How could you asses a level with no music, no many game play possibilities and only 4 layers in use with 10? The funny thing is that you can’t even rate this level because of its size.
I tagged it as ‘‘the end of the world’‘. If you suggest something more adequate, please say.
A wonderful concept which could have been one of the bests if the game-play, the eye-candy would’ve succeed in the same perfect way. But then again, the music choice and some excellent replies will set this level to your selection, DTD2 managing as an alternative level for your boredom.
It’s not bad at all for your first level! Well done, Kat! :D
‘‘Words can’t describe’‘ how much I lol’d at jamster’s comment.
I don’t know how, but I think this level is the best one I have ever seen on JJ2. It has everything.
@Narsist, what is this level useful for?
What RedMser said. If you’re giving a 10, at least have some other explanations than ‘eyecandy, gameplay is brilliant’ with you.
@Rippor I hardly understand anything from your comment. Oo
This is probably the most original, creative and fun concept I’ve ever seen around these days. Your ideas are brilliant, and it makes me rate the pack high, as you deserve.
Far away from an original and interesting concept, this level is nothing else but a short method to express a battle for 1 health, or I don’t know, take it however you want. I can’t rate this higher considering that Wild Carrot doesn’t give any new aspect and a strong reason to be played.
EDIT: I won’t edit my review because that’s what I think. If minmay has another opinion, he/she’s invited to write it here. And I don’t think people shouldn’t rate general levels just because the author ‘‘didn’t ask for’‘.
Not even infinite. But hey, because of the music.
This is the most fun and original pack I’ve ever seen around! I don’t know why, but I just can’t ignore it without giving it a perfect ten.
Oh another sweet tile set who learns us once again how to declaim… wait who’s Iron Maiden? Whatever.
Tile set Choice
Very good, original, many tiles added and it can construct a lot of interesting and deep design.
Eye candy
Once again the level shows up how to use all the layers in a correct and democratic mode, whatever that means. The blocks arrangement is annoying, you know, hitting a block right before you jumped from another, but it doesn’t matter because this level is cool. Like the background.
Game play / Ammo Placement
As I said the level uses in a way too many similar blocks (w8 there’s only one in the tile set), warp positions almost strange (you added a wind before one of them or something?), and all you have to do is to jump… jump, jump, jump and don’t fall because you’ll have to jump again. Some USEFUL ammo, but in a way you put too much events and it’s easy to get god mode (delay?). Well, the carrot story is old and boring…
Music
stops being sarcastic
Cool. starts being sarcastic
Overall
Sorry I still need to get a reason for giving a full review on this.
Mostly this level is based on luck, as Snooze said taking the full carrot is very risky, especially because you may fall into the pit or be killed with ammo9 right before you think you would get 3h again. However the originality increases my personal rate, Employee of the Month succeeding very fast and becoming a ‘must-play’ level for every CTF player who respects himself.
EvilMike: I was actually making a reefer to some tips like camping the tubes, taking the flying carrot right after the game started, camping on the warp target up the full carrot, getting the power-ups with Spaz special move (you never know if you get hit by seeks) etc. I agree on the carrot part, but many people use the warp after taking it, and as I said they might get shot again because there are some serious camp places in this level.
‘‘or if you’re skilled enough to shoot down the full nrg and catch it when it’s falling (this is the quickest way to get it).’‘
No it’s not true. I actually tried sometime to do that, and it’s practically impossible to take it ‘‘when it’s falling’‘, maybe you meant when it gets down? Yeah, but you never know when the enemy comes with the bouncer prepared. Anyway I had the pleasure to participate to the ODT Event, and saw how lag affects so much the game here.
Erm and where’s the End Area or I’m just not getting the point? Oo
Well as I said in your previous upload (which now it’s no longer available), this level can be fun only for the ‘instagib LRS’ players and nothing more.
Actually this level works only in duels, due to this exciting new feature, the light switch. A perfect sized symmetrical level, a standard eye candy, but after all it’s very fun.
‘‘Cheaters never prosper’‘. I didn’t cheat, I used Spaz to get there.
Why do you vote this pack with 8 or less? The design and effects are impressive, the gameplay is interactive and hard, but the most important thing is that these levels are VERY FUN!
