nice.
Tileset use: good. I didn’t see any bugs.
Event placement: the ammo was placed in a fine way. Though there wasn’t much of it. Maybe a little more would have been better. Apart from the ammo there were some springs, which were sometimes placed a bit weirdly.
Layout: good enough. Though it’s a little bit hard to get around.
Eyecandy: nothing special about that, but good still.
Overall: average level
Download: yeah, could be fun for a server.
A rather bad level… but it’s the first try, so…
Tileset use: not too good. I saw many bugs and parts that don’t fit together.
Layout: boring. mostly just a straight path with a few warps.
Events: not much weaponnery, a few warps, and that’s it.
Eyecandy: bad. There was some though, but not enough.
Gameplay: Boring. Nothing fun about this level.
I give a tiny plus for the text sceneries that had a little sence of humor in them. They didn’t really make me laugh, but it’s fun to have funny text thingies in levels. At least, that’s what I think…
Waz’s Wise Words: spend more time on levels. Make a better layout.
First: ALWAYS INCLUDE TILESETS WHEN THEY’RE CUSTOM!! I’m getting tired of people who don’t understand that we don’t all have everything.
I only rated the two levels that use carrotus and castle, since I didn’t have the other tilesets.
Both the levels were very bad. Tileset use was horrible, layout disgusting, I won’t even talk about event placement.
Spend more time on your levels, leole. Cuz this really won’t do. A good level at least takes 3 hours to make, mostly even much, MUCH more.
EDIT: Calm down, little man, calm down. 10 levels in 5 days and get 10 is impossible, even for the best. i’M NOT an expert, but, I’m far from beeing the worst member of this society, so I know what I’m talking about(look at my rank. It’s not the first time I rate stuff), and I know that you are new here. And it’s not because I’m not an expert that I won’t give bad ratings. Even the real under-rookies rate low. These bad ratings I give are nothing personnal against you. You must understand that. And don’t expect people not to rate when they don’t like your stuff.
Since you’re new here and you seem mad that I gave you a bad rating, I’ll remove the rating this time. But, next time, I’ll have no mercy. Just spend more time on your levels. And take my advice: begin with easy-to-use tilesets. Like MEZ01. And view the “help” files if you don’t know the things you need to know.

Cool set.
I don’t know if it’s a good conversion since I don’t have Jazz1, but I like this.
A 7.5
Not bad for a first try indeed.
There was a kinda simple layout in the level, but it wasn’t that bad. The ammo placement wasn’t great, but it will do.
The worse thing in this level is the tileset use, which wasn’t good. I saw bugs everywhere.
Overall: still good for a first.
