Being an ambassador for Water Demon, I shall post a few responses.

The background is the plain purple tile, which allows it and the purple ramps to be invisible floor/slopes.
I added the hidden mask messages, but I put in nothing Water Demon did not agree with.
Also, he stole the Spaz with the funky hat from one of my tilesets, the little thief. ;) Oh well, I can’t say I care all that much. I’ve got other stuff.

In closing, Water Demon says he will be making an expanded version, presumably with the stuff you people are requesting. The tile bugs will probably also be fixed.

Fun. Now that I actually see this tileset used in a level, I can see (quite a few, really) masking bugs, and color non constants, but this isn’t a Tileset upload.

This level is a good sized battle map, with loads and loads of ammo. (A little too much, in my opinion) Also, as you’ve pointed out so kindly to me, DO NOT USE FOOD IN BATTLE LEVELS. :P It won’t stop me, but you could try taking your own advice.

There is a decent amount of powerups, all available using the Electro Blaster (Gun9) or the secret ways >CelL< included for most, or all of them.

Just download it.

This level has either improved over the last release quite a bit, or I remember the last release wrong.

The amount of ammo has increased to a quite good amount, making there not be an overflow of ammo, but no lack either, the design seems better, (or maybe I looked wrong before) and the tubes are following with a good suggestion.

Still, there is no eyecandy other then layer 4, and Mountain Pass has a wrong next level setting. Very bad for battle servers, and considering the night version leads to it, I would advise modifying before hosting. (Never mind, levels are passworded)

Rating becomes a 5.5, the true average. (It’s true, 5 is closer to 1 then to 10)

Well, I happen to have all the tilesets except for Astronaut3, 7 and 10, so I guess I’ll rate this.

Bad points:
No tilesets included.
The eyecandy in the levels.
The gameplay in the levels.
The enemy placement in the levels.
The lighting in the earlier levels.

Good points:
The tileset “A Fireplace” was used.
There were some aspects of good areas being suggested, almost.
…yeah.

Nice, very nice. There are some really cool ideas, (like plants floating on water) though I’m not so sure why the water is stand in type. There are also some parts in this level which make me think “If Jazz 1 had a battle mode”, because they look rather JJ1 style. Good job!

Personally, I would have liked some more red block structures, but I guess the black and green stuff is easier.

There are some cool things like water falls in diagonal alcoves in the wall, secret passages, and even the easter eg “Grey Rabbit King” with a full energy carrot cleverly protected.

Overall, this is a great level, and I’m not quite sure how CelL manages to work this fast.

First of all, Flash, that’s as close as you can get to “eyecandy” using only events. Second, all the swinging vine stuff is great for h-poles and hooks, as is shown in the example level. All the tiles have uses.

Also, I have no idea what any of you are talking about with “combine with other tilesets”? Could you explain a little further please? :D

And one more thing. IMHO, this tileset is very easy and fun to make levels with. I greatly enjoyed creating that example level, for example. More fun then I get out of a lot of levels, anyway.

Well, there are some masking problems, but this is a battle level, not a tileset.

The battle level is well done, with some nice ideas, (two planets!) but isn’t quite as good as Magoo’s….. what was it called, anyway? :P

I like this level. It uses some nifty layering tricks, a weird tube (I think I know how he did that…. do I?) and some other stuffness. However, there is a slight lack of ammo.

Bad layer 8, bad layer 4. (in some parts) bad layer 3, bad masking, way too many villains, bad text events (layer 0?) aaaaaaand a lot of bad gameplay.

I don’t like this level all that much. It sounds like an LRS, but I’m not sure. Ah well, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt anyway.
The design isn’t all that good, the use of the tileset is bad, and the eyecandy is low. However, there are one or two good ideas. Below average.

Hmmmm……

These levels were very overdosed on eyecandy, hard to see where you’re going.
The second level was way too dark.
It was very hard to get anywhere because of bad design.
The buildings weren’t constructed very well.
The first level feels a lot like a single player level in several places.
These levels are a little to big to be the sort of thing I like.
TNT is used.
There are WAY too many weapons/

There are several good things about these, but the bad points mostly over rule them. However, these are still above average. 6.5.

Still not all that hard….. However, it’s a good half hour or something of fun, I guess. Unfortunately, I liked Wind Meister better then this. Problems included….

An airboard test.
An obvious lack of green blocks.
An airboard test.
Those huge long tubes that you have to go left in in order to reach the next floor.
An airboard test. (Did I mention I hate airboard tests?)

Note to Sr Jp Cb At:
There is no way to get airboards to generate faster then that that I know of except for the airboard SCE (Super fast spawn!) which only works in single player.[This review has been edited by Violet CLM]

Well, it’s a little hard to rate this, as all the levels are of rather different quality.

Fire-7.2

I like this level. Good single player layout, nice villains, pickup stuffness.

Ice-7

Same here, only not quite so good.

One-6

This has the feel of a level you made when you saw something else and said “I can do that!!”. It might be better as a generic test with a few more obstacles, as the areas between the puzzles are rather boring.

Diamonds-5

Originally I thought this was going to get a higher rating, but it turned out I had been seeing the best part. This is (as far as I can tell) a mostly cramped battle level, with low weapons and some other things.

Joy-4.7

Same here, only not quite so good.

Hotel5-5

What can I say? It just looked totally average, and it used a hotel tileset I’m not all that fond of.

Puzzle-7

Although the bird tests got rather annoying, this is still a fun and enjoyable test level. (I’ll never understand why some people call them puzzles. They have little to do with your mind, after all.)

One of your first levels? I’m impressed. There are several text events which try to be funny (including “Holy Chickens” +1) and stuffness.
There’s also ok weapon placement, and good use of powerups.
Unfortuntately, there’s no Jazz start, and there are lots of hurt events.

Above average by two points it is.
